What is the significance of being justified by faith?

Answered in 8 sources

Being justified by faith brings peace with God and access to His grace, which is essential for the believer's relationship with Him.

Justification by faith is a central tenet of Reformed theology, as it establishes believers in a right standing before God, based on faith in Christ alone. Romans 5:1 states, 'Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' This peace is foundational, as it signifies a restored relationship between the believer and God, broken by sin. Furthermore, justification gives believers access to grace, enabling them to live in the freedom of God’s love rather than the bondage of sin. It reassures believers that their salvation is secure and encourages them to live in light of God's redemptive love and grace towards them.
