Let's go to the book of Revelation. Revelation chapter one. I can't think of anybody that
is more interested and more looking forward to and day by day it
gets increasingly more looking forward to Christ at his second
coming. I just got so I hardly ever watch
the news. It's so, well, you know what
it's like. I just hardly ever watch it.
And I read the high school section because I can usually find some
kids I know. I don't read the newspaper very much. I am the
least informed person you probably know. But I am looking forward to Christ
at his second coming. I am anticipating. I am delightfully
anticipating. It's not a dentist trip. I'm
delightfully anticipating. And would you turn with me to,
keeping your finger here in the book of Revelation, to the book
of 2 Peter chapter 3. I don't believe there were any
saints at the time with the writings of the New Testament that were
not anticipating with great joy the coming of the Lord Jesus
the second time. Some of them had thought, and
we know in error now, but they had thought Christ would be coming
back much sooner than he has. They anticipated he would be
coming back in their lifetime. And that's recorded in the Word.
Some faith had been overthrown. I was in preparation for this
study of the book of Revelation. I was reading a book that had
to do with a number of people who had made predicted dates
of the coming of the Lord and based on all sorts of I mean,
some of the least logical things I've ever heard of. And some faith has been overthrown
as a result of it not coming back. And yet, I've yet to find
a record where anybody ever admitted they were wrong. Whole religions
have started over this, and they've said, well, he didn't come back
literally. He came back spiritually. And
on and on and on and on it goes. Hundreds and hundreds of predictions
have been made. And during the time of the Lord
Jesus, and just after, and during the 2,000 years since then, the
people of God, I am convinced, the people of God, have been
looking for Christ at his second coming and set aside all the
predictions about what's going to lead up to it. That's what the church is doing
today. I'm not looking for predictions.
I'm not looking for signs. I'm looking for Christ at his
second coming. And I don't think we have Very
many signs. Wars and rumors of wars. That's ongoing. Everywhere. There's just all kinds of those
things. And people say earthquakes in diverse places. Most people
are thankful that they are spread out and not just one place. And there are all kinds of earthquakes.
And I'm not sure that that's the kind it's talking about.
But notice with me here in 2 Peter chapter 3, 2 Peter chapter 3, and this is
by way of introduction to our study tonight because there's
almost a hysteria. I would say there is a hysteria
in the religious world about signs. And when they get to studying
the book of Revelation, and they say, read that verse one, the
conclusion of verse one, which says, things which must shortly
come to pass, there's almost a license granted by those words
to go off on some tangent. And that's, I don't think that's
what he's talking about there, and we're gonna spend some time.
But notice with me, 2 Peter chapter three, verse 13. Nevertheless, we, according to
his promise, isn't that wonderful? I don't have to have any supposition.
I don't have to have any wonders. According to promise, look for
new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. I'm anticipating
that. I'm looking forward to that.
It doesn't take us very long in this world to find out we
don't have that here. We have it here, and the church
is there, but in the world. And then he goes on to say, wherefore,
beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent
that ye may be found of him in peace without spot and blameless,
and account that the long-suffering, why hasn't he come? Why didn't
he come in 1000? Why didn't he come in 500? Why
didn't he come during the times that many were looking for him
right there after his ascension? Why didn't he come in 1500? Why
didn't he come in 1800? Why didn't he come in 1900? I remember when I was in high
school, oh my, the TV and the radios were just covered with
predictions of the end. And I don't know who propagated
it, but some great religious leader did that. And it never
happened, and he never apologized. And in 1994, a guy in Florida
and California, he was flying back and forth. He made a great
prediction. He got on the Larry King show
and made these predictions. And it didn't happen, and he's
never apologized. Now, I know one reason that that
happened. There's a man down in California that heard that,
and he says, you know, I better get my house in order, and I
better get in a church. And he just happened to stumble
into Rescue Baptist Church and hear the gospel. But the guy never apologized.
Why didn't it happen then? Why hasn't it happened yet? This
is the answer. Here it is, right here. This
is the answer why he has not come back. Israel was created,
I heard this all night in 1948, and before 30 years were up,
the Lord will be back because this generation shall not pass
away until before, or the Lord will come back before this generation
passing. You know, all these figures and
things. Well, it came and went. Why hasn't he come back? On account that the long suffering
of our Lord is salvation, there was some of his sheep that were
not in the fold. And there's some left, or he'd
be back. That's the only reason. He's
not waiting for some signs. He's not waiting for some building
to take place. He's not waiting for anything.
