that the songs that we sing preach
the gospel. It's amazing. He took my place. And I only have one story to
tell you. It's the old, old story. I remember
hearing a preacher one time, he said, it was Brother Henry
Mahan, he said, I have a fiddle, but I only have one string on
it, and that's Christ. And someone said to him one time,
they came up to him and they said, all you do is preach Christ.
He said, thank you. Oh, thanks. Acts chapter 4. Acts chapter 4. The name of the message is, there
is no other. There is no other. Acts chapter 4. We start in verse 1, and as they
spake unto the people, the priests and the captains of the temple
and the Sadducees came upon them, being grieved that they taught
the people and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the
dead. These religious folks were greatly
disturbed. And they laid hands on them and
put them in hold until the next day, for it was now eveningtide. How abate many of them which
heard the word believed, and the number of the men was about
five thousand. And it came to pass on the moral,
that the rulers and elders and scribes, and Ananias the high
priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as
were of the kindred of the high priest were gathered together
at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in
the midst, they asked, by what power or by what name have you
done this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy
Ghost, said unto them, ye rulers of the people and elders of Israel,
if we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent
man, by what means he is made whole? And this man had not He'd been in that state for years
and years and years. Be it known unto you all, and
to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ
of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God hath raised from the
dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set
at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Here's our text. Neither is there salvation in
any other. For there is none other name under heaven given
among men whereby we must be saved. No other name. Here before us
in our text, we have Peter and John bought before the religious
leaders of their day after a great miracle had been wrought. Turn
with me if you would, one chapter over, Acts chapter 3. Acts chapter 3. A great miracle. Now Peter and John went up together
into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, was carried,
whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called
Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple. Lame from his mother's womb. who seeing Peter and John about
to go into the temple, asked them out in alms. He just wanted
some money. He was going to get far more
than that. And Peter fastened his eyes upon
him, but John said, Look on us. He gave heed unto them, expecting
to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold
have I none, but such as I have I give thee in the name of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth. Rise up and walk. And he took
him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet
and ankle bones received strength. What a miracle. He'd never walked. Those legs had never supported
him. See, when Christ heals, it's a full healing. And look, I like this. And leaping
up, stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking
and leaping and praising God. He never walked before. And they knew that it was he
which sat for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple, and they
were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto
him. So this wonderful miracle had occurred. Peter and John
have given glory to God in Christ. And Peter goes on in chapter
3, preaching Christ to those who were gathered, and we saw
at the beginning of verse 4, still preaching Christ. And then they're taken captive
for preaching Christ. And they're brought before the
religious leaders, the religious hucksters of their day. And this is the setting of our
text. Now if we were to go out, I mentioned this earlier today,
If we were to go out and ask a hundred random people what
they thought about God, we'd get a hundred random different
answers. If we were going to go out and
ask a hundred random people what they thought about Christ, we'd
also get a hundred random answers. But the scripture says there
is only one God. And He's not the God of our imagination. Turn, if you would, to Isaiah
46. He's not a God who we conjure up in our mind. Scripture tells
us who this God is. And as believers, we bow our
knee to that. We looked at this earlier this
morning, but I'd like to look at it here right now, too. And this is who God is. Isaiah
46, verses 9 to 11. What does Scripture declare about
God? Remember the former things of old, for I am God and there
is none else. There is no other God than God.
None. He is the one true God. I am God and there is none like
me. We can't even fathom what God's like. except what he reveals
in scripture to us. He says, our thoughts are not
his thoughts. Declare on the end from the beginning.
He already knows what's going to happen. We live our life from the beginning
of our life to the end of our life, right? Well, he knows the
end from the beginning. He knows everything that's going
to happen, everything. From ancient times, from eternity,
beloved, from eternity. Things that are not yet done. When we worry about tomorrow,
he knows tomorrow. He knows what we're gonna go
through. And he'll never leave us or forsake us. What a comfort
for us. saying my counsel shall stand,
whatever he purposes, whatever he wills, will come to pass. He doesn't try to save people,
he saves them. I'll do all my pleasure. Calling
the ravenous bird from the east, man that executed my counsel
from a far country, yea, I've spoken it. Oh, if God's decreed
it, I'll also bring it to pass. There
it is. This is the God of the Bible.
