15 minute radio message.

Christ is all and in all!
Since Christ is all, everyone else is nothing at all.
Since in Christ is all the treasures of wisdom and knowlege; he who knows not Christ knows nothing at all.
Since in Christ are all unsearchable riches; he who has not Christ, no matter what he may have, really has nothing at all.
Since Christ is all . . . whoever, whatever is nothing at all. But whosoever knows Christ, has Christ; has everything.

Seeking a message from God's
Word for you, I asked the Lord, Lord, what shall I preach? And
the clear answer came to my mind and my heart, not an audible
voice, but the Word of God from 2 Timothy 4, verse 2, in which
Paul told a young preacher named Timothy. He said, preach the
Word. preach the Word. A message from
God is always from God's Word. And yet it is not just preaching
or teaching the Bible. Most say they do that, but it
is declaring the truth, the message of God's Word. What is the message
of God's Word? There's a general message of
God's Word, a theme that runs throughout the book, God's Bible.
Well, here it is. It's found in Colossians 3, in
three words. Colossians 3, Paul says in the
last line of verse 11, Christ is all. Christ is all. God Almighty wrote a book, and
it's all about His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Scripture says
so. The Bible says so. It says, to
Him, that is, Christ, give all the prophets witness." That's
the Old Testament. Christ said so. He said of the
scriptures, they are they which testify of me. Not only the Word
of God, but all creation bears witness of Jesus Christ. The
Son is a picture, a type, a symbol of the Son of Righteousness.
Christ, the Light, the Life. The clouds are the dust of His
feet. The thunder, it thundered often in Scriptures and one time
it was God's voice saying, this is my beloved Son in whom I am
well pleased here Him. The trees represent Him who is
the tree of life. Yes, Christ is all, and in all,
it says, in all Scripture, in all of His people. Once Christ
preached to the disciples on a road to a town called Emmaus
in Luke chapter 24. And it says, beginning at the
book of Moses, that's the first five books of the Bible, in the
prophets and the Psalms, that's the whole Bible, It says, "...he
expounded unto them the things concerning himself." That's the
whole Bible, because it all concerns Jesus Christ, God's Son, and
Him crucified. In Genesis, there are many types
throughout the Old Testament. Types, pictures, shadows, symbols,
emblems, people and things, places, that all represent the Lord Jesus
Christ. God wrote this book to picture,
to symbolize, to tell of His Son. The Old Testament says someone
is coming. The whole book says someone is
coming, the Christ, the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh,
the Redeemer of His people. The Gospels say He's here. of
whom Moses wrote, he's here, of whom the prophets bore witness,
he's here, of whom David is a type in the Psalms, Christ is all. And the epistles and the revelation,
the theme of those are, he's coming back, he's coming back.
This is truly, the Bible is truly a hymn book, H-I-M, a hymn book,
Christ is all. In Genesis, Christ is the Creator. He's the light of the world.
He's the woman's seed. In Exodus, He's the Passover
lamb. In Leviticus, He's the great
atonement. In Numbers, He's the brazen serpent. In Deuteronomy, He's the city
of refuge. In Joshua, He's Rahab's scarlet
lion in the window. He is Joshua. In Judges, He's
the angel of the Lord. In Ruth, he's the kinsman redeemer. That book is all about Boaz,
not Ruth, but Boaz, the kinsman redeemer who represents the Lord
Jesus Christ. In Samuel, he's covenant mercy. He's the covenant head. In Kings,
he's the greater than Solomon. In Chronicles, he's the one who
brings back the ark. In Ezra, he's the defender of
the law. In Nehemiah, he's the great restorer. In Esther, he's the provider,
the representative of his people. In Job, he's the giver and the
taker. He's the redeemer who liveth, Job's redeemer. In Psalms,
he's the shepherd and so much more. In Proverbs, he is wisdom,
wisdom personified. In Ecclesiastes, he's true satisfaction
in life. Song of Solomon, he's the bridegroom. Isaiah, he's the great substitute. Jeremiah, he's the great physician.
Lamentations, he's the man, the sufferer. In Ezekiel, he's the
glory of the Lord. In Daniel, he's the beloved.
In Hosea, he's the forgiver. In Joel, he's the Holy Spirit.
In Amos, he's the standard. In Obadiah, he's the deliverer.
In Jonah, oh, he's the sovereign savior. In Micah, he's Bethlehem's
infant. In Nahum, he's the comforter.
In Habakkuk, he's my strength. In Zephaniah, he's the mighty
one. In Haggai, he's the desire of all nations. In Zechariah,
he's the foundation and the headstone. He is Zerubbabel. In Malachi,
he's the messenger of God. He's the Lord who came to his
temple. Yes, Christ is all. Christ is all, and in all. In
all the purpose and will of God. The whole purpose and will of
God is Christ. In all the creation of God. He
made it. He created all things for His
glory. By Him and for His glory they
were created. The glory of His Son. He is in
all the fullness of God. The fullness of God, it pleased
God that in Christ all fullness should dwell. In all the Word
of God, He is all the wisdom of God, the knowledge of God.