He's waiting till the Holy Spirit, at the appropriate time, goes,
finds his lost sheep and converts them, regenerates them, brings
them to Christ, and when the last one who is written in the
Lamb's Book of Life is brought in, the end will come. So I don't need to look for signs.
Our responsibility is to preach the gospel, and somewhere, in
some time, that one is gonna be found, and this is gonna be
over, and we will have the culmination of, we look for a new heavens
and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. And we'll be in
his presence. We won't have to wonder if he
came back. We'll be in the air. All right, turn with me, if you
would, to 2 Thessalonians chapter one. Second Thessalonians chapter
one. These verses are so good and
God's people love them. They're anticipating. My great-grandmother
had a wall plaque that she gave to my grandmother, who gave it
to my mother, and I could have had it if I'd have wanted it,
but I didn't want it. Don't do anything that you wouldn't
want to be doing when the Lord came back. Don't say anything.
Is that our guide? For morality? Is we're afraid
that we might be doing something wrong when the Lord came back?
That's the wrong reason. That's not the reason. Oh, you know. It's frustrating at times, isn't
it, what religion is? Second Thessalonians, chapter
one. Paul and Silvanus and Timotheus unto the church of the Thessalonians
in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace unto you
and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We
are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is because
that your faith groweth exceedingly and the charity of every one
of you all toward each other aboundeth. That's a good letter. That would be good. Those Thessalonians
could be thankful that Paul is writing this letter so that we
can read about him. You know what they are? Safe
people. Grace people are gracious. We don't have to be forced to
be gracious. It's just a natural process that
God works out in us. We just kind of like each other.
And it isn't, oh, I gotta be nice to that person. It's, I
want to be nice to that person. All right, it goes on here. so
that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your
patience and faith and all your persecutions and tribulations
that you endure, which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment
of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God,
for which ye also suffer, seeing it as a righteous thing with
God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you. And
to you that are troubled, rest with us when the Lord Jesus shall
be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming
fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey
not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished
with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord
and from the glory of his power. when he shall come to be glorified
in his saints and be admired of them, excuse me, to be admired
in all them that believe because our testimony among you was believed
in that day. Wherefore also we pray always
for you that our God should count you worthy of this calling and
fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness work of faith
with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be
glorified in you and ye in him according to the grace of our
God and Lord Jesus Christ. Now notice that where it says
in verse 10, when he shall come to be glorified in his saints
and to be admired in all them that believe. Now that's going to be a good
day. I admire him now. I will admire him then. I admire
his word now. I admire his teachings and doctrines. I admire his presence. But then
face to face. Now, go with me back to the book
of Revelation. I know you have your finger there.
Book of Revelation. the revelation of Jesus Christ. The greatest events, the event
that we look forward to is Christ coming again. Christ coming the
second time. Not looking for events, but looking
for Christ. Knowing that when he comes back,
not one seat will be empty in heaven. That all the chairs,
if you please, with their names on the back will be filled with
the people who belong there. Not one empty chair. Nothing
will be void or empty. He will have claimed all his.
In fact, the fulfillment of his word will be, I have lost none
of them. They will be present. Now that
will be a rejoicing time. Now here in the book of Revelation,
we've looked at the very first verse here and saw that this
book is a revelation of Jesus Christ. And it goes on to say
in verse one, the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave
unto him to show unto his servants things which must shortly come
to pass. And he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant,
John. who bear record of the word of
God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ and of all things that
he saw." Now, that verse that we just read, there is a phrase
in it that has become the theme song of the religious world,
and that is, the things which must shortly come to pass. Now,
we're going to quickly go through four or five chapters tonight
because I want us to notice that the things that must shortly
come to pass are not things per se, but they are the declaration
of Jesus Christ and how he presents himself in every age to all of
his people. The things that we're looking
for are not events. The things we are looking for
are aspects of the Lord Jesus Christ. And he is in the business
of revealing this about himself to his people Whether they are
in the fold or out of the fold, it's going to take the same truth
about the Lord Jesus Christ to bring them out of darkness or
to keep them in the light. There's not two gospels, one
for the lost and one for the saved. It is the message of Jesus
Christ that brings the lost sheep out of the woodwork, and it is
the message of Jesus Christ that keeps us pointed in the right
direction. Now look very quickly with me. We're short on time for what
we want to do tonight. We're short on time. I have 32
minutes. And I want to say some things
about this in the first five chapters of this book. Before
we go on, the things, we're not looking for events, we're not
looking for signs, we're not looking for those kinds of things
that we're so prone to think about. We don't want this hysteria
that's going on that we've been brought up in, and even those
learned doctors who have written the books have succumbed to.
