Psalm 70:1-5
Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.
2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

OK, this evening we want to take
a look at Psalm 70. It's a short psalm, but it is
a psalm that's given of God, as all scripture is. I'm entitling
the message from the words that are found in the last part, or
the middle part of verse 4. Verse four reads, let all those
that seek thee rejoice and be glad. What a blessing it is when
any sinner seeks the Lord, seeking him to find him and then rejoicing
in him. We rejoice in him and we are
glad and let such as love thy salvation say continually, let
God be magnified. BELIEVERS LOVE GOD'S SALVATION. THAT'S THE TITLE OF THE MESSAGE.
BELIEVERS DO LOVE GOD'S SALVATION. THEY TRULY DO. BECAUSE THEY LOVE
WHO GOD'S SALVATION IS. GOD'S SALVATION IS THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST. HE IS CALLED GOD OUR SAVIOR. YOU REMEMBER SIMEON IN THE TEMPLE?
He said, Lord, now let us thy servant depart in peace according
to thy word, for mine eyes have seen thy salvation. He was holding up just a little
babe, the God-man in the form of a child, and yet he saw in
that person all of his salvation. all of his pardon, all of his
redemption. Now, surely there is salvation
in no one else, but the Lord Jesus Christ. This book knows
nothing of any other salvation, but in Christ. We studied in
the book of Acts, you remember that fourth chapter, verse 12,
neither IS THERE SALVATION IN ANY OTHER? KNOW OF THE NAME UNDER
HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MAN WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED. SO EVERY BELIEVER
CAN SAY THOSE WHO WERE SAVED BY THIS SALVATION THEY LOVE IT. because they love Him who saved
them by His grace. And they know that their salvation
is of the Lord, all of Him. Now this Psalm, as you see right
below Psalm 70, it says, the Psalm of David to bring to remembrance. Now, we often need a reminder,
don't we? Oftentimes we remember things
we should forget. Right? And we forget things we
should remember. We read in Hebrews chapter two,
you remember, he said, be careful about the word of God, don't
let it slip, don't let it run out as a leaking vessel. All
scriptures we know were given to remind us and to teach us
of all that God has promised and all that God has performed
ALL THAT HE HAS PROMISED AND ALL THAT HE HAS PERFORMED WILL
BE DONE TO THE GLORY OF OUR GOD. BECAUSE OF OUR SINFUL INFIRMITIES
AND FRAILTIES, BECAUSE THIS FLESH IS JUST WHAT IT IS, SINFUL FLESH,
WE NEED TO BE REMINDED CONSTANTLY, DON'T WE? A CONSTANT REMINDER. I'VE JOTTED DOWN SEVERAL THINGS
THAT WE NEED TO BE REMINDED OF. We need to be reminded of that
we are sinners through and through. Sinners through and through.
We say with Paul, I'm the chief of sinners. We say with Paul,
old wretched man, that I am. We need to be reminded of our
sin. Secondly, we need to be reminded
THAT GOD IS GOD, AND THAT GOD IS MOST HOLY, HOLY, HOLY. BESIDE HIM THERE IS NO OTHER
GOD. WE NEED TO BE REMINDED THAT THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST IS NONE OTHER THAN GOD, MANIFEST IN THE FLESH,
WHO ACCOMPLISHED ALL OF OUR SALVATION. AND THEN THE LORD HAS GIVEN US
THE LORD'S TABLE FOR WHAT REASON? REMEMBER WHAT HE SAID? IN REMEMBRANCE
OF ME, MY BROKEN BODY, BECAUSE SIN WAS LAID UPON HIM, AND BECAUSE
SIN WAS LAID UPON HIM, HIS BODY WAS BROKEN, AND HIS BLOOD WAS
