Open your Bibles with me to Psalm
146. And while you're turning, let me
mention that Kathleen's been back down at Vanderbilt. She
went down last Monday. And they're going to do lathroscopic
surgery on her in the morning. What they've been doing hasn't
been working. She's had a tube in her stomach, getting all that
stuff off of it. She's still throwing up, can't
get rid of the infection, so they're going to go in in the
morning and take out whatever dead tissues there, whatever's
infection there in her pancreas, and hopefully get her on to men.
She is one sick woman. She is one sick woman. And, of
course, Jan, she's not with us. She had some stuff taken off
her nose, and she's got a bunch of stitches in it. And I know
she'd love to be here, but she had her nose worked on, had some
things taken off of it. And they had to take a bunch
of stuff. So please remember her, Kathleen and her. You know, he gives me these,
James gives me these things. And this was off a church right
up here on Lantana Road. Flip or flop, the church. What in the world does that mean?
Flip or flop to church. What in the world could that
mean? Team spirit day. Following Jesus and loving the
journey. Team spirit day. Attitudes are contagious. Is
yours catchy? You can't make it up, can you?
Lost? Try GPS. Ah, boy. You just. I'm going to write a newspaper
article about that stuff. I need to save these things and
use them. Let's read this 146th Psalm together,
and then I'm going to bring just a few things from it. Praise
ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. While
I live will I praise the Lord. I will sing praises unto my God
while I have any being. Put not your trust in princes,
nor in the Son of Man, in whom there is no help. His breath
goeth forth. He returneth to his earth. In
that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God
of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God,
which made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that therein
is, which keepeth truth forever, which executeth judgment for
the oppressed, which giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looses
the prisoners. The Lord opened the eyes of the
blind. The Lord raises them that are bowed down. The Lord loveth
the righteous. The Lord preserveth the stranger.
He relieveth the fatherless and widow. but the way of the wicked
he turneth upside down. The Lord shall reign forever,
even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the Lord. Our Father, in the blessed name
of our Lord Jesus Christ, we do praise you. We praise you
that you're God of heaven and earth. That, Lord, the heavens
is your throne, the earth is your footstool, clouds are the
dust of your feet, and it is the red Sunday, Lord, that you
put all the stars in the heavens, and you call them all by name,
and you can count every one. Lord, who is a God like unto
thee? Got the power to raise the dead, got the power to save
sinners like ourselves and quicken us from our spiritual death,
make us new creatures, give us new heart, new spirit, new wills,
new desires. Oh Lord, you can take a man that
was so at enmity with you, slay that enmity and establish peace
in the heart to where they have this great assurance and comfort
knowing they accept it in the beloved. And Lord, we thank you
that you hear us pray, that you hear us when we call. And our
blessed Savior, we pray for Kathleen and her family. Lord, the boys
and Floyd, they're very concerned for and I know they're heavy
hearted and anxious. And Lord, I pray that you'd bless
them and Lord, help Kathleen. Lord, thank you for the doctors
making a decision and doing what's right. So Lord, bless them in
the morning. Give them the wisdom and may
this be the way. And under your blessed hand that
she is be made whole and be start to mend and be able to come home
and get her health back and get her strength back. We pray for
Jan, God, that her healing would come quickly. And I know it's
be with her to, in her heart to be with us Bless her, encourage
her, and strengthen her. Lord, meet with us tonight. Meet
with us tonight. We ask you to meet with us. Come
among us. For Christ's sake. Amen. Come
among us. Come among us. Now, I'm going to just deal with
these first five verses here in this psalm. These last five
psalms start out with the word, with the first line in the last
five Psalms is Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 147, 148, 149, 150,
every single one of them starts out with Praise ye the Lord. They all start out, and that
word Praise, if you look in your margin, it means Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And You and I know
that these words, praise the Lord and hallelujah, have become
meaningless, insincere by all the religious people around us.
They've become religious bywords. They'll all throw their hands
up and say, oh, praise the Lord. Or, oh, hallelujah. And everybody
starts singing hallelujah and lifting up their hands. And it's
become a very bad word. It's become something that is
made meaningless like the love of God has and the death of Christ
has and the love of Christ has. And the Bible has become meaningless
to most people. They don't even bother to preach
from it. They got a little book of sermon outlines and they take
their little sermon outlines and they get up and preach for
them. But I do know one thing about God's blessed sheep. They
don't want What they do not want to do is to take the Lord's name
in vain. When they say praise the Lord,
they mean praise the Lord. When they say we bless the Lord,
we mean we're giving praise to him and bless his holy name.
