Why can't the law save us according to Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

The law cannot save us because it reveals our sinfulness without providing the power to fulfill its demands.

The law is perfect and good, but due to our sinful nature, we are incapable of keeping it, rendering us spiritually helpless (Romans 8:3). The law's purpose is not to save but to expose that we cannot achieve righteousness on our own. This incapacity points us toward our need for a Savior who can fulfill the law's demands on our behalf. Therefore, salvation comes not from law-keeping but from faith in Jesus Christ, who fulfilled the law through His life and sacrificial death.