We want to see Christ. That's my object in this study.
And I believe that's the object that the Lord Jesus Christ intended
when he gave this book. It was sent to seven churches
of Asia, but hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of churches have
got to read it since then. And it's not a changing book
for the times. It is a book that is the revelation
of Jesus Christ. Now notice in this chapter one,
John is on the Isle of Patmos and he's there because of preaching
Christ. He is persecuted. He has been
exiled. Can you imagine a preacher shut
up to himself on an island? The only thing he has to preach
to is writing notes and throwing it in a bottle. He is exiled. He is put on an island by himself,
the Isle of Patmos. He is being punished. And God,
the God of glory, reveals himself to him, comes to him, and it
says when he was in the spirit on the Lord's day. Now we could
say a few things about that, and we will in time, but there
is a celebration day, and that's the first day of the week. We
celebrate the resurrection every first day of the week. We don't
know when he raised from the tomb, what month, or which week
of the month. We have some ideas, but the church
has never been told to worship the one day. It has been, and
it hasn't even been commanded to worship on Sunday, but they
just get to. We delight in it. We rejoice
in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Old Testament, you
were made to go to the temple. You were made to go to the synagogue
on Saturday. Now, under the new economy, God's
people, I want to go. Families have been broken up
over this. I want to go to church. I want to go to the house of
God. I want to go worship people saying that that's a free day.
I mean You played golf on Saturday and it's a free day to Sunday.
I don't care. I just want to go to church I
need to be refreshed. All right, he's in the Lord's
in the spirit now notice verse 8 Revelation of Jesus Christ. I am Alpha and Omega the beginning
and the ending The one he had laid his head
on. The one that he had been called
the beloved disciple of speaks to him and shares with him this
wonderful truth about himself I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the ending. Verse 11, I am Alpha and Omega,
the first and the last. What is the things that must
shortly come to pass? The revelation of Jesus Christ.
The things about the Lord are revealed to us, have been revealed
to the church, have been revealed to saints from the very beginning. It has been a constant, ongoing
revelation of Jesus Christ to the pleasure of the Godhead and
for the glory of the recipients of the message. God has received
untold glory for revealing his Son to lost sheep. and then they rejoice in his
presence as their saved sheep, and the church has been glorified
and magnified and lifted up and picked up every time they've
heard the glorious message about the Lord Jesus Christ. When I
read that, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, I say
hallelujah. What a glorious thought about
the Lord Jesus Christ, that he's before all things and he'll be
the conclusion of all things. He's the beginning and the end,
and he's not a created being, but he is from end to end. He has known the end from the
beginning. What thou seest, write in a book
and send it into the seven churches which are in Asia. Now, some
commentators say there were seven, must be more than seven churches.
