Let's take our Bibles once again
and turn to the book of Romans, Romans chapter 8. We're going through the book
of Romans, the letter from the Apostle Paul that was written
to the church at Rome. Romans chapter 8. The last time we met, we looked and we stopped at verse
23. It's actually what we did. Romans
8, 23. And the Apostle Paul had made a statement
under the inspiration of the Spirit of God. And you know,
as we read, we need to be reminded that these Scriptures, you know,
we speak of Paul writing, Paul's writing, and Paul was the penman.
There's no doubt about that. But remember that every Scripture
is given by inspiration of God. It's God-breathed. This is the
very expression of the mind of God. God Almighty who promised
Two or three are gathered together in my name. I'm in the midst
of you. I got to thinking about that
again the other day, and I thought to myself, you know, two or three
are gathered together in my name. Where two or three are gathered
together in my name, in my character, in my character. And you know,
Listen, I know, oh my goodness, I'm telling you, I'm just expressing
my heart to you here. How easily, how easily my old
frail man, that old nature, how it just battles the whole time. While I'm standing here, while
I'm actually standing here And I've got a set of notes here
and I've got my Bible. And while I'm standing here proclaiming,
I know, I'm convinced the glorious gospel of God's free grace. A
battle just goes on inside of me. And I just back and forth
and I think this and I go here and back and forth. There's so
much activity. Going on inside of me, you say,
well, are you telling me that you're not just sitting there
just 100% focused? I mean, you know, you're the
pastor. I said, I'm going to tell you
something. I'm standing here struggling. That's what I'm doing. A message from God. Who's sufficient
for these things? And while I'm standing here,
I'm thinking about two or three gathered together in my name. I'm thinking, here's every person
in this congregation this morning, and you're doing the same thing
I'm doing. You've got things going on in your mind, and you're
thinking about yesterday and tomorrow and something else,
and I'm telling you, It's God Himself that alone beholds
those that have met together in His name. God that considers
and knows that we are but dust. And you ask yourself this, Lord,
have I met in Your name today? Have I? Help me. Help me. I desperately need some help. We all need some help this morning. We're sitting here this morning
waiting for the adoption to wit the redemption of our body. We're
here this morning because we believe that Christ is returning. We believe that. I believe He's
coming back. Groaning, that's what the apostle
says, that believers just like unbelievers. You know, that's
what verse 23 started off. And not only they, verse 22 says,
we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain
together until now. Everything's affected by sin.
The rocks rent. Animals die. Plants die. Stuff rots. And Paul says that not only they,
but we also, ourselves also, which have the first fruits of
the Spirit. We've grown within ourselves. Get sick, get tired,
get disappointed, just waiting, expecting for the adoption. That is the open revelation of
His eternal adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body, the
liberation from the present body of death. That's what we're waiting
on. Last time we read 1 Corinthians 15, verses 41 to 45. Turn back there for a minute.
I told you last time, I said, I want to read this, 1 Corinthians
15. And I said, we'll read this and then today, Lord willing,
we'll pick up right there. Back in 1 Corinthians 15, 41,
45, looking at those few verses again,
Paul says, In verse 41, there is one glory of the sun, another
glory of the moon, another glory of the stars, for one star differeth
from another star in glory. Now remember, what he's talking
about is in direct correlation to waiting for the redemption
of our body, the transformation. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15-41
that there's differences. You know this in what we physically
see in the heavens. That's why he says there's one
glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, the stars. One star
differs from another star in glory. We can actually look and
see and figure out that there's something different about the
sun and the moon. and the stars. They're not the
same. They don't look the same. They
don't react the same. There's a different glory. Paul
says in verse 42, so also is the resurrection of the dead.
It is sown in corruption. It's raised in incorruption.
Just like there's differences in the heavenly bodies. Paul reveals, under the inspiration
of the Spirit of God, that there's going to be a definite difference
in our resurrected body from our present body. How is that,
Paul? Well, he says it's sown in corruption. This earthly body is a corruptible
body. The Scripture reveals that it's
going to return to the dust from which it was taken. It's subject
all obviously to disease. There's been a lot of us sick.
