What does the Bible say about typology?

Typology is the study of symbols and types in Scripture, especially how they point to the person and work of Jesus Christ. In Exodus 25, we see examples of types that serve to illustrate God's plan of redemption through Christ. These types include objects from the Old Testament, such as the sanctuary, which represent God's presence among His people and foreshadow the ultimate dwelling of God with humanity in Christ.