We don't want to take his name in vain. You keep Psalm 145 and
look in Ecclesiastes. Ecclesiastes right back to your
right. Ecclesiastes is right before
the book of Psalms, or book of Proverbs, excuse me. We look
in Ecclesiastes 5, what it says, you know, thou shalt not take
the name of the Lord thy God in vain. We don't want to use
the Lord's God, our Lord's name in vain. We don't want to use
it in a useless way, a vain way, just a repetitious way. And,
you know, whenever the Lord's name is mentioned, it ought to
be mentioned with reverence, with fear and praise and blessing. And certainly when you call on
him, you gotta call on him with reverence and confidence, knowing
that you're not accepted in yourself, you're accepted only in Christ.
And look what the wise man said, the preacher said. Chapter five,
verse one. Keep thy foot when thou goest
to the house of God, and be more ready to hear than to give the
sacrifice of fools. What's the sacrifice of a fool?
They're just always saying amen, hallelujah, praise the Lord,
lifting up their hands. And they don't even hear what's
being said. And they offer the sacrifice
for fools, for they consider not that they do evil. That they
do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth. Don't
be too quick to say things. Be very careful what you say
and let not that heart be hasty to utter anything before God. For God is in heaven and you're
upon the earth. Therefore, therefore let your
words be few. When we come to worship God and
we come into the presence of God, let your words be few. But now look back over here in
the 146th Psalm. Let's just look at this for a
minute and see what we can find out about it. First verse says
this, Praise ye the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul. Now what David is doing, he says,
Praise the Lord, praise ye the Lord, O my soul. He's talking
to himself. He's conversing with himself.
And he's talking to his soul. He's talking to himself and he
knows that God's hearing, but he says, O my soul, praise the
Lord, my soul. talking to himself. And I do
know this, that the true praise of the living God is not just
in lip service. It's from the heart, it's from
the soul. The blessings of God, the praise of God. Our Lord Jesus
Christ told the Pharisees, he said, oh well did Isaiah prophesy
you hypocrites. He said, you draw nigh unto me
with your mouth, with your lips. You got a lot to say about me,
and how close you are to me, and how dedicated you are, and
how devoted you are, and how spiritual you are, and how good
a person you are. But he says, you draw nigh unto
me with your lips, but I'm telling you, I know this, your heart,
your heart's far from me. And oh, beloved, our lips, and
I know this, our lips speak the true feelings of our hearts when
we're speaking to God. Oh, let us not speak at all before
the Lord. If we're not speaking from our
hearts in praying or praising or whatever we're doing, if we
can't speak from the true feelings of our hearts, let's not speak
at all before the Lord. And the Lord can and is praised
from the heart without a word being uttered. Do you know that?
Lots of people praise the Lord from their heart. And nobody
knows what's going on in their heart while they're praising
the Lord and blessing the Lord. Now, I can show you that. Look
with me over in 1 Samuel. 1 Samuel, chapter 1. Here's a
person that's just that way. And you remember what Paul said
about the... He says, the Spirit Himself said,
we know not how to pray, but the Spirit helps our infirmities.
For he knows the mind of God. We sometimes don't know how to
pray. All we can do is just praise the Lord. But look here and saw
verse Samuel 1 and verse 9. And only I owe my soul. That's
the highest part of us. Look at verse 9. So Hannah rose
up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now
Eli the priest sat upon a seat by the post of the temple of
the Lord. And she was in bitterness of
soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore. And she vowed
a vow, and said, Lord, Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look
on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget
thine handmaid, but will give unto thine handmaid a man child,
Then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life,
and there shall no razor come upon his head. And it came to
pass, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli marked
her mouth, started watching what she was doing, started watching
her, listening at her, see what's going on. Now Hannah, she spake
in her heart. Hannah spake in her heart. Only
her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. And oh, so Eli
come to this conclusion, therefore Eli thought that she had been
drunken. And Eli said unto her, how long
wilt thou be drunk and put away thy wine from thee? And Hannah
answered and said, no, my Lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor
strong drink, but have poured out my what? My soul, my soul
before the Lord. And she spake in her heart, spake
from her heart. And that's what I'm talking about
here. He said, Oh my soul, the highest part of it. And then
look what he said back here in verse two of Psalm 146. He said,
praise the Lord, oh my soul, praise the Lord, oh my soul.