He's not on our whim. We're at His. I have purposed it. I'll also
do it. So back to our text in Acts.
That's the setting of who God is. Ask people about salvation and
how you can be saved, and you're going to get all kinds of different
answers. But as I said this morning, we
don't want man's opinion, do we? What does the Word of God
say? How can we be saved? Neither is there salvation, look
at this, in any other. There goes Mary, there goes Muhammad,
there goes Buddha, there goes ourselves. No salvation in our own doing,
in any other. No one else but Christ. For there is none other name
under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Oh, we must be saved, eh? We
can't save ourselves. Peter and John are brought before
the religious leaders of the world, and look at what they
proclaim. They proclaim the certainty of
salvation in Christ and Him alone. It's certain. There's no co-savior
like the Catholic Church tells her masses. There's no salvation and baptism
like the Church of Christ likes to proclaim. Those are false
gospels. Refuges of lies. There's no salvation in a certain
church. There's only salvation in Christ and in Him alone. Nowhere
else. Look at verse 10 and 11 of our
text. Be it known unto you all And
to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ
of Nazareth, whom he crucified, whom God raised from the dead,
even by him doth this man stand before you whole. This is the
stone which was set at nought of you builders, which has become
the head of the corner." And then, so, he's told us who it
is, right? Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And
then we go to verse 12, neither is there salvation in any other.
There is only salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone
and nowhere else. Nowhere else. For there is none
other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be
saved. Now I ask you this, if Peter
and John proclaim this to the religious world of their day,
Can we do any less? No. We proclaim the truth of
salvation. We trumpet and proclaim that
salvation is only in the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. Nowhere
else. We don't want to lie to folks. We don't want to make what we
preach easier on people's ears. We're not tickling ears or looking
for popularity. We trumpet the grace of God in
Christ by preaching His precious word, and He saves His sheep. Because there is salvation only
in Christ. Turn with me, if you would, to
Psalm 119. We hate false gospels, don't
we? We hate them. Because they lead men to hell. False Gospels put the power into
man's hands and rob God of his sovereignty. Psalm 119, 104 and 128. 104 says, through thy precepts I
get understanding, therefore I hate every false way. We despise false Gospels. 128 says, Therefore I esteem all
thy precepts concerning all things to be right, and I hate every
false way. Through preaching and the reading
of Scriptures, God reveals to us His truth, His precious truth,
and it ruins us for everything else. We don't want to hear anything
but the Gospel of God's free grace in Christ. That's all we
want to hear. We feast on clover, the clover
of God's Word. And I proclaim to you today that false gospels are nothing
but paper religion, and they'll be burned up under
God's wrath and His holiness. There is salvation only in Christ. It is found nowhere else. Salvation is of the Lord. It's
not our doing. It's not praying a prayer. God's
people will pray. But you're not saved by anything
you do. If you're saved, it's by Christ
and Him alone. So I ask you today, is Christ
your refuge? Is He your shelter? Is He your salvation? Because
if He's not, you're lost. Oh, I pray God would make you
willing, give you faith to believe. Let's look at some things in
light of the scripture, in light of this text. Neither is there
salvation in any other, for there is none other name Under heaven and given among
men, whereby we must be saved. Scripture declares neither is
there salvation in any other. There's only one Savior. Only
one. Just one. Isaiah 45. Let's turn
there. Isaiah 45. There is only one
Savior, and He is our God. He's our God. Anyone claiming that salvation
is in any other than Christ, is a false prophet. Anyone else claiming that salvation
is in anything they do, does not know the Savior. Isaiah 45, 21 and 22. Adding anything to your salvation
in Christ, no matter how small it is, is a false refuge. Isaiah 45, verses 21 and 22. And think of this in light of
neither is there salvation in any other. Tell ye and bring them near,
yea, let them take counsel together. Who hath declared this from ancient
time? Who hath told it from that time? Have not I the Lord? And there
is no God else beside me, a just God and a Savior? There is none
beside me. Think of that in light of what
we're seeing. Neither is there salvation in any other. The Lord
Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. God incarnate in the flesh. And
then verse 22 says, look unto me. It doesn't say do any work,
does it? Look. Look to Christ. And all of us who are saved here,
we just look to Christ. He's our Savior. And if you're
not saved, we say, look to Christ. Look to Christ. May God make
you willing to look to Him. Look to Christ and be ye saved. It's not a maybe. All who look
to Christ will be saved. All the ends of the earth, for
I am God, and there is none else. There is no other God than the
God of the Bible. Jesus Christ was God in the flesh.
