Why is the blood of Christ vital for believers?

Answered in 1 source

The blood of Christ cleanses believers and allows them to draw near to God.

The blood of Christ is of utmost importance for believers because it serves as the basis of our justification and sanctification. Hebrews 10 teaches that our hearts need to be sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water—indicating both our need for spiritual cleansing and the ongoing process of sanctification. This cleansing through Christ's blood enables us to approach God with a true heart and full assurance of faith. Without His blood, we remain separated from God; with it, we hold access to the Father, who sees us as pure and righteous through Christ's sacrificial act.