He says, while I live, will I praise the Lord. While I live, I will
praise the Lord. Now beloved, we have good, good
reason to praise the Lord while we live. While we live. Because if we live, we live and
move and have our being because of Him. I live by His will and
I live by His good pleasure. And when my time is done, and
I'm telling you, you see, we have good reason to praise the
Lord while we're alive. While we yet live, it was by
His will and the pleasure of His will that we live. And He
gives us life and He sustains it. Paul told the people on Mars
hills, it's by Him we live and move and have our being. And
look what Job said over here. You keep Psalm 146 and just look
in Job 14. Look what Job said about it. Oh, we have the reason. Well, He gives us life and sustains
us. So while we live, we got good
reason to praise the Lord. Look what Job said in Job chapter
14 and verse 5. This is what God says about man.
Job 14, 5. Seeing his days are determined,
the number of his months are with thee. Thou hast appointed
his bounds that he cannot pass. Three things God says here about
a man. His days are determined. Every
single one of them is determined. The number of His months belong
to God. And thou hast appointed His bounds.
You've set a bound. for his time, for his life, and
everything that's going to happen in his life. God put a bound
around him, and he can't go past that bond. And when those bounds
are around us, when our days are done and his months are appointed
to us, we're going to our long home. And that's why he says,
while I live, I'm going to praise the Lord. I don't care what anybody
else does. He says, well, while I live,
I'm going to praise Him. And I know it's by His, and if
we have a greater reason to praise the Lord, if we live spiritually
If we have spiritual life, if He's raised us from the death
of our sins and quickened us from the death of our sins and
give us life from our death and death of sin that we were in,
says, Beloved, it's His will and in Christ that I'm born again.
John 1.12 says this, that to as many as received Him, to them
gave He the power to become the sons of God which were born.
not of blood, not the will of the flesh, not the will of man,
but of God, being born again, not of corruptible seed, but
incorruptible, and for us to have spiritual life, oh, to praise
Him and bless His holy name. And I know you all do this. I
know every single one of you do this, and you have done it.
And hopefully, by God's grace, you'll do it again. You'll be
out doing something, and all of a sudden, you know you'll
sit down and relax a little bit, and all of a sudden, you'll see
something beautiful, or something will happen, or you'll get some
news, and the first thing you say is, well, praise the Lord.
Bless His name. You know, it's just spontaneous.
We don't run around like people do that all the time. You know? And I tell you, being absolutely
dependent upon our God for this life. Absolutely dependent upon
Him for this life. We're absolutely dependent upon
Him for the life to come. And praise Him. And I know this,
those of us that know Him, we will be able to praise Him in
glory as it ought to be praised. Because David says this, I'll
be satisfied when I awaken thy likeness. And one of these days
we'll praise him like he's worthy to be praised, and we'll bless
him like he's worthy to be praised. Oh, listen, we'll have this to
deal with. And then look what else he says there in verse 2
of Psalm 146. Not only while I live will I
praise the Lord, I'll sing praises unto my God while I have any
being. I'm going to sing praises unto Him. We did that tonight.
Victory in Jesus. Tell me the story. Tell me the
old, old story. Victory in Him. Tell me the old,
old story. Tell me all about Him. Tell me
about His time in the desert. Tell me about Him on the cross.
Tell me about His labors. Sweetest words I ever heard.
Oh, Jesus, sweetest words I ever heard of that sweet, sweet story. And that's what we do. We sing
praises and songs that praises Him. But Davis says, I'm going
to sing praises unto my God. Watch what he says, while I have
any be. Now what does he mean while I
have any being? There's never going to be a time
he's going to be without being. He's just going to change geographical
locations. But he says while I have being,
he stretches, he leaves time now and he's going into eternity.
As long as I have any being, well as long as I have any existence
at all, I'm gonna praise the Lord. I'm gonna bless His name. I'm gonna sing praises unto Him.
And I tell you what, that's what He said here. He said, I'm going,
if I, as long as I have any being, and how many mercies do we need to sing praises about?
