Why is trusting in God over human methods important?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting in God rather than human methods leads to true peace and fulfillment of His promises.

The natural tendency to resort to our own solutions when faced with uncertainty often leads away from God's intended plan. Abraham's reliance on Sarah's proposal to bear a child through Hagar was a departure from faith (Genesis 16). This demonstrates that when believers lean on their understanding rather than God, they risk deviating from the path of His promise. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to rely on our own understanding. Ultimately, our faith in God liberates us from the burdens and limitations of human schemes and positions us to receive His blessings.
