What does the Bible say about the uniqueness of the gospel?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that there is only one gospel, which is Jesus Christ and Him crucified; there is no other message that can save.

The uniqueness of the gospel is emphasized throughout Scripture, particularly in Galatians 1:6-9, where Paul warns against any other gospel, stating that it is not a true gospel at all. Just as David recognized the singularity of Goliath's sword, we must also acknowledge that there is no other good news for sinners aside from the message of Christ's finished work. The gospel is the only true sword given to believers for their battles, underscoring that salvation cannot be found in any alternative message or works but solely through faith in Jesus Christ—the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
