Why should Christians avoid speaking evil of one another?

Answered in 1 source

Speaking evil of one another distorts the love and unity intended among believers (James 4:11).

In James 4:11, we are cautioned against speaking evil of one another, as it not only judges our brethren but also violates the law of love that Christ has established within His body. Such behavior brings about division and strife, which is contrary to the unity and harmony that should mark Christian community. Instead of criticizing or condemning, we are encouraged to uplift and support one another, fostering a spirit of love and grace. Upholding each other reflects the truth of the Gospel and exemplifies Christ's love, which is foundational for effective witness in the world.
