What role does faith play in understanding God's goodness?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential in embracing and trusting God's goodness, especially during trials.

Faith plays a crucial role in how believers receive and experience God’s goodness. It is through faith that we recognize and trust His promises, especially in times of hardship. Scripture teaches that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6) and to accept His goodness. The goodness of God can be especially challenging to see when circumstances are difficult or seem evil; however, trusting that God is good enables believers to maintain hope and peace. As Jeremiah 29:13 says, 'You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.' This depicts that faith leads to a deeper relationship with God and fuller recognition of His goodness.