We get sick. We shall get sick. We have been
sick. And it's going to die. It's going to die. It's appointed
unto man once to die. It's sown in corruption, but
it's raised in incorruption. In the redemption of our body,
that body is going to be free from all impurity. It's not going
to perish. It will be incapable of decay. Everything that can be said about
this body that hurts and gets older and it breaks down, everything
that can be said about this body will be the exact opposite. of our new body. Verse 43, it's sown in dishonor,
raised in glory. Sown in weakness, raised in power. Right now, it is obviously, it's
without honor. It's disgraceful and shut out. That's why it'll have to be buried.
because it's going to decay. Well, you just wouldn't want
to keep the body out. You're just dishonored, sold,
and because of the effects of sin are loathsome. You think, well, I'd like to
just, you know, kind of keep it around. No, you wouldn't.
No, you wouldn't. You want to put it away. Sown
in dishonor, raised in glory. What does that mean? Well, it
means he is going to be raised according to the glorious opinion
of Almighty God. God's glory. God said, I'll show
mercy to whom I'll show mercy. I'll show compassion to whom
I'll show compassion. And even in the resurrection,
this body is going to be raised in God's glory, God's honor,
God's opinion, God's thinking. Philippians 3.21 says this concerning
the resurrection, "...who shall change our vile body, that it
might be fashioned unto his glorious body, according to the working
whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself." Now,
this body of humiliation, this body of dishonor, this sinful
flesh. It says, "...whom shall change
our vile body." That word change there is the word from which
we get metamorphosis. Now, you know a little bit. I
know a little bit about metamorphosis. I don't know a whole lot. Believe
me, I wasn't listening like I should have been. I can spell metamorphosis
with a spell checker. I can, you know, and I know that
metamorphosis means that it changes from something into another appearance. It takes on another look. A caterpillar
turns into a butterfly. that that caterpillar needs to
be a caterpillar is in that caterpillar. And everything that that butterfly
needs to be a butterfly is in that caterpillar too. But see
with us, there's going to be a putting off of something. We're
going to This body is going to be sown in corruption, and there's
going to be a change when He comes out, a metamorphosis, and
it's going to be fashioned, or it's going to be caused to be,
or it's going to come into being like unto, to have the same form
as another, His glorious body, or the body of His glory. according
to the working, the power, the energy of Almighty God. Now, back in our verse right
here, 1 Corinthians 4, 3, sown in weakness is powerless to do anything to
stop it. You cannot, you know, I listen,
men speak of, and I know they honestly do it. In their mind,
they honestly do it. They speak of man's ability,
man's will, positive thinking, free will. And I have said this
before. If a man had a free will, if
a doctor told him he had cancer, he could say, I don't either.
Not anymore. I just willed it away. If his
will was free. Free will means bound by nothing. Free. Bound by nothing. Bound
by nothing. So if a man has a free will,
it is bound by nothing. But he doesn't. He's not free. This body right here is sown
in weakness, is what he said. It's feeble. And it's powerless
to do anything to resist death or decay. I cannot stop myself
from getting sick. Last week, first time I felt
a little right up here. I just kind of hurt when I swallowed
right there. Right then I said, OK, that's
it, buddy. You're not going to be down for
a week. Do you know I was powerless to
do anything about it? I just didn't feel good. And
it didn't matter. It's raised in power. Raised by the power of God and
no more liable to the weakness of age or disease or decay or
death. Scripture says it's sown a natural
body. Raise the spiritual body. There's
a natural body and a spiritual body. Sown a natural body, a
body that is composed, and this is the way it is. You've got
bones and muscles and blood and you're given motion to by a soul. There's something, there's life
in you that causes your body to do what it does. Amazingly
made. The body is able to think something,
and it thinks it, and I mean just everything. The brain goes
through all the nervous system, and it just tells everything
in just every fluid motion. It just, not only does it tell
my mouth what to do and my eyes what to do, but it tells my hand
how to gesture, and it's just moving so fast. It's just, it's
a natural body. but it's going to be raised a
spiritual body. Not a spirit. He didn't say a spirit, but raised
a spiritual body. One that is suited. I looked
it up. I said, what do you mean spiritual
body? One that is suited to a heavenly
environment. A spiritual body. That's what
it means. One that is suited. There's a natural body, the Scripture
says, A natural body, you have a body that is absolutely suited
to this earth. What does it take to live in
this earth? Well, I've got to have air, I've got to have water,
I've got to have food, I've got to have clothing, I've got to,
you know, you have a body that is suited for the environment
in which we live. There is a natural body, and