and there's no God beside him. And this is not up for debate.
This is not up for debate. This is declared truth. It's not up for the opinions
of man. Man will try to tell you what
scripture says. Why don't we just read it and see what it
says? If you notice with grace preachers, we just preach what
the text says. We don't add anything to it. God said it, I believe it. And he said, look unto me and
be ye saved. If I look to Christ, I'll be saved. And I am. And
you know what? I still look unto him. I'm a
sinner saved by the grace of God in Christ plus nothing. Turn, if you would, to Matthew
chapter 11. This precious truth is not up
for debate or up for any of the opinions of man. It is proclaimed
truth. And God is pleased to reveal
it to his people, babes. And we rest and rejoice in the
wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord, God incarnate in the
flesh. Matthew chapter 11. There is no other Savior but
the Lord Jesus Christ to look to. for all our salvation. Verse 25, at that time Jesus
answered and said, I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and
earth, because Thou hast hid these things from the wise and
prudent and has revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father,
for it seemed good in Thy sight. Remember, we looked at this morning,
His will and pleasure will be done, right? Whatever He wills. All things are delivered unto
me of my Father, and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father. Neither
knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever
the Son will reveal him. Come unto me." Are you heavy
laden with your works? Is your soul weary? Has God revealed
to you that you're a sinner? Christ says, come, come unto
me. ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Rest. We didn't have any rest before
the Lord saved us, did we? None at all. So there's only
one Savior. Neither is there salvation in
any other. Only in Christ. One Savior. The second point
is Let's go back to our text. Neither is there salvation in
any other, for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved. There is no other sacrifice. There is no other Savior, and
there is no other sacrifice. None. Put your finger in 1 Peter, if
you could, chapter 1, and 1 John, chapter 1. Only the sacrifice. of the perfect spotless Lamb
of God, the Lord Jesus Christ could take away the sins of His
people. No sacrifice we offer to God
by our own hands or by our own works are sufficient because
everything we do is tainted by sin. We need a perfect sacrifice which
will appease God's wrath and justice. We need a perfect sacrifice. And God's wrath and justice has
a right claim upon us, because we're sinners. Praise be to God, we have a sacrifice
in the Lord Jesus Christ, and only in Him. Neither is there
salvation in any other. We have a sacrifice in the Lord
Jesus Christ which will please our holy, righteous, sovereign
God. 1 John 1, 7. But if we walk in
the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all
sin. There's not one left, because
He's the perfect sacrifice. And in 1 Peter 1, He is the perfect spotless Lamb
of God. No sin at all. Verse 18-20, For as much as ye
know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver
and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your
fathers, So we're not saved because our parents were saved. We're
not redeemed with money. No, no. Look at verse 19. But what the precious blood of
Christ is of a lamb without blemish and without spots, who verily
was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest
in these last times, beloved, for you. For you. For all his people. So there's no other sacrifice
that is pleasing to God but Christ. No other sacrifice that can cleanse
us from all our sins but the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone,
which leads to our next point. So there's only one Savior, and
that's Christ. There's only one sacrifice that
God's pleased with, and that's Christ. There's no other substitute. Neither is there salvation in
any other, for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved. There is no other substitute. Turn, if you would, to Galatians
chapter 3. The Lord Jesus Christ died the
sinner's substitute, for he hath made him to be sin for us who
knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God
in him. He died on the cross in the room and place of his
people, and our sins were imputed to him. And he paid all that
God demanded. Galatians 3 verse 11 to 14, but
that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God. You
want to justify yourself with the law? Well, scripture says
no man is justified by the law. The law shows us what sinners
we are. But that no man is justified
by the law and the sight of God, it is evident, for the just shall
live by faith. And the law is not of faith,
but the man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath, hath,
there's another one of those hinge words, little tiny words,
but oh, hath redeemed us. It's not a maybe. He hath redeemed
his people. from the curse of the law being
made a curse for us, for it is written, cursed is everyone that
hangeth on a tree, that the blessing of Abraham might come on the
Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise
of the Spirit through faith. There is only one Savior. There
is only one sacrifice. There is only one substitute. And our next point is There is
only one who can satisfy. No other satisfaction before
the courts of God's holy and inflexible justice but in the
Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. Nowhere else. Neither is there salvation in
any other. It's Christ and Him alone. For there is none other
name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.