SHED, THAT WE MIGHT HAVE REDEMPTION FROM ALL OUR SIN. OH, TO BRING TO REMEMBRANCE ALL
THE BLESSINGS WE HAVE IN CHRIST, AND WHY WE HAVE THEM. WHY DO
WE HAVE THEM? IT PLEASED GOD TO DO SO. NOW, I WANT TO CAMP ON VERSE
5 IN JUST A FEW MINUTES, BUT LOOK AT VERSE 1 AND VERSE 5 TOGETHER. I WANT TO CAMP ON VERSE 4 FOR
A MINUTE, BUT LOOK AT VERSE 1 AND VERSE 5. HERE WE SEE OUR CRITICAL,
CRUCIAL NEED AND OUR URGENT PLEA AND CRY AND PRAYER BEFORE GOD. Look at verse one. Make haste,
O God, to deliver me. That word deliver is also rendered
many other places redeemed. Make haste, O God, to redeem
me. And we know we're redeemed only
with the blood of Christ. And then make haste to my help,
O Lord. Now, if the Lord's our helper,
We have the best, the best helper. The only one that God has provided
for us is Christ Jesus. Look at verse five, Psalm 70
verse five, but I am poor and needy. David often says that. I am poor and needy, make haste
unto me, O God. Have mercy upon me, thee sinner,
O God. Thou art my help, thou art my
redeemer, Now work my strength, oh Lord, don't delay. I need
this right now. Make haste to help me. Now, oh
God, oh Lord, make haste. That is, come to my aid. Speedily deliver me. Rescue me. Recover me. Save me. Redeem me. And then help me. Now that's
our plea, is it not? I think about this, who else
is able to deliver us? Who else is able to help us? Who else is able to redeem us? He's able to save us to the uttermost,
all that come to God by Him. Who else is willing to do so? He is the willing, able Savior. He said, all that the father
giveth me shall come to me. And those that come to me, he
said, I will in no wise cast them out. He's the willing savior.
Who else is pleased to do so? He's hid these things from the
wise and prudent and reveal them unto us, babe, even so father,
for so it seemed good in his sight. It pleases God to save
sinners BY HIS GRACE, NONE BUT OUR KINSMAN-REDEEMER, WHO WAS
NEAR KIN TO US, WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO REDEEM, WHO WAS ABLE TO REDEEM,
AND WHO WAS WILLING TO REDEEM. DO YOU REMEMBER WHO THE KINSMAN-REDEEMER
IS IN THE STORY OF RUTH AND BOAZ? HE WAS ABLE, HE WAS WILLING,
AND HE HAD THE RIGHT TO REDEEM. WHAT A FIT PICTURE OF OUR LORD
JESUS CHRIST. WE ALSO SEE THE REASON WHY WE
NEED DELIVERANCE, WHY WE NEED TO BE REDEEMED, WHY WE NEED SALVATION. DOWN IN VERSE 5, DAVID SAID,
I AM POOR, BANKRUPT. I'M A BANKRUPT SINNER, SPIRITUALLY
BANKRUPT. We have nothing, know nothing,
and are nothing before God. Poor, bankrupt. David said in another psalm,
a man at his best state is altogether vanity, vanity. I am poor, bankrupt. How poor? SPIRITUALLY ABSOLUTELY
DESTITUTE OF ANY RIGHTEOUSNESS, OF ANY GOODNESS. AND THEN BECAUSE
OF THAT, WE ARE NEEDY. I'M POOR AND I'M NEEDY. NOW, IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING OF
YOUR POVERTY, BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT. THEY ARE CALLED
THE CHILDREN OF GOD. WE ARE POOR AND NEEDY SINFUL
CREATURES, BUT WHAT DO WE NEED? Or who do we need? The Lord Jesus
Christ. To the poor and needy sinner,
the Lord Jesus Christ is everything. He's all that we need, nothing
more, nothing less, and nothing else. I remember years ago hearing
Brother Scott Richardson, someone asked him a question,
is the Lord Jesus Christ, is he enough? And he said, if he's
all you've got, you've got everything that God has for the sinner.
