Why is the incarnation of Jesus important for Christians?

Answered in 7 sources

The incarnation of Jesus is crucial because it reveals God as man and assures believers of their salvation through Him (John 1:14).

The incarnation of Jesus Christ is of utmost importance for Christians as it embodies the mystery of God becoming man to accomplish salvation. As expressed in John 1:14, the Word became flesh, making it possible for believers to witness His glory, which is that of the only begotten of the Father. This doctrine underscores the dual nature of Christ, fully God and fully man, and equips Him to be the perfect mediator between God and humanity. Without the incarnation, the sacrificial atonement would not have occurred, leaving humans without hope. Therefore, the incarnation is essential for understanding God’s redemptive plan and attaining assurance of salvation.
