Why is acknowledging our depravity essential for Christians?

Acknowledging depravity is crucial as it reveals the total inability of man to save himself apart from divine intervention. The sermon points out that even though God provides natural light and understanding, this is perverted by sin. As Romans 3:10-12 emphasizes, no one is righteous on their own.