In him dwells all the fullness of a Godhead bodily and we're
complete in Christ. My God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
We see the reason why we need deliverance and salvation because
we are poor and needy. What has the Lord Jesus Christ
delivered us from? OUR SIN. HE DELIVERED US FROM
OUR SIN. CALL HIS NAME JESUS, HE SHALL
SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SIN. HE APPEARED ONCE IN THE END OF
THE AGE TO PUT AWAY SIN BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF. HE REDEEMED US FROM THE PENALTY
OF SIN. HE REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE
OF THE LAW, BEING MADE A CURSE FOR US. There is therefore now
in the Lord Jesus Christ, no condemnation. He delivered us
from the power of sin to condemn us. And one day soon by his grace,
he'll deliver us from the very presence of sin, wherein we'll
have a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
And we'll have a new body, like unto his glorious body, with
a divine nature and able to worship him like we ought to, in spirit
and in truth, fully and totally, forever. Now, that's our plea. Make haste, O God, to deliver
me and help me. Why? I'm poor and needy. O God,
thou art my help, my deliverer. You remember over here, don't
turn, let me just, HEBREWS 2, FOR IN THAT HE HIMSELF HATH SUFFERED
BEING TEMPTED, HE IS ABLE TO SUCKER THEM, TO HELP THEM THAT
ARE TEMPTED. HE IS OUR REFUGE. HE'S EVERYTHING. OUR REFUGE, OUR STRENGTH, OUR
HOPE, OUR SALVATION. NOW, NOTICE VERSE 2 AND VERSE
3 IN PSALM 70, LET THEM BE ASHAMED and confounded that seek after
my soul. David had some real enemies.
Even in his own house, his own children turned on him. Let them
be ashamed and confounded, confounded that seek after my soul. Remember
David said, I feel like a hundred bird. He said, there's a step,
just one step between me and death. Let them be turned backward. AND PUT TO CONFUSION THAT DESIRE
MY HURT. LET THEM, THREE TIMES HE SAYS
THIS, LET THEM, LET THEM BE TURNED BACK FOR REWARD OF THEIR SHAME. REWARD THEM ACCORDING TO THEIR
GUILT, THEIR SIN, AND THEIR SHAME THAT WOULD SAY AND MOCK THE KING
OF ISRAEL, GOD'S ANOINTED, DAVID, WHO IS A PICTURE OF WHO? the
Lord Jesus Christ. Now, who are these people? All those
who are the enemies of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. All
those that oppose the way of sovereign grace to the Lord Jesus
Christ alone. Powerful and weighty are the
judgments that are given here against the enemies of Christ. He said, let them be ashamed. Hold your place there and turn
over to Isaiah 45 we've seen this before let them be ashamed
Isaiah 45 16 let them be ashamed and also confounded all of them
they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols Isaiah
45, 16. But Israel shall be saved in
the Lord with an everlasting salvation. You shall not be ashamed
nor confounded, world without end. Now, what a difference.
Who makes you to differ from another? Why aren't we makers
of idols and worshiping idols? Because His grace has made us
to differ. He says, if the enemies of Christ
let them be ashamed, let them be confounded and let them be
confused and turn back for reward of their own evil doing. Now, I don't want to be numbered
or found among that crowd. Do you that say, aha, that's
what they said of the Lord Jesus Christ, away with him, crucify
him. We have no king but Caesar. I
don't want to be numbered among the crowd that make fun and ridicule
and scorn the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember Psalm
2 we read Sunday? where it says God will have them
in derision. He will laugh at their calamity. God will have the last laugh.
