Paul suffered the loss of all things. He counted them but dung, all that he trusted in, all his own self-righteousness, all his own glory, all that he had before. He happily suffered the loss of it all and counted it as nothing that he might win Christ. He counted his own righteousness, which was of the law, as dung. And he clung to that righteousness which is through the faith of Christ. The righteousness which is of God by faith. That righteousness that Christ brought in for him at the cross.