Paul says there's a spiritual body. There's one that will be
forever sustained in a manner that is completely opposite to
the natural body, a body whose life is from him who is the quickening
spirit, natural, spiritual. Now, I've told you everything
that I know about the redemption of the body. It is completely
opposite of what we can realize or perceive. It's a body. It's
a spiritual body, a body that absolutely ascended for the environment. It won't decay, live forever. It'd be a body just like His
body. You say, what kind is that? It's like His. It's like His. Just exactly opposite of what
I've got now. And a believer, back in Romans
8, verse 23, they wait, they expect for the adoption, the
open manifestation to which the redemption of our body, the change,
the metamorphosis. Paul says in verse 24, we're
saved by hope. But hope that is seen is not
hope. For what a man seeth, why doth
he get hope for? We are saved by hope. Hope here is a word that actually means
the object of or the actual promise of. Now, what do you mean? What
are you saying? You know, well, you know, in a sense we could
think and try to join in our mind and say and ask this question. What's the difference between
faith and hope? Well, obviously, they're not
the same thing. You say, well, I kind of thought
they were. Well, I can understand that. I can kind of see how you
could think that, because I could think that, except for the fact
1 Corinthians 13, 13 says, Now abide of faith, hope, and charity. These three, but the greatest
of these is charity. So obviously there's a difference
in faith and hope, because they all abide. Faith and hope. Paul
says in verse 24, we're saved by hope. What's the difference in faith
and hope? Well, faith is now. Faith is what a believer possesses
right now. Faith is here. Faith is present. Faith. This is what we have. We live in this world. We're
alive. God Almighty has quickened us
by His power and grace and mercy and has bestowed a grace, a grace
from Him, a gift, and it's called faith. And it is by faith that we believe
God. That's how we believe. That's
a mysterious thing. But it's real. Faith is something
that is real because it is possessed by God's people. Faith. It's how they understand and
perceive the promise of God. It's how they perceive God. Faith. So faith is something that we
have now. Hope is the actual fulfillment
of that promise. Hope is future. Let me show you
that. Turn to Hebrews 6. Hebrews 6.
Hebrews 6.17. Hebrews 6.17. wherein God, willing more abundantly
to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel,
confirmed it by an oath, by two immutable things in which it
was impossible for God to lie. We might have a strong consolation
who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before
us. hope. We lay hold upon, by faith,
the hope that's set before us, Christ, the object of our faith. So when we are said here in verse
24 of Romans 8, we're saved by hope. We're saying that we are
saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Scott said this, and
I wrote it down. If you'd like a copy of it, I
wrote it, or had Linda transcribe it. I got it. He made a statement
last Sunday morning. And I'm telling you, when he
said this, he said, Faith is not Christ. And he said a lot
of other things too. That's one thing I remember he
just said. Faith is not Christ. Faith lays hold of Christ. We're not saved by faith. We're
saved by Christ. Faith believes Christ. Faith looks to Christ. Christ
is our hope. Christ is the fulfillment of
that of which we've grasped hold of. Paul says in verse 24, we
are saved by hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. Why, if a man seeth, why does
he yet hope for? Let me show you. Turn to Colossians
1, 3. Colossians 1, 3. Let me show
you that hope is future. Colossians 1, 3. We give thanks to God and the
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since
we heard of your faith, in Christ Jesus and of the love which you
have to all the saints for the hopes which is laid up for you
in heaven whereof you heard before in the word the truth of the
gospel." The hope is laid up for you. So there's a difference
in faith and hope. Faith is present. Without faith
it's impossible to please God. How is it without faith that
it is impossible to please God? What pleases God? He said, This is my beloved Son,
whom I am well pleased. Hear ye Him. I'm going to hear.
I'm going to hear. How am I going to hear? How am
I going to hear unless He gives me the ear of faith? How am I
going to hear unless He gives me the eye of faith? Faith! It's impossible to please God.
Do all that a man can do. I go please God, not without
faith. And it's a gift of God. It's
given unto you to believe. What pleases God? Believe His
Son. Trust His Son. Look to His Son. Faith. Faith is now. Faith is now. We are saved by
hope. that is seen is not hope. For what a man seeeth, why does
he yet hope for? But," verse 25, "'if we hope
for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for
it.'" Patience. Oh, that divinely given grace
whereby we're kept while we wait and expect for the object of
our faith, Christ who is our hope. Christ who is our life. Salvation of whom He is. Resurrection of whom He is. That's what he told Martha. Martha
said, I know my brother is going to rise again in the resurrection.
