Why should Christians submit to authority?

Submission to authority is a biblical principle rooted in the understanding that all authority ultimately comes from God. In 1 Peter 2:13-14, Peter instructs believers to submit to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake. This submission acknowledges the role of authorities, such as government, in providing order and executing justice.
