Why is doing God's will important for Christians?

In John 4:34, Jesus states, 'My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work.' This highlights the importance of obedience to God's will, which is intrinsically linked to the mission of Christ and the believer's fulfillment. By engaging in God's work, Christians participate in His redemptive plan, experience joy and fulfillment, and bear fruit for His kingdom. Without a commitment to doing God's will, believers risk living a life disconnected from the very purpose for which they were created. This drive to seek His kingdom first goes beyond mere obedience; it results in a life characterized by purpose, community, and the satisfaction of fulfilling God's intended design for us.
