Why is union with Christ significant for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Union with Christ is significant because it is through Him that we receive all of God's blessings and grace.

The significance of our union with Christ is profound as it represents our participation in everything He has accomplished on our behalf. Scripture teaches that we are joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17), and this union grants us access to God's grace and blessings. Moreover, our identity as believers hinges on being in Christ; it is how we experience the fullness of His grace, love, and mercy. Without this vital unity, we would be severed from the source of our spiritual life.
