Why is it important for Christians to pray for the unsaved?

Answered in 1 source

Praying for the unsaved is essential as it expresses our desire for their salvation and reflects God's will for all to be saved.

The Bible makes it clear that God desires all men to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). As Christians, our responsibility is to intercede for others, including those who have yet to hear the gospel. Our fervent prayers for the unsaved not only demonstrate our love and concern for their eternal wellbeing but also affirm our understanding of the gospel's transformative power. By praying for their salvation, we align ourselves with God's mission to rescue the lost, acknowledging that it is through the proclamation of the gospel that faith comes, allowing them to respond to the grace freely offered in Christ.