Only the Lord Jesus Christ could satisfy God's law and justice
in our place. Only him, the holy spotless lamb
of God. Turn, if you would, to Isaiah
chapter 53. None of us, none of us on this
top side of God's earth could even pay. Can you pay for one
of your sins? I ask, just one. Nope, we can't, can we? We're
bankrupt. We're hopeless before God's law
and justice on our own. Oh, but Christ has made satisfaction
for his people. I told some folks this week,
I said, if you're a sinner, I have good news. But if you're not,
I don't have anything for you. God's people are safe sinners.
That's what we are. Isaiah 53, verses 10 to 12. What wonderful news. Christ has
made satisfaction before God's law and justice. Verse 10, yet it pleased the
Lord to bruise him. God the Father was pleased to
bruise Christ in our place. He came to do the will of the
Father. He hath put him to grief, when thou shalt make his soul
an offering for sin. He shall see his seed, he shall
prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in
his hand. He shall see the travail of his soul, God the Father shall
see the travail of Christ, and shall be satisfied. It's finished. For he shall bear their iniquities.
By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many. Doesn't
say all, but many. Who are the many? God's
elect. For he shall bear their iniquities. We looked and saw that he bore
our sins. Therefore will I divide him a
portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoiled with
the strong, because he hath poured out his soul unto death, and
he was numbered with the transgressors, and he bare the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors." Now, think of
this. As we go through this world,
we who are saved, and struggles come, and sin comes, and we battle
with it all the time, Christ has made satisfaction for our
sins. He did it and God is pleased.
Nothing for us to do. Nothing. Look under him. And what we don't stop looking,
do we? We just keep looking and looking and looking to him. Oh, salvation is in no other.
Only in the Lord Jesus Christ and him alone. Nothing else will
satisfy the justice and law of God, and the sacrifice of Christ.
So we have a sufficient sacrifice in Christ and in Him alone. There
is no other servant but the Lord Jesus Christ to honor and establish
righteousness for us. To honor and establish righteousness
for us. This is the next point. Neither
is there salvation in any other, for there is none other Name
under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. In order for us to stand before
God, we looked at this a few weeks back, in order for us to
stand before God, who is holy and just, we must have a righteousness
which is suitable. We must. A righteousness which is pure
before God. But scripture says all our righteousness
are like filthy rags. We must have a pure, perfect
righteousness before a God who is holy, and a God who is just,
and a God who cannot have sin in his presence. How can a man be justified before
God? Well, with man it's impossible,
but with God all things are possible. There was only one. Only one
who was perfect before God. Only one. Sinless. And that is Christ. So not only
did he die a substitutionary death, but he lived a substitutionary
life for all his people. The Lord is well pleased for
His righteousness sake. He will magnify the law and make
it honorable. Isaiah 42, 21. The Lord is well
pleased for His righteousness sake. He will magnify the law
and make it honorable. We can't magnify the law and
make it honorable on our own. But Christ did it for His people.
