Why is the incarnation of Christ significant for Christians?

Answered in 9 sources

The incarnation is crucial because through it, Christ became our substitute, fulfilling all the requirements of the law and redeeming us from sin.

The incarnation signifies the moment God became man in the person of Jesus Christ, as explained in Hebrews 10:5-9. This act was essential for mediatorship and the fulfilling of God’s covenant. By taking on human flesh, Christ enabled Himself to represent His people before God. His life was lived under the law, and through His obedience, He established righteousness for us. This also means that in His sacrificial death, He bore the penalty for our sins, thus redeeming us completely. The significance lies in our justification and reconciliation with God through His perfect work.