Go ahead and laugh now. Make fun and ridicule and scorn
the gospel of Christ. That's the power of God and salvation. But one day it'll be required
at your hand. Now here's where we desire to
be found, verse four. I want to be found among the
Lord's people, that all those, I don't want to be among them. Now, by nature, that's where
we are, but by grace, we've been delivered out of our rebellion
and our sin, and he's caused us to rejoice and seek the Lord. Let all those that seek thee
Rejoice in the Lord, again I say rejoice, and let us be glad in
Him. And let such as love thy salvation
say continually, let God be magnified. Now hold your place there and
turn back to Psalm 34. Let God be magnified. ISN'T THAT
THE DESIRE OF THOSE WHO SEEK THE LORD AND THOSE THAT SEEK
HIS SALVATION? ISN'T OUR DESIRE TO SEE GOD MAGNIFIED? PSALM 34, VERSE 1, I WILL BLESS
THE LORD AT ALL TIME. HIS PRAISE SHALL BE CONTINUALLY
IN MY MOUTH. MY SOUL SHALL MAKE HER BOAST
IN THE LORD. THE HUMBLE SHALL HEAR THEREOF
AND BE GLAD O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his
name together. That's why we meet together,
is it not? To seek his mercy, to rejoice
in the Lord, and to say, let God be magnified. To him be all
the honor and glory, both now and forever. David said in another
psalm, don't turn, let me just get it for you. Not unto us,
O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory for thy mercy
and for thy true sake. Not to us. Oh, let God be magnified
in all things that he does. Now, those seeking the Lord and
those rejoicing in the Lord are those that love God's salvation. Now, we only seek the Lord and
seek mercy and forgiveness in the Lord because he first sought
us out. It's like that scripture that
says, we love him only because he first loved us. It says over
in Psalm 27, if you wanna turn over there, this will be a help
to you, about seeking the Lord. When do we seek the Lord? Psalm 27. VERSE 8, WHEN THOU
SAIDEST, SEEK YE MY FACE, MY HEART SAID UNTO THEE, THY FACE
LORD WILL I SEEK. WHEN HE COMMANDS US TO SEEK THE
LORD, THAT'S WHEN WE'LL SEEK THE LORD. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? THEY'RE POOR AND NEEDY, SINNERS
THAT HAVE BEEN DELIVERED BY HIS GRACE. I AM WHAT I AM BY THE
GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. PREACH TOO MUCH, TOO HIGH, TOO
STRONG, TOO OFTEN ABOUT THE GRACE OF GOD IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD'S SAVING, SOVEREIGN GRACE. BELIEVERS ARE SEEKERS. THEY SEEK
TO KNOW HIM WHO IS LIFE AND SALVATION. THEY SEEK TO KNOW MORE ABOUT
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, ABOUT HIS PERSON, ABOUT HIS WORK. SEEK
YE FIRST THE LORD, SEEK YE FIRST THE LORD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS,
AND ALL THESE OTHER THINGS, THEY'LL PAN OUT, WON'T THEY? SEEK THE
LORD. TURN OVER HERE TO PSALM 42. PSALM
42, VERSE 1. paneth after the water brooks,
so paneth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for
God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear
before God? HAS THAT THIRSTY DEER THE WILDERNESS? HAS IT PANTS AFTER THE WATER? THAT'S THE WAY BELIEVERS, THEY
HAVE A THIRST FOR CHRIST. HE GIVES US THAT THIRST. HE SAYS,
OH, EVERYONE THAT'S THIRSTY, COME TO ME AND DRINK. AND BELIEVERS DO. THEY DO SEEK
THE LORD, AND THEY DO REJOICE IN HIM. THEY REJOICE IN HIM. REMEMBER FROM PHILIPPIANS 3,
where Paul rejoices, he said, we are the true Israel of God,
which worship God in the spirit, that rejoice in the Lord Jesus
Christ, and we have no confidence in the flesh. Believers do love
God. GOD'S SALVATION. HOW SHOULD WE ESCAPE IF WE NEGLECT
SO GREAT SALVATION? NOW, LET ME GIVE YOU FIVE REASONS
WHY WE LOVE, AS GOD'S PEOPLE, AS THE ELECTED GOD, LET ME GIVE
YOU FIVE REASONS WHY WE LOVE GOD'S SALVATION. I'LL BE BRIEF,
TOO. First of all, believers love
God's salvation because we have experienced it in our heart.
Salvation is a heart work. Salvation is a revelation of
the glory of God that shines in the face of Jesus Christ.
He's commanded the light to shine in our heart. We love God's salvation
because we've experienced that in our heart. Now, an old religious
experience is not salvation, but salvation by the true grace
of God is certainly something we experience in our heart. You see, it's a revelation of
the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Christ in you
is a hope of glory. We love God's salvation because
We have experienced and tasted of the Lord that he is gracious. Hold your place there and turn
back over here to Psalm 34. Psalm 34, look at verse eight. Psalm 34, verse eight. Oh, taste
and see. THAT THE LORD IS GOOD. NOW, WHEN YOU TASTE SOMETHING,
I MEAN, YOU CAN SMELL, YOU CAN SMELL AN AROMA OF FOOD, RIGHT? AND YOU MIGHT GET SOME SORT OF
SENSE AS TO WHAT IT TASTES LIKE, BUT CAN YOU REALLY EXPERIENCE
FOOD WITHOUT TASTING IT, WITHOUT PUTTING IT IN YOUR MOUTH? THAT'S
ONE REASON THE LORD'S GIVEN US TEETH. THAT WE MIGHT CRUNCH THAT
FOOD UP TO ENJOY AND EXPERIENCE THE FLAVOR OF IT, THE SWEETNESS
OF IT. OH, TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD
IS GOOD. WE HAVE TASTED OF HIS GRACE.
