Why is conversion necessary for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Conversion is essential because it signifies a transformation by God's grace necessary for entering the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3).

According to Matthew 18:3, Jesus declares the necessity of conversion for salvation. Conversion is not merely an external change but an internal transformation enabled by the Holy Spirit. It is through regeneration that individuals are made new creatures in Christ, overcoming their natural sinfulness. Without this regeneration and the subsequent conversion, one cannot enter the kingdom of heaven, as all must turn from their sin and depend on Christ for salvation.