I don't care. But the message to those seven
churches is the revelation of Jesus Christ. Turn with me over
here. In verse 17, fear not, latter
part, I'm the first and the last. I'm he that liveth, verse 18,
and was dead, and behold, I'm alive forevermore. Boy, people
under persecution, people not in persecution, people just reading
the word, people who love God Almighty can rejoice in the very
fact that this one was alive. He's dead, but he's never gonna
die again. He's sitting at the right hand
of the Father making intercession for his people. There's never
a time that he's not alive now. But when he died, he laid down
his life, a ransom for many. He died for his sheep. He died
to put away all their sin. It was the most successful death
that's ever taken place. Now our death will be the fulfillment
of the day you eat, you shall die. His death was the fulfillment
in the day you die, you shall set my people free. Totally different. It is the capstone of the covenant
of grace. You lay down your life. You bear
sins as far as the east is from the west. You put your back up
instead of them. You put your face up instead
of them. I'll put my justice on you instead
of them. And then he rose from the dead
and he ever liveth, as it tells us here. I am alive forevermore. I have the keys of hell and death. I've been told all my life Satan
had those, but you know what the Bible says, the Lord God
Almighty has those. They're in his hands and all
that it means. He is in control of death and
hell. He has the keys. Don't give Satan
credit when he doesn't get it. The credit I give him is he's
just a servant of the Lord. That's what he is in the Bible. He's a created being, servant
of the Lord, and God has him on his leash. Now, he may look
like a chihuahua, and he may look like one of these pit bulls,
but he's still a servant of God. Now, write these things which
you've seen. The mystery of the seven churches,
there are seven stars, and then in chapter two, Under the church
of the Ephesus write, now this is the church that gets the letter
that we know as the book of Ephesians. And that's a good book. They
know some things there. They've heard some things there.
Now, these things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his
right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks.
the revelation of Jesus Christ. This is how he reveals himself
to this church at this time. I am he that holdeth the seven
stars. Now, drop down in verse 7 to
the angel of the church of Smyrna, write, these things saith the
first and the last which was dead and is alive. When he reveals
himself to these churches, not one time does he reveal himself
as he did to another church. And if we go back to chapter
one, we find the whole piece put together in one, and he breaks
it down and gives it to them and reveals himself to them in
an aspect. And when we look at them, we
can see the whole. They could see a part. We see
a whole. We see the completion. Now let's
just back up for one moment here. Chapter 1, verse 12. And I turned to see the voice
that spake to me. And being turned, I saw seven
golden candlesticks. And in the midst of the seven
candlesticks, now paint this. This is a picture of our Savior.
Go to the Song of Solomon. You can find almost the same
picture. I saw one, one like unto the Son of Man, clothed
with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with
a golden girdle. Talk about the things that must
shortly come to pass." The revelation of Jesus Christ. My goodness,
here is what God gave to John what John gave to the seven churches,
and what we get to hear, this is a word description of the
savior of his people. And there's not one bit about
it that is diminutive. Now, I have a sister yet that
calls me Normie. That's what I mean diminutive.
I like to be called Norm, If it's serious and it's a bill
collector, it's usually Norman, but my sister calls me Normie. We don't have any of that about
the Lord Jesus. No one is that familiar. He is my Lord. He's not my Lordy. He is my Lord and my Savior,
my King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now read with me. And his hairs were white like
wool, righteous to the nth degree. Eyes were as a flame of fire.
He searches the hearts of all men. He knows their thoughts. He knows our frame. Aren't you
glad he's hanging on to us? He knows us. He knows where we're
from. He knows what we are. He knows
we're weak and feeble creatures. And it is he that hangs on to
us. His feet like undefined brass. I never thought of this like
I did when we heard Brother Coffey at camp, when he was in that
burning, fiery furnace. Here his feet are like into fine
brass, cleansed. He's been in judgment for us
and came out successful, as if they were burned in a furnace,
and his voice as the sound of many waters. What's that mean?
When he calls, his people pay attention. Have you ever been around a real
big waterfall? I mean, it just drowns out everything
else. You can see people going, but you can't hear a word they
say. And when Paul, Saul of Tarsus, was on the road to Damascus,
there was a whole bunch of people with him, and they thought they
heard thunder. And he heard the mighty God speak
to him, voice of many waters. It drowned out everything else,
every, every, argument that he could come up with about his
righteousness before God was drowned out by the voice of many
waters. He could come upon his people
and thunder and no one hears it but us. It is a still small
voice that he calls his people out of darkness into light. And
it's a thunderous, still, small voice. Goes on to say here, and
he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went
a sharp, two-edged sword. You're holding it in your hand.
