Why is faith in Christ essential for hope?

Answered in 2 sources

Faith in Christ is vital for genuine hope because our hope is grounded in His resurrection and intercession.

True hope is intrinsically linked to our faith in Christ. The foundation of our hope rests on the assurance that Christ, having been raised from the dead, has secured our future. The Apostle Paul teaches that our hope is anchored because Christ serves as our mediator before God, and it is through Him that we anticipate eternal life. Without faith in Christ, hope becomes meaningless, as it is only through His victory over death that we can look forward to the promise of eternal life and communion with God.