How many times has God saved us? How many times have we proved
and has He proved that His grace is indeed sufficient? How many
times has God been faithful to us when we've been unfaithful
to Him? How many times would He's blessed us when we come
so weak and weary that we almost want to stay home and we come
and we're so glad we come because we leave feeling so much better
than we did when we got here. And that's why David says, since
all the Lord's been all this to me, while I have any being,
while I have any being, I'm going to praise him. I'm going to praise
him. But look what he gives us here. He gives us a great and
a solemn warning here. Look what a great and solemn
warning he gives us in verses three and four. So, you know,
he's talking about praising God. He said, but now this, don't
do this. Praise the Lord while you have being. Praise the Lord
while you yet live. Sing praises unto him. Put not
your trust in princes, nor in the Son of Man, in whom there
is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth
to his earth, and that very day his thoughts perish. Now this
is a great warning. Put not your trust in princes.
You know what a prince is in the scriptures? It's a person
of great power and authority and wealth and position. And
oh my, we have these princes of this world. We have the mighty
men and the captains and we have the great politicians and they're
all making great promises right now. These are the mighty men
of the earth, the powerful men of the earth, the wealthy men
of the earth. And they all got something to
say. And they're all telling you that I can fix this situation,
I can change this, and I can change that, and I can change
something else. And you know what he's saying?
Don't you put no trust in single one of them. No matter how high they are in
their position, no matter what economic station they have in
life, no matter what religion they may have, There is in man,
there is no help. In man, there is no hope. In
man, there is no salvation. Now, I'm 65 years old. I came
back from Vietnam. I voted my first time. And I've
voted every time since. And you know what I found out?
That I'm living just like I always did. With all the promises. And here's our problem. Let me just help us out here,
because I know we get very discouraged and disgusted with what's going
on. If you love America, and you lived in a time when America
was just, you know, it was a wonderful time. But what it is now, we
have instant, just like that. Something happens, you hear it
just that quick. Used to, you'd have to wait for
a newspaper to get to you. Used to, you only had three people
you could watch on the news in the evening. And now something
happened halfway around the world, and they got a picture of it
up just like that. Somebody says something, you hear it that quick.
And so what you do, and I've went, when I was in Ireland for
two weeks, never watched television. Didn't see a television. You know what? I got home, turned
on the TV, and nothing had changed. So that's what Dave is saying
here. That's what Dave is saying. What's the prince gonna do for
you? Can he save your soul? Can he make you acceptable to
God? Huh? What help can he give you? In these spiritual matters, in
these things, in dealing with God, what good can He do? But
how many people find assurance in the word of a prince or somebody
who is supposed to be somebody, a visible man up here? And they
would rather take that man in his word or that prince or that
great person and personage and a visible man than they would
in the word and promises of the invisible God. One thing God's
never done to me, He's never, ever, ever told me nothing but
the truth. He's never not kept one promise
to me. He's never not heard me when
I cry. He's never not failed to enable
me to stand when I couldn't stand. He's got every one of us through
some of the darkest days that anybody can go through, every
single soul in this building. There ain't a prince done that
for you. There ain't a politician done that for you. There ain't
no Wealthy man done that for you. There's been no flesh done
that for you. Only God's done that And all listen Go ahead and trust
that visible man. I'm gonna take God and the invisible
God and his word I'm gonna be like Moses. I'm enduring as he's
seeing him who is invisible and that what David is saying I David
was the king over Israel. You know what he's saying. Don't
put no trust in me. I Oh, why don't we put trust in
princes? Look what it says here. Put not
your trust in princes, nor in the son of man. That's his whole
problem. He's the son of man. He's the son of Adam. The only
difference between you and him is he's got more in this world,
more position, more power. But from the first to the last,
from the highest to the lowest, all of them are the sons of Adam.
They may be honorable, They may have great attainments, but one
thing about every single one of them, they were shaped in
iniquity and conceived in sin, and born sinful, live sinful,
and will die sinful if God don't intervene. Huh? Oh my. And the Son of Man, He's born
weak. And that's why it says there's
no help in Him. There's no help in Him. There's
no salvation in Him. And you know what happens to
people who do trust these people? That's the only people in the
world they can go to for help. And what do they get? What do they get? Get to stand
with their hands out waiting till somebody puts something
in them. Can't take care of themselves. Somebody else got to do it for
them. Why? Because they trust the word of a man,
a prince. And oh listen, look what he says,
there's no help in him. And here's why there's no help
in him, look what he says, his breath goeth forth. His breath departs, his breath
goes forth. One of these days, no matter
who he is, his breath goes from him. And when that breath goes
from him, He's just like me and you. I mean, listen, He's born
mortal. His breath departs from Him.