He has the word of God. The word of God. Sharp, two-edged
sword. It's piercing. It cuts. It cuts to heal. It cuts to judgment. It's going to be used to judge
those without Christ, and it's going to be used to welcome his
saints into glory. He goes on to tell us here, and
his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And
when I saw him, and I'm convinced that everyone that sees him gets
to do this spiritually. I fell at his feet
as dead. Hannah said, I'll kill you. That's
her prayer. The Lord said, I'll kill you
and make you alive. I think when we see him, we're
just brought down to death so that we could be raised to newness
of life. And then he goes on and he laid
his right hand upon me saying, fear not, I'm the first and the
last, the revelation of Jesus Christ. And as he goes through
these churches, let's just go over here. Verse 12 He says to
Pergamos the angel of the church at Pergamos and all There's only
a few that will comment and say this angel is a special created
being for that church It's the word angel means messenger messenger
and sometimes it's been interpreted in our mind as one of those critters
with a creatures with a wings and But I am absolutely convinced
that in this passage, that the angel, the messenger for these
churches, and that's the one that was addressed to, were the
pastors of those churches. Pastors. And he spoke to them
to speak to the church. He goes on and said, to Pergamos,
write, these things saith he that hath the sharp sword with
two edges. I know that works. He revealed
himself to that church in that manner. Verse 18, Thyatira, these
things saith the son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame
of fire and his feet like fine brass, I know thy works. And
then if we go over to the chapter three, verse one, these things
saith he that hath the seven spirits of God and the seven
stars, I know thy works, revelation of Jesus Christ, how he revealed
himself to Philadelphia, verse seven, these same things saith
he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David,
he that openeth and no man shutteth and shutteth that no man openeth.
Boy, look at that. That's just good stuff about
the Lord Jesus Christ. He closes doors no man can open,
he opens doors that no man can shut, and he does that in our
hearts. In verse 14, the angel of the
church of the Laodiceans, these things saith the amen, the faithful
and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God, things
that must shortly come to pass. We've just stumbled onto passage
after passage after passage that share with us the glories of
our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and how he revealed himself to
the various churches that were there. Chapter four. Verse two,
immediately I was in the spirit, and behold, a throne was set
in heaven, and one sat on the throne. Well, the latter part
of verse one, a lot of people that I've been around have stumbled
here. They've turned this into almost
a hysteria. All right, we saw what happened
on earth. Now we're going up to heaven,
because it says, I'll show you things that must be hereafter. And what do we get to see? The
Lord Jesus Christ. There's no end of it. The book
is full of it. The message of the Lord Jesus
Christ. Verse two, immediately I was in the spirit and behold
a throne was set in heaven and one set on the throne. And he
that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone. And there was a rainbow round
about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And round about
the throne were four and twenty seats, and upon the seats I saw
four and twenty elders, sitting clothed with white raiment, and
had on their heads crowns of gold, and out of the throne proceeding
lightnings and thunders and so forth. Here we're in heaven through
revelation of Jesus Christ. I want to see where he is, don't
you? I want to be lifted up where he is, don't you? I want to see
what he's doing, don't you? He's not far off. He is in heaven
making intercession for us. And then it tells us over here
in chapter 5, verse 3, no man in heaven or in earth, neither
under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look
thereon. And I wept much. Wouldn't you put in the same
situation? Here is a book. And you can't look into it. And
I want to know what's in that book. And my heart's just driving
me crazy. And John wept. Oh, my goodness. There's got to be nothing but
good in that book. But how are we going to see it? And notice
that. Just don't weep. Don't weep. Oh, there's the lion
of the tribe of Judah. He hath prevailed. Verse 5, one of the elders said
unto me, weep not. Behold, the Lion of the tribe
of Judah, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book,
and to loose the seven seals thereof. Now I'm telling you,
if the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lord Jesus Christ, has prevailed
to open this book, whatever comes out of it is for his glory and
our good. It is in a language that may
be difficult for some, for us, to understand all of it. But
if he's going to open up a book, and the line of the tribe of
Judah has prevailed, and he is opening that book, it's going
to open up and it's going to be for the good of the church
and for the glory of God. Whatever it says, sit down and
enjoy it. It is going to be good. It's
not going to be bad. It's going to be for our benefit
