Why is Scripture important for understanding salvation?

The authority of Scripture is fundamental in understanding God’s plan for salvation. As highlighted in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness. In Romans 10, the apostle Paul emphasizes the necessity of preaching the Word for people to hear and believe. He argues in Romans 10:14 that one cannot call on the Lord unless they have first believed, and they cannot believe without hearing the message of Christ.