He's born corruptible. And when He says His breath goeth
forth, look what He says. He returns to the earth. Their breath departs. They're
born corruptible. He dies. I don't care what attainments
He's got. I don't care how powerful he
is. I don't care how highly he's esteemed and exalted. I don't
care if he's got all the money in the world. They had five men
today that they showed how wealthy they was. Between all of them,
they had over a trillion dollars. But you know what? They ain't
taking nothing with them when they leave here. When their breath
is gone, everything's gone. You ever watched anybody draw
their last breath? I've watched several people over
the years do it. And the minute it happens, the
minute, the instant it happens, coldness sets in immediately. They don't remember nothing.
They can't say nothing. They can't feel nothing. And that's why he says, don't
put no trust in him. Because his breath goeth forth.
And oh, man is so frail, so impotent. Well, you know all it takes to
cause him to leave this world? For his heart to get out of sync? For want of a little air, he'll
leave this world. Huh? No matter how high, no matter
what he knows, his breath goeth forth. He dies. And look what David said over
here in Psalm 144 in verse 3 and 4. Look what David said about
it here. Lord, what is man? Psalm 144,
3. Lord, what is man? What is man
that you take knowledge of him? That's an exclamation point.
See that? He says, Lord, what is man that thou takest knowledge
of him? in exclamation, or the son of
man that thou makest to count of him. He stands in astonishment,
just wonders. And he says, this is what man
is like. Man is like to vanity. His days are a shatter. It passes
away. You ever seen a young'un chase
his shatter? A child chase his shatter. Yeah, it's something. They see
their shadow and they keep trying to get to it, you know. And then
they start moving and they understand that whatever they do, their
shadow does. He says, that's what man is. He's just a shadow.
Shadow. And then look what else it says
about this man. His breath goeth forth and he
returns to the earth. The dust is his. That's where he come from and
he's going to return to it. What can one so frail do for
us? Do for us. And Nick, what else
it says? And in that very day, his thoughts
perish. In that very day, his thoughts
perish. Look at all the thoughts we've
had today. All of his thoughts, all of his plans, all of his
purposes, all of his projects, all of his expectations. When
the breath goes, they all go with him. Every thought he ever
had in his brain is gone. It's gone. He had, oh, you know
what? I have this great project I'm
going to start on. I have these wonderful expectations.
I have this purpose that I'm going to do. And that's what
one fellow said one time. He said, I'm going to tell you
what I'm going to do. He said, I've got so much stuff, I'm going to tear
down my barns, I'm going to build some bigger ones, and I'm going
to give somewhere, and then I'm going to say, oh, take, take
thine ease and be merry. And God said, oh, you fool. Tonight,
and all his plans and all of his expectations perish with
him. Now, I have plans, I have purpose,
I have expectations. I do. But I don't take my soul
on them. You know, I know what's going
to happen. And I ask you this, do you intend to repent someday?
Do you intend to seek the Lord one of these days? Do you intend
to be saved one of these days? how many thought they would someday. But that very day, all the thoughts
that they ever had go with them. I thought I'd have time. I thought I'd be able to, I thought
that God would give me enough time. And all you may think of yourself
as a good person, a strong person, a wise person, a moral person,
and all these things, but everything, every thought you ever had, and
every thought we ever had, never thought anybody else ever had,
when they take that last breath, them thoughts go. They die with
them. You ever had somebody say to
you, or give you a penny for your thoughts? Huh? I don't know what you're thinking
unless you verbalize to me what you're thinking. Ain't that right? A man don't know what's in a
man, except that man. And so nobody and I don't know
what you're thinking unless you tell me. But I do know this,
that one of these days, every thought that every human being's
ever had, when he's gone, his thoughts go with him. But oh, listen now, there's a
people that's blessed, and let me hurry on there. Here's a people
that's blessed. And he says, but happy or blessed
is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, not a prince, not
a son of man. No, no, no. Happy is he that
hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord
his God. Now, what does it mean to have
the God of Jacob for your help? The children not yet being born,
never having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God
according to election might stand, God said, Jacob, have a love. Esau, have a hate. That's the God we have, the God
who loves his people, loves Israel, loves spiritual Israel. And oh,
He's the God of covenant mercies. He's the God who says, I will
have mercy. I will have compassion upon whom
I will. And He will to show us mercy.