WE'VE EXPERIENCED HIS LOVE. WE'VE EXPERIENCED HIS GRACE.
BLESSED IS THAT MAN THAT TRUSTETH IN HIM, O FEAR THE LORD, YE HIS
SAINTS. THERE IS NO WANT TO THEM THAT
FEAR HIM. THE YOUNG LIONS DO LACK AND SUFFER
HUNGER, BUT THEY THAT SEEK THE LORD, THEY SHALL NOT WANT FOR
ANY GOOD THING, BECAUSE WE HAVE CHRIST. WE ARE COMPLETE IN HIM. OF HIS FULLNESS HAVE WE ALL RECEIVED
GRACE FOR GREAT. HERE'S THE SECOND THING. BELIEVERS
LOVE GOD'S SALVATION BECAUSE OF THE METHOD OF IT, THE DESIGN
OF IT, BECAUSE OF THE POWER OF IT. THAT'S WHY PAUL SAID, I'M
NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, FOR IT'S THE POWER OF
GOD UNDER SALVATION TO EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH. THE POWER OF
GOD unto salvation. We love God's salvation because
of the power of it. It's a powerful gospel. What
does it take to save a sinner? The dynamite of God, the power
of God. And we love God's salvation because
the method of it, all of mercy. NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
WHICH WE HAVE DONE, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY. THE METHOD AND
MEANS OF HIS SALVATION WAS DEVISED, PURPOSED BY GOD IN ETERNITY,
ACCOMPLISHED IN TIME WHEN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST CAME AND FULFILLED
ALL THINGS FOR US. WE LOVE THE POWER OF IT, THE
METHOD OF IT, THE MEANS OF IT. GOD PURPOSED FROM ALL ETERNITY
TO HAVE A PEOPLE AND TO REDEEM THEM, BUT HE ALSO ORDAINED NOT
ONLY THE END, BUT THE MEANS TO ARRIVE AT THAT END. IN THE FULLNESS
OF TIME, GOD SENT FORTH HIS SON, MADE OF A WOMAN, MADE UNDER THE
LAW TO REDEEM THEM. SATISFACTION. REMEMBER PASTOR
MAYHAN USED TO SAY, LEARN THOSE TWO WORDS AND YOU'VE LEARNED
THE GOSPEL. SUBSTITUTION, SATISFACTION. OUR SUBSTITUTE MADE COMPLETE
SATISFACTION FOR ALL OUR SIN. THIRDLY, BELIEVERS LOVE GOD'S
SALVATION BECAUSE OF THE CERTAINTY OF IT. THE SURENESS OF IT. THE GLORY OF IT. THE VIRTUE OF
IT. PAUL WRITES THIS IN ROMANS 4,
THEREFORE IT IS OF FAITH that is righteousness revealed, salvation
fulfilled, therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace
to the end that the promise might be sure to all the seed. All the promises of God in him
are yes and in him, amen, and to the glory of God in Christ
Jesus. We love God's salvation because
it's certainly sure. HE SAYS, I GIVE THEM ETERNAL
LIFE AND THEY SHALL NEVER PERISH. THAT WAS DAVID'S HOPE ON HIS
DEATH BED, WASN'T IT? GOD HAD MADE WITH ME AN EVERLASTING
COVENANT, ORDERED ALL THINGS AND ENSURED THIS IS ALL MY HOPE
AND ALL MY SALVATION. BELIEVERS RUN NO RISK IN TRUSTING
CHRIST FOR ALL SALVATION. IS THERE A RISK IN TRUSTING HIM?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. HE IS THE ONLY REFUGE THAT GOD
HAS PROVIDED FOR US. IT SAYS OVER HERE IN PSALM 62,
DON'T TURN, LET ME JUST GET IT FOR YOU. HE ONLY IS MY ROCK AND
MY SALVATION, HE IS MY DEFENSE, I SHALL NOT BE MOVED. IN GOD
IS MY SALVATION, MY GLORY, THE ROCK OF MY STRENGTH, AND MY REFUGE
IS IN GOD. TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, YOU
PEOPLE. POUR OUT YOUR HEART BEFORE HIM. GOD IS A REFUGE FOR US. WE RUN NO RISK TRUSTING CHRIST
WITH ALL OF OUR SALVATION. YOU SEE THERE IS A CERTAINTY
AND SURENESS OF IT BECAUSE HE'S CALLED THE WHAT? THE SURETY OF
THE EVERLASTING COVENANT. HIS COVENANT IS CERTAIN AND SURE