He said, Martha, I am the resurrection. I am the life. I am the peace. No man comes to the Father but
my... I am. That's what God said. Who
shall I say Moses sent me? He said, I am sent you. I am. I am what? I am. I am whatever
your mind can think or can't think concerning life. That's who He is. In the midst
of trials, tribulation, faith believes. Right now, during this
period, this life on this earth, faith, by faith, we believe that
the accomplishment of God's purpose and will to show mercy is so. Look into our hope. That's what
Peter said in 1 Peter 1, 9, receiving the end of your faith, even the
salvation to your souls. Faith. In the same manner that
Almighty God gives us patience. Faith believes that we're going
to receive the object of our faith. Christ. Our hope. And when we leave this
earth, I'll tell you something else that's encouraging. Job
says, With these eyes, I'm going to see Him. Eyes. There's going to be a change,
a body, a real body, a spiritual body. In this body, by these
eyes, I'm going to look upon Him. My eyes shall behold Him. Verse 26, Likewise the Spirit
also helpeth thy infirmities. how we do. I mean, a believer
sits here and listens to all this right here, and he thinks
to himself, oh, these things are too high. These things are
too high for me. This is too glorious for me.
I mean, I can understand how some people can maybe attain
a higher walk, you know, a deeper life, you know. But, oh, for
me, I see myself struggling. You know, oh listen, let me tell
you something. Those of you that you think have
reached a higher plane, a deeper walk, I honestly believe the
older a man or a woman gets in this life numerically, the more
they see of the frailty of their flesh and the more they realize
their need of Him. Oh, likewise the Spirit also
helpeth our infirmities continually, perpetually. Remember, any time
you see E-T-H on the end of a word right there, it means it's a
progressive present. It just don't stop. He helpeth,
continually helpeth. He's constantly helping. He helpeth
our infirmities because we're frail creatures and know it. God's people know it. They realize
it. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Scripture
reveals by the Spirit of God, bears our infirmities with us. It's Christ Himself by His Spirit. The Spirit also helpeth Our infirmities,
I'll tell you how He does in just a second here, the latter
part of this verse. The Scripture in the word set
forth right here, the word helpeth, actually means to take part in. Actually takes part in. Actually
aids in the burden of. Now you say, are you saying that
the Spirit of God is actually participating in? That's exactly
what the word helpeth means. It means to actually take part
in the burden. You say, how can that be? I don't
know. I don't know. How is it that
the Spirit of God actually enters into The bearing of the burdens
of God's people. Thanks be to God, he does. It
was in the wise counsel of Almighty God that his Holy Spirit be given. The seal of the Holy Spirit himself. The first fruits of the Spirit.
The Spirit of God. Christ in you. If the Spirit
be in you, if the Spirit lead you, He helpeth. The Scripture says in Hebrews
4.15, in the actual bearing of these actual infirmities, the
association with, the knowledge of, Speaking of Christ, it says,
"...for we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with
the feelings of our infirmities, but within all points tempted
like as we are, yet without sin." Listen, He is not disassociated
with how we feel in all infirmities. You see, even in the feelings
of our unbelief, especially in the feelings of our unbelief,
does it grieve a believer? that he doesn't believe God.
Yes, it does. But he helpeth, bears with us. And oh, how thankful I am because
I'm going to tell you something. If all the bearing up was left
to me, I'd be in a world of hurt. If it was all left up to me to
bear up under the feelings of my infirmities and the burdens
and the strains and the stresses I can't bear that. What am I
going to do?" Because of the presence of sin,
being plagued with the presence of our infirmities and the lack
of ability to understand the things of God, or to restrain
my old desires and old natures. In other words, to come to the
point to realize that I'm a helpless sinner In this life right here,
right now, because of the presence of sin, he helpeth us. Helpeth. Now, we're passing through
this present world, possessing the weakness, the infirmities,
Though the guilt of it has been put away in thanks be unto God,
that's a comfort to me. I'm in a life right now and I'm
thinking by faith that there's going to come a time when the
Scripture reveals that this body of corruption is going to put
on incorruption. I think that's a good hope. That's
a comfort. That's a good hope. By faith,
I can see Him. I can see Him. You say, what
does He look like? Him. My heart. I'm trying to construct a visual
of Him. But I know Him. And while I've
got a good hope, old flesh says, but you don't want to die. You
don't want to leave this world. You don't want to, you know,
and I think, no, maybe I don't. And the old new man says, yeah,
you do. Yeah, you do. Yeah, you do. And you struggle
and you bear up and he helps. Lord, but I'm weak and I, but
he bears us up, helping us, being our strength. He is our strength. Jeremiah 69. Verse 19 says, Oh
Lord, my strength and my fortress and my refuge in the day of affliction. What day? Right now. This is
the day of affliction for me. But what about yesterday? Yesterday's
gone. I can't change yesterday. And tomorrow never gets here.