He is all the salvation of God. He is all the promises of God.
They're all in Him. They're yea and nay and certain
in Christ. He's all the blessings of God.
He has all preeminence. He's in all His people. He's
in everything and everyone concerning God's kingdom. Christ is the
sum and the substance of this book. He's the reason and the
purpose of the creation of the world and the universe. Now,
since Christ is all, Christ is all. That means everyone is nothing
at all, really, except when they're in Him. Since Christ is all,
all the wisdom of God, all the knowledge of God, those who know
not Christ know nothing at all. Scripture says so. Hath not God
made foolish the wisdom of this world? The fool hath said no
God. Those who do not know Christ,
who is wisdom, are fools. Since Christ is all the treasures,
the blessings of God, the riches, the unsearchable riches of God,
those who have not Christ have nothing at all. They may be rich
in this world, yet they're very poor. As someone said of someone
who was very rich in this world's goods, they said, that person
is so poor, all they have is money. Christ is all. He's all the purpose of God.
He is all the purpose of God. In Ephesians 1, it says that
God has made known unto His people the mystery of His will according
to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in
the dispensation of the fullness of time, that is when it's all
over, He's going to gather together in one all things in Christ,
both in heaven and which are on earth, in Christ, to the praise
of His glory. He's all the purpose of God.
He's all the will of God. The creation, as I said, exists,
was created for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians
1 says this, it says, by Him were all things created in heaven
and earth, visible, Invisible, thrones, dominions, principalities,
powers, all things created by Him and for Him. And He is before
all things, and by Him all things consist. Yes, Christ is all. He's all the fullness of God.
Colossians 1.19 says, "...it pleased the Father that in Him
Christ should all fullness dwell." The fullness of the Godhead.
in a body, in a man. Sovereignty, all power. Christ
said, that all power is given unto me in heaven and earth.
He said, as thou hast given him power over all flesh, the elements,
animals, devils, and men were subject to the Lord's commands
while on this earth, and still are. For he reigns and rules.
His government, there is no end. All the Godhead is in Christ.
He said, He that hath seen me hath seen the Father. He's the
Son, the Begotten, yet the Father. He's the Spirit. He said, I am
with you always. All the character of God, all
the power of God, the essence of God. He's omniscient, all-knowing. He's omnipresent, omnipotent,
all-powerful. He watched over His disciples
while He was away from them, yet He was with them, had His
eye on them. He's God. He is holy as God. He is just. He is righteous.
He is all the goodness of God. When God told Moses, I'm going
to declare the name of the Lord. I'm going to make my goodness
pass before you. I'm going to declare the Lord,
the Lord God, the Lord God, merciful, gracious, full of compassion. This is the Lord Jesus Christ,
all the fullness of God in a man. All the love of God, all the
mercy of God, all the kindness of God, the patience, the long-suffering,
all the grace of God is in Jesus Christ. Christ is all. He is
all the Word of God, in the Word of God, the revealed mind of
God, the thoughts of God. He is even called the Word. the Word. He's the revealed heart,
mind, will, and purpose. He is the Word of God. All prophecies speak of Him.
All types, all symbols, all shadows, all emblems, all stories, all
persons, all places, all things. To Him they all give witness. Christ is all. In Him, Colossians
2 verse 3 says, are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. hidden from the wise and prudent,
yet revealed unto babes, those born of God, by His Spirit, by
His Word, begotten by His Word. He is all the wisdom of God.
Proverbs 1 verse 7 says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning
of wisdom. must fear the Lord Jesus Christ.
All do who know Him. Proverbs 8, the whole book is
about Christ who is wisdom. Christ is all. He's all the salvation
of God. He's wisdom. He's righteousness. He's sanctification. He's holiness. He's redemption. He is the Redeemer. He is the price. He is the high
priest. He is the sacrifice. He is the
tabernacle. He is all the furniture in the
tabernacle, in the temple. He is acceptance with God. He
is forgiveness with God. Christ is all. He's all the promises
of God. Scripture says they're given
to God's people exceeding precious promises. What promises? All the promises of God are in
Christ Jesus to all that are in Him, to all that believe Him,
to all that come to God by Him. And they're yea and amen to the
glory of God by us, God's people. He's all the peace of God, all
the joy, all the comfort. He is the kingdom of God. All
the blessings of God, the blessings of pardon, of inheritance, peace,
Righteousness, they're all found in Jesus Christ. He is all the
preeminence. He has all the preeminence. God
says, let all the angels worship Him. Let everything that hath
breath worship the Lord Jesus Christ. All worship, all praise
from angels, men, and even devils must bow down before the Lord
Jesus Christ. Yea, everything that hath breath.
Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He's Lord
to the glory of the Father. And He's in all His people. God's
true people are married to Him. He's in their heart. He's in
their mind. He's their source of joy and peace. He is their
worship. He's their song. He's their conversation. He's all and in all. Do you know
the Lord Jesus Christ? He is all. Amen.