He will to show us compassion. And His mercies are sure because
He chose us and predestinated us to be like His blessed Son
one of these days. And that's going to happen. And
I tell you something else, not only is he, he's the God of election,
the God of love and the God that chooses his people and loves
his people before they're even born. He told, he told Jeremiah,
before you was formed in your mother's belly, I knew you and
ordained you to be a prophet. Paul says, would it please God
who separated me from my mother's womb and then call me by his
grace. Oh, listen. And not only that,
the God of mercies, but he's the God of revelation. You know
what happened to Jacob when God laid hold on him one night? That's the God I want one day
to get a hold of me and do what he wants to with me. I mean,
listen, he got a hold of Jacob and he wasn't going to let Jacob
go until Jacob had to admit that he couldn't
win. brought him to the end of himself
brought him to the end of he revealed to Jacob at Bethel and
he blessed him and then not only that but he gave him a new name
gave him a new name changed his nature he went from being Jacob
the deceiver and the supplater to being Israel the prince with
God Oh, and then not only that, but
he changed the way he walked. He never walked the same after
that. He throwed his hip out and he throwed his thigh out
of the joint and he talked. And oh, he's the Lord Jehovah,
our God. And he's a just God and a Savior
in our Lord Jesus Christ. And oh, beloved, I'll tell you
this. We can't trust princes, but we can trust our God. Well,
our God of Jacob is our help. Our hope is in the Lord God.
And why do we do that? Look what it said in verse 6.
This God's the one that made the heaven and the earth. He
made the sea and all that's in them. Everywhere we live. You know, somebody's telling,
this is how foolish man is. A fella got up the other day
and he talked about up in Mars how that there was a lake up
there as big as our northern hemisphere and it was a mile
deep and some catastrophic change of climate took place. Now how
in the world does he know that? Huh? And people will believe
that. He's never been to Mars. Nobody
else been to Mars. They won't believe in the living
God who created heaven and earth, but they'll believe in some hocus-pocus
magic or science that no science falsely so called. And then they'll
just, oh, that's wonderful. And yet, and we say, oh, our
God's in the heavens and he does whatever he pleases in the sea
and the air and all the deep places. And so we worship in
the God who creates. Huh? And he's immutable. The reason we're not consumed
is because he changes not. And look what else it says here.
In that last part of that verse, which made heaven, earth, the
sea, and all that there is. And listen to this, I love this
right here. Which keepeth truth forever. He keeps truth forever. Truth, oh, truth relative in
this world, but not here it ain't. God keeps truth forever. Oh, my. And then look what it
says in verse 10, and I'm done. It said in verse 10, the Lord
shall reign forever and ever. Forever. Who is it that's gonna
reign? Even thy God. Oh, Zion, oh, church. Oh, the people of God. The Lord
God shall reign forever, even thy God, O Zion. And how long
is he gonna reign? Until all generations, till he
gets through with the last one. And that's why he said, praise
ye the Lord. Huh? Oh, he's worthy, ain't he? He's worthy. Oh, Lord Jesus. Oh, bless your
name. Our Father, in the precious,
precious holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ, oh, we do praise
you. We do bless you. Our hearts lift
up to you. Our souls go out towards you. And Lord, I know that you've
got people here that that's the way they are. That's the way
they are. Oh, Lord, you are God. You're
the God of Jacob, and you're the one in whom we hold. You're
the one that created heaven and earth. You're the one that keeps
truth forever. And you're the one by whom we
live, move, and have our being. And so, Lord, we acknowledge
you to be all in all, that you're everything and we're nothing,
that you've got all power in heaven and earth, and that's
to whom we look to and trust. God bless these dear saints.
Oh, Lord, meet the needs of their hearts, meet the needs of their
homes, the needs of their children, and Lord, have mercy, mercy,
mercy upon those we love who are yet lost. And our blessed
Savior, we again pray for those who are sick among us. We thank
you for what you've done for Brother Jim and for Debbie, and
we thank you for what you're doing for Kathleen and what you're
doing for Jan. We love them. But you love them,
oh, you love them with an eternal love. And, oh, Lord, you mean
nothing but good for them. God bless them and meet their
needs for Christ's sake. Amen. Amen.
