What does the Bible say about the security of salvation?

Answered in 14 sources

The Bible teaches that our salvation is secured through the person of Jesus Christ, who is the wall of protection for believers.

Scripture reveals that our security in salvation is not based on our efforts but on Christ Himself. In Revelation 21:17, the wall of the city is described as a metaphor for the protection and security that Jesus provides to His people. This wall, representing salvation, denotes how the Lord is our refuge and strength, depicted as a wall of fire around His people (Zechariah 2:5). Ultimately, our comfort lies not in our sincerity or actions, but in the steadfast nature of Christ as our Savior. He is the 'Mother Load' or standard from which all measures of salvation and security are derived.