HIS WORD IS SURE WE HAVE A SURE WORD OF PROPHECY. and every promise
of God is sure. Fourthly, we love God's salvation
because of the completeness of it, the perfection of it. He doesn't save us with a partial
righteousness or a partial redemption. He saves us with a complete salvation,
with a complete fullness of redemption. He put away all our sin. HE JUSTIFIED
US FULLY BY HIS GRACE. THE SALVATION THAT IS OF THE
LORD IS A FINISHED SALVATION. NOTHING NEEDS TO BE ADDED. NOTHING REMAINS UNFINISHED. WE'RE ALREADY GLORIFIED IN CHRIST,
SEATED IN THE HEAVENLIES. YOU DON'T NEED TO ADD ANYTHING,
BRING ANYTHING. IT'S ALREADY FINISHED. He's performed
all things for us. He said it is finished. The blessed
Savior did not die to make salvation a possibility if you would meet
certain condition. He died to save and secure and
justify all the elect of God by his mighty purpose and grace. Redemption is accomplished, how? With his blood. Righteousness is established,
how? Through his faithfulness, through
his obedience. Blessed is the man to whom the
Lord imputes righteousness without works. Reconciliation is perfected,
God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself. Now if
he says, we'll reconcile, I reckon it's done, don't you? And regeneration
is final. He saves us with everlasting
salvation. He obtained for us eternal redemption
with his own blood. Here's the last thing in closing. Best of all, save the best for
last. We love God's salvation because
of the Redeemer himself. GOD, OUR SAVIOR. YOU SEE, WE CAN SAY, AS IT'S
RECORDED IN SONG OF SOLOMON, CHAPTER 5, HE IS ALL TOGETHER
LOVELY. HE'S LOVELY. ALL TOGETHER LOVELY. THERE'S NOTHING UNLOVELY ABOUT
THE SAVIOR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, IS THERE? HIS PERSON, OH, HE'S
LOVELY. HIS WORK, HIS OBEDIENCE, HIS
RIGHTEOUSNESS, EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM IS LOVELY. That verse we often quote in
1 Peter 2, to you who believe he is precious, precious. You see, salvation's in a person. I told my neighbor the other
day when he was asking me about what I thought, about salvation,
I told him salvation is not in a profession, salvation is not
in a pool, a place or position, salvation is in a person, the
Lord Jesus Christ. In a person, in a person, Christ
in you is a hope of glory. I've got a scripture written
down here. and let me see if I can find it and read it to
you. Salvation in a person, the Lord Jesus Christ. I will love thee, O Lord, my
strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress,
Psalm 18, my deliverer, my God, my strength in whom I trust,
my buckler and the horn of my salvation and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord who
was worthy to be prayed, so shall I be saved from my enemies. You see, salvation is in a person. John put it this way, he that
hath the Son hath life. He that hath not the Son hath
not life. Surely all those who know Him
and love Him can say, as it says there in the last part of verse
four, Psalm 70, let God be magnified. That's why the song of glory
is worthy of the land that was slain. To receive all honor,
glory, and blessing, both now and forever. I trust you can
say in your heart, by His grace, I love God's salvation. Because
I love Him. We loved Him because He first
loved us.