He magnified God's law. He honored God's law. Turn, if
you would, to Romans chapter 4. The Lord Jesus Christ honored
God's law perfectly in the place of His people. He magnified God's
law. We know that Scripture says the
soul that sinneth it must die. Our sins are imputed to Christ.
He's the perfect, sinless, spotless Lamb of God. And his spotless righteousness
is imputed to us. It's magnificent. Sinners. Romans 4 verses 6 and 8 says
this, even as David also described it, the blessedness. If you're
here and you're saved, you're blessed. the blessedness of the man unto
whom God imputeth righteousness without works." There it is. We're not saved by what we do,
we're saved by what He's done. Saying, blessed are they whose
iniquities are forgiven. Oh, our sin is like a mountain
before us. But the Scriptures tell us, the
Scriptures declare, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven,
all of them, and whose sins are covered by the precious blood
of Christ. I don't care what you've done,
if you're in Christ, you're blessed. Scripture declares right here
before us, if you're in Christ, blessed are they whose iniquities
are forgiven and whose sins are covered. And then it goes on,
verse eight, blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute
sin. Turn if you would to Philippians
chapter 3. Our dear brother Paul, he had wealth and esteem. He
had wealth and he had the esteem of men. But look at what he says
in light of this wonderful righteousness being imputed to us. what our
dear brother says. Philippians chapter three, verses
seven to 10. But what things were gained to
me, I counted loss for Christ. Now he's a wealthy man. And he
had folks, some say he was in line to be a high priest. I don't
know if that's true, but some folks have said that. He was
a Pharisee of Pharisees. He sounded like one of the greatest
teachers of his day. But what things were gained to
me, those I count as loss for Christ. Yea, doubtless, and I
count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge
of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I've suffered the loss of
all things. And do count them but done, that I may win Christ,
and be found in him, look at this, not heaven, mine own righteousness,
which is of the law. Oh, but that which is through
the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. That I may know him in the power
of his resurrection, in the fellowship of his sufferings, be made conformable
unto his death. Paul's not trusting in any self-achieved
righteousness. He says, that was all done. He's not trusting in his works
or his deeds. He's rejoicing in the fact that
the genuine righteousness of God, which comes through faith
in Christ, is his. I stand before you, a sinner,
saved by the grace of God, but when God looks upon me, he sees
the righteousness of Christ. And that's the same for every
believer. That's amazing. It's just incredible. That's
grace. That's mercy. The perfect righteousness. Turn
if you would to Colossians chapter 1 verse 22. We're going through
our study in Colossians. We haven't got here yet on Wednesday
nights, but look at this. Colossians chapter 1. We're starting verse 20. And heaven made peace through
the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto
Himself. By Him, I say, whether they be things in earth or things
in heaven. And you that were sometime alienated
and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through
death to present you, and remember, we're sinners, aren't we? by
birth, by nature, and by choice. Look what Scripture declares.
To present you holy. Holy. In the Greek that means most
holy thing. A saint. Holy. And unblameable. In the Greek, that means without
blemish. Without blemish. Morally without
blemish, faultless. The Greek continues, and I like
this, unblameable. And unapprovable in this site.
The Greek word for unapproval means that you cannot be called
into account. Unaccused, blameless. What a magnificent, wonderful
savior is Jesus Christ our Lord. And beloved, we have all this
in Christ. Wonderful news for sinners, isn't
it? Wonderful news for sinners. Cannot be called into account. The next point we'll look at
is there is no other surety but the Lord Jesus Christ to guarantee
all the terms of the everlasting covenant. Turn, if you would,
to 2 Samuel 23, verse 5. 2 Samuel 23, verse five. And remember, neither is there
salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven
given among men whereby we must be saved. There's no other surety
to guarantee all the terms of the everlasting covenant of grace. And put your finger in Hebrews
chapter nine too, also, sorry. 2 Samuel 23, verse 5. Although
my house be not so with God, yet he hath made with me an everlasting
covenant. And every believer can say this.