Today is my affliction. He helpeth us. How does He helpeth
us? our infirmities. Now, here's
some comfort. Here's some comfort, I believe,
for you. How does He help us, our infirmities? What is the greatest help that
I need? What do I need right now? I'm in a carnal world. I'm in
a corrected body. He's given me faith to believe
my hope that's future. What do I need right now? He helpeth our infirmities. What is the only need that I
have right now? I'm talking about spiritually
speaking. He helpeth us by teaching us
and bringing all things concerning Christ as He's revealed in this
book back to my mind. That's all the help I need. You say, well, don't you need
help? I'm going to die. Don't you need
food?" Yeah, as long as he thinks it necessary. But what is the
continual help that I need? I need to be reminded of Him.
I need to be reminded that He will never leave me. He'll never forsake me. Help
me by reminding me what He's done for me. Help my infirmity. When I see everything around
me corrupted, remind me of that which is so." Future. Eternal. Helpeth our infirmities. He says, He helpeth our infirmities. Why? For we know not what we
should pray for as we are. What am I going to ask for? If
you leave it to me, what am I going to ask for? I'm going to ask
for everything that is fading. I'm going to ask for everything
that's temporal. I need to eat today, drink today,
clothe today, this today, money today, house today. I need this. I need health. I need this. One
of these days, none of that's going to matter. And then what do I need? I need
Him. He helped us, our infirmities.
Why? Because we don't know what to pray for. I don't know what
to ask for. You're sick. You think you ought to ask the
Lord to make you well? I know this, that all things
work together for good to them that love God, who are called
according to His purpose. And I don't know if it's the
Lord's will that God has purposed that I be sick in order that...
What did He ask for? I don't know. I have no idea
what to ask for. I have none. He'll help us, I
affirm it to you, because we don't know what to pray. But
the Spirit itself, maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot
be uttered." Because we're ignorant of our
true need and we don't know what's best. The Spirit maketh intercession
for us with groanings that cannot be
uttered. Let me tell you, first of all,
that the groanings here that cannot be uttered is not the
Spirit groaning. We groan. We groan. Our groanings cannot be uttered.
Listen to Paul's writing, 2 Corinthians 9.15. Thanks be unto God for
his unspeakable gift. Indescribable. Let me ask you
something, you that believe. Can you articulate a word Articulate
a word to me that will perfectly describe what God's done for
you. And go ahead and when you articulate
it, make sure it's a word that I perfectly understand what God's
done for you. You said I can't. I know you
can't. It's an unspeakable gift. You
cannot express Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12, 3 and 4, I knew such a man
whether in the body or out of the body, I cannot tell. God
knoweth how that he was caught up into paradise and heard unspeakable
words. Inexpressible. Inexpressible. How do you express? Paul said
they were inexpressible. Which is not lawful for a man
to utter. That means not permitted. Not
permitted. Almighty God did not permit Paul
to articulate what he heard. What he saw was set forth
in the writings through the rest of the Scriptures. But what he
heard and what he saw, he said, I couldn't express it. I couldn't
express it. I heard an illustration yesterday
that I thought was very good. Those of you that have dogs will
understand. You got a dog and your dog is in his own little
world. You feed him. He's in his pen. That's his world right there.
That's everything he knows about his world. If for one day that
dog could become a man and could come out of that pen sit down
with you and you took him over to the finest restaurant in Morgantown
and he didn't eat dog food. You sat down and you bought him
the best filet mignon and he came out and they laid out a
spread there and the silverware and the dishes and he brought
that steak and he was able to take his paws, and somehow he
could grab that fork and knife, and he could cut it, and he tasted
that filet, and he sat there and talked with you back and
forth. And y'all talked about, you know,
things that dogs don't even have any idea of. Nothing didn't have
any idea of what he was talking about just previously. And he
understood. He understood what you were saying.