and for our wonder. We're just going to be wondering
at the wonder of God Almighty in Christ Jesus, complete and
total all the time. If we, well, I've said this and
I hear people say it too. I may not know what it's saying,
but I know what it's not saying. If it's not bringing glory to
God or pleasure to the church, then let's change our view about
it, because something's wrong. All right? Verse chapter 6, verse
1, I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals. The Lamb of God opened the seals. We can't. He can. He hath prevailed. He's the Lion
of the tribe of Judah. He's the offspring of David. He's almighty, all-powerful. He's God in the flesh. He is Immanuel, God with us. And when he opens his book, the
bedbugs will flee and the sheep will get in the trough. God will
scatter every dissenter. God will scatter all the bugs
and the riffraff to make room for his people to come and feast
upon him. We don't have any runts in the
church of the living God. Everybody gets food, and everybody
gets food that's for them. But the riffraff and the bedbugs
and all the lice will head for the dark. What's it says in the
book of John? Men love darkness rather than
light because their deeds are evil. Now our deeds are evil
too, but we've been enlightened or the revelation of Jesus Christ
has been given us. Now, we'll go down through here
in time and see all these seals opened up, but just keep in mind,
these are the things that must come to pass, the revelation
of Jesus Christ. The lamb is the one that's flipping
the seals. The lamb is opening these up
and the events that are taking place is for the glory of God
and for the glory of his church. And God's people will say, sick
him, God. Go after him. What did he tell
the Thessalonians? You're in a lot of terrible turmoil,
but you just wait. God will get every one of your
enemies and we'll sit down with him in glory. we'll call him
friend. All right? Now, let's go back
to the first verse there. The things which must shortly
come to pass. Let's not get into hysteria about
things. Let's just glory in the revelation
of Jesus Christ. Let's not worry about what's
taken place in Russia, whether they built a road down from the
Tigris Euphrates River. Let's not wonder if there's going
to be land bridge between Russia and the United States. Let's
not wonder if they're going to build a temple. Let's not wonder
if Israel is going to do some more of this. It's no mistake
that Alaska got all the gold and the Arabs got all the oil. Who planned it? We're a natural resource rich
nation, but God gave those Arabs all that oil for a reason, for
the glory of God and for the glory of his church. I hope I
never forget what Greg Elmquist told us up at camp a couple of
years ago. God is the one in charge. He's the director of the whole
world. And his children, found and lost,
they're the actors. And everything else is props. Everyone else is props. He moves them to move his people
so they'll be where he needs them. Every time. Not one time does he make a mistake.
He gave all that oil. Yesterday I came home, it's my
anniversary. Came home, I'm taking a shower
because I needed it. And I'm in that and every once
in a while I get down in the mulligrabs about my job and how
I lost it. And you know, the Lord came up
to me and he said, suppose that guy that got your job was moved
to the Dalles so he could hear the gospel from you. And I says,
oh, Lord, I think I'll just like my job. We just don't know, do
we? I think of those two kids that
were brought out of Russia by Lauren and Chris. That's for
a reason. 1,000, 100,000, millions of other babies are
going to be kept in orphanages there around the world, and two
little kids get brought out of there. They've heard more gospel
in their brief lifetime than probably most of the people in
Russia have in all their lifetime. So here's the glory of God revealed
in Jesus Christ, And he's flipping the seals, and he's opening them
up, and he knows what's going on, and he's in control of the
angels, and he's in control of the dragon, and he's in control,
and at the conclusion of every one, he whips them. And they're
overcome by the blood of the Lamb. And those people that are
under the throne saying, how long, how long? You know what?
God grant some mercy. And there's a whole bunch of
them are going to be beheaded. I used to worry about that because
that's not my desire. And here they are going to be
beheaded for the glory of the Lord. And it struck me. If you've
ever been saved, you've been beheaded. God's taken your old
head off and he's given you a new head, which is Christ. So every
child of God has lost their head and been given a new one. So
I said, all right, that was easier. The Lord is good. So don't get
too concerned. Don't get in hysteria about the
things which must shortly come to pass. Just look for Christ. He'll comfort your soul. He'll
comfort the soul of those who we talk to. That man who talked
to me today, I pray to God he comes. I pray he hears something. I just do. He told me where he's
been going all over town. I just pray to God he comes and
hears him and says, you know, I think I'll just sit here for
a while. I don't know. But this book, the Revelation
of Jesus Christ, the Apocalypse, a light to lighten the Gentiles
and for the glory of God. Well, I'm three minutes early,
but we'll pick this up.
