Why is the relationship with Christ more important than family ties?

This underscores the idea that salvation and our relationship with God is not contingent upon earthly affiliations but rather through divine election in Christ. Jesus Himself taught that true family is defined by those who do the will of God (Matthew 12:50). Thus, for a believer, their bond with Christ establishes the foundation for all relationships and is the source of spiritual life and purpose, even above blood relations.