He talked about it, and the next day he went back, and he was
a dog again. And the rest of the dogs said,
Okay. Tell me about it. Tell me everything
that you perceived. He said you wouldn't get it.
You wouldn't. Inexpressible. I don't have the
ability to express to you. It's unspeakable. They do things
and talk about things that you and I never thought about. We're
in a world all of our own. The Spirit helpeth us, causes
and brings back to our memory. Helping us by making intercession
for us with groanings because we groan and I can't tell you. 1 Peter 1.8 says, in whom having
not seen, you love. In whom, though now you see him
not, yet believe it, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full
of glory." How many here have ever seen the Lord Jesus Christ?
None. How do you know He's real? He
lives in my heart. He's revealed Himself to me,
spoken to me through His Word. Have you ever heard Him? Sure
have. By faith. How do you hear by faith? I can't
tell you. How do you see Him by faith? I can't tell you. But
I can tell you this, He helps my infirmities. How does He help? He brings back to my memory things
that are so. We've grown. He helps us, making
intercession for us. But there's something that I
want us to look at. before we leave this verse of
Scripture. And we'll look at this one thing
for a minute and we'll start wrapping it up. The Scripture says that the Spirit
of God maketh intercession for us. Now, this word for is better interpreted
and will give a better understanding by understanding that it's the
word toward. We are frail creatures. And the Scripture reveals that
there's intercession being made. Now, this intercession that's
being made is toward the saints. You see, the Lord Jesus Christ
and the ministry of intercession before the Father. That is the
sole right of our great high priest. Isaiah 53, 12 says, He was numbered
with the transgressors and bared the sins of many and made intercession
for the transgressors. It is Christ himself He is, by
His blood, by His sacrifice, He is our intercessor. Who is He that condemneth? It's
Christ that died, yea, rather that is risen again, who is even
at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for
us. So, the intercession that's being spoken of right here is
not from us to God. Toward. What does it mean when the Spirit
itself maketh intercession toward us? How? What is that? He takes the things of God and intercedes from God to us. That's how he helpeth our infirmities. I need to hear from God. I'm
weak. I'm frail. But He's everlastingly
loved me. He chose me and His Son. His
Son came into this world and was made sin for me. If I believe
that, I believe that He will not withhold any good thing. What do I need right now? I need
to hear from Him. I need a fresh Word from God. I need to hear from the throne
of God Himself. How can I hear? The Lord Jesus said, John 14,
26, "...but the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father
will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring
all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you."
That's the greatest Word That's the greatest comfort. That's
the greatest joy that I could possibly have. How can you help? When I'm sick, when I'm not sick,
when I seem to have some money and when it's tight, what do
I need? I need to hear from my Father.
I need a word from God. I need some help. And you know,
in that moment, While I groan with groanings that can't be
uttered, because I don't know what to ask for. I don't know
what to pray for. The Spirit itself maketh intercession toward
us, helping, teaching. Howbeit, when the Spirit of truth
is come, he'll guide you into all truth. He shall not speak
of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak,
and he'll show you things to come. I can settle down. How are things with you? Okay. Well, what do you think about
this life? Tough. It's tough. Everything going well, huh? Yeah,
and him. Yeah. Verse 27, here we'll stop. He
that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the
will of God. He that searches the hearts,
who Almighty God, Jeremiah 17.10, I the Lord search the heart.
I penetrate. I examine. I know. I try to arrange
the mind even to give to every man according to his ways, according
to the fruit of his doings. He that knoweth what is the mind
of the Spirit, he that regardeth That's what it means. He that
knoweth, he that perceiveth, he that searches the hearts knoweth
what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession
for the saints according to the will of God. The Spirit of God,
who effectually calls, quickens, God's elect, he teaches them. the things of God. He leads them,
puts them wherever God's pleased to put them. He bears them up
just exactly where He put them. Everything that comes their way,
He sent it. He caused them to be there. Helps their infirmities. Why?
Because they don't know what to pray for. All the while, won't
leave them to themselves. Teaching them. of their continual
need of Christ and of the supply of His grace and mercy. I pray
this has been an encouragement to you. I pray it's been a help
to you. It's been to me. All right, Gary,
why don't you come lead us?