Every one of God's sheep can say this. Ordered in all things. Ordered
by God. And sure, God tells us, God has made a
covenant, an everlasting covenant with his people and it is ordered
and it is sure. For this is all my salvation.
It's all in Christ. It's all in him. And all my desire is it don't
you hunger and thirst after Christ now and nothing else, right?
Nothing else satisfies us like Christ. although ye make it not to grow." This everlasting covenant was
ratified and confirmed by the precious blood of Christ. He's
the surety. Hebrews 7.22 says, But so much
was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And then in Hebrews
9, 11, and 12, all the Old Testament sacrifices
couldn't take away sin, could they? But they were pointing
to one who could. They were pointing to one who
could. Look at Hebrews 9, 11, and 12.
But Christ, being come in high priesthood, good things to come
by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands,
that is to say, not of this building, neither by the blood of goats
and calves, but by his own precious blood. Christ redeemed his people
with his own precious blood, sacrificed at Calvary's cross.
He's the surety, the only surety. He entered in once into the holy
place. Look at this. Having obtained eternal redemption
for us. Christ obtained it. He didn't
try to make it. You often hear people say, well,
God, you know, Christ died on the cross to make us savable.
Absolutely not. That's a false gospel. That's
a false Christ, because the Christ of the Bible, my King, my Savior,
my Lord, obtained eternal redemption for us. He did it. He did it,
beloved. He sealed our pardon with his
precious blood. He shall not fail. And he did
not. In Hebrews 13, 20 says, now the
God of peace that bought again from the dead, our Lord Jesus,
that great shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the everlasting
covenant. Oh, his blood ratified the everlasting
covenant. He's the surety of the everlasting,
the guarantor of the everlasting covenant. That's what surety
means, is he's a guarantor by his own precious blood. No other surety then. And the
last point we'll look at is, there is no other shepherd for
the sheep of God. There is no other shepherd. Turn,
if you would, to John chapter 10. Neither is there salvation in
any other, for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved. Oh, there's no other shepherd,
beloved, but the Lord Jesus Christ. And only He can justify and bring
home His lost sheep. If we were left to ourselves,
we'd be wandering still. And we'd be not caring at all. Enjoying the mess that we were
in. But God had mercy, and he has
mercy on his people. John chapter 10, verses 10 to
15. He's the good shepherd. The thief cometh not, but for
to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have
life. and that they might have it more
abundantly. I am the Good Shepherd. I am. And then he says this,
the Good Shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. His precious blood was shed on
Calvary's tree for his sheep, for his people, having obtained
eternal redemption. And he goes on to say, but he
that is in Hyrule, and not the shepherd whose own the sheep
are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth,
and the wolf catches them, and scattereth the sheep. Hyrule
fleeth, because he's in Hyrule, and careth not for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep. Gnuska, I know him
intimately. I know him. How long has he known?
Before the foundation of the world. Before we ever were. I know of Him. And a known of
mine. His sheep know Him. Because He's
revealed Himself. There was a time when we didn't
know Him, eh? Praise God. He revealed Himself to us. As
the Father knoweth me, even so I know the Father. And I lay
down my life. Christ laid down His life. for
his people, for his sheep. He is the good shepherd. He is
the great shepherd. Now the God of peace that bought
again from the dead, our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of
the sheep through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Hebrews
13.20, 1 Peter 5.4, and when the chief shepherd shall appear,
ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. And then
1 Peter 3.18, for Christ also has suffered for sins the just. the just, the Holy One, the perfect
spotless Lamb of God for the unjust. Christ died for sinners. He died for sinners. The question
is, are you a sinner? May God show you that you are. He might bring us to God being
put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. So we
see that there is salvation in no other. Only in Christ and
Him alone. Only in Christ and Him alone. Just a quick note too, we're
going to have communion. And if you're a believer in Christ,
take communion. But if you're not, don't take communion.
