Why is it important to glory in the Lord?

Answered in 1 source

Glorifying in the Lord honors His grace and affirms our reliance on Him for salvation.

Christians are called to glory in the Lord, as stated in 1 Corinthians 1:31. This act of glorification serves to acknowledge that all we have and all we are comes from God alone, and it opposes any notion of self-reliance or boasting. When we boast in the Lord, we reflect our faith in His grace that saves us, rather than in our own works. This not only humbles us but also brings joy and encouragement as we recognize the complete sufficiency found in Him. Glorifying in the Lord keeps our focus on His sovereign grace and empowers us to live out our faith in light of His goodness and mercy.
