Why is experiencing spiritual dryness important for Christians?
Answered in 1 source
Experiencing spiritual dryness can deepen our understanding of dependence on God and foster more genuine sympathy for others.
Spiritual dryness or periods of feeling 'stupid' about faith can serve multiple purposes in a believer's life. Such experiences remind us of our utter dependence on Christ and can prevent us from becoming spiritually proud. They keep us grounded and more adept at comforting others who are struggling. The Apostle Paul highlighted that his weaknesses made him rely more fully on Christ (2 Corinthians 12:10). By experiencing spiritual challenges, we can live out empathy and mutual support within the church, learning to minister to one another’s needs more effectively.
