Let's turn one more time now
to Genesis chapter 6. I'm entitling the message, The
Ark and the Gospel. The Ark of Noah and the Gospel. Of course we're talking about
The ark of Noah being a type and picture of the gospel of
the Lord Jesus Christ. All those in the ark that day
when the judgment of God fell, all those in the ark were saved. Saved in the ark. All those in
the Lord Jesus Christ when the judgment falls in that last day,
all those in the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. Justified. Now in Genesis chapter 6 through
9, we have the story of the flood. and how God saved Noah and his
family from this horrendous destruction that God sent. It wasn't Mother
Nature now. This was God Almighty sent this
flood and God saved them by preparing this ark and putting them in
the ark. We see the righteous judgment
of God against sin. We see that in that story, don't
we? These folks were wicked. They got just what they deserve.
We see the righteous judgment of God against sin, but we also
see the mercy of God revealed Through Christ. The Ark of God
is a fit picture and pattern how God is pleased to save sinners
and justify them in Christ. Look yonder out there on the
floodwaters of judgment. Look yonder out there. What is
that? A boat. Who's in there? Noah and his family. How'd they
get in there? God put them in. God shut the
door. You see, the judgment of the
young godly sinner on that day was a holy act of God against
sin, right? The soul that sinned shall surely
die. And the salvation of Noah and
his family was an act of sovereign mercy. Sovereign mercy, there
you go, right in the beginning. God will have mercy on whom he
will. It is of the Lord's mercies that we're not consumed. In our
story here in Genesis, God sovereignly showed mercy to some and justly
left others to perish in their sin. He said, I will have mercy
on whom I will have mercy. Now in Genesis chapter 6, we
see a problem, a big problem. In Genesis chapter 6 verse 5,
6 and 7. Let's read these verses one more
time. We see a problem. Sin entered in. God saw that
the wickedness of man was great in the earth. And every imagination,
every purpose, every desire, the whole imagination of the
thoughts of his heart was just only evil, evil continually,
morning, evening. He thought evil, he did evil,
he acted out evil. And it says in verse 6 that it
repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth. Sin grieved
him in his heart. God is holy, cannot look upon
sin with favor. And the Lord said, I will destroy
man whom I've created from the face of the earth, both man and
beast, creeping things, fowls of the air, for it repented me,
grieved me, that I've made them. Sin is a horrible thing in the
sight of God. It might look okay in our eyes,
but in the sight of God, God saw that all men everywhere are
evil continually. Now turn to, hold your place
there, turn to another scripture, find Psalm 14. Psalm 14, you
hold Genesis 6, we're coming back there, We clearly see the
effect of Adam's sin against God. It not only affected Adam
and Eve and their sons and their children, Cain and Abel, but
affected all men that were born of Adam, in Adam all sin. And God sees our totally depraved,
sinful condition. Psalm 14, the fool has said in
his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt. They have done
abominable works. There is none that doeth good.
Says over in Romans, no, not one. The Lord looked down from
heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that
did understand, that there were any that seek God. They're all
gone aside. They're all together become filthy.
There is none that doeth good. No, not one. You know who he's talking about?
Talking about you. He's talking about me. God sees
us just as we are in the flesh in Adam. All have sinned and
come short of the glory of God. Because God is most holy, He
cannot look upon sin and is not indifferent to sin. God cannot
look on sin with favor. Therefore it says, it repented
the Lord that grieved him in his heart over what happened
in the garden. When Adam rebelled against God, when Adam sinned
against God, To see his perfectly created man in such a sad and
sinful and horrible state, it says here, it grieved him in
his heart. Sin is a grievous thing. You
know why? Because sin is against God. Against
thee, David says, and thee only have I sinned. It says here in
the text that he starts toward His creation, the thoughts of
God toward His creation changed. Now it doesn't mean that God
changed in His essential character, because God cannot change, can
He? But His thoughts toward His creation
had changed. God didn't create man a sinner,
He created him upright and holy. And he became a sinner when Adam
sinned against God. And because of this sin, God
was determined to justly destroy what he had made because sin
defiled it. In chapter 6, look at verse 12. God looked upon the earth, and
behold, it was corrupt. For all flesh had corrupted his
way upon the earth. And God said to Noah, The end
of all flesh has come before me. The earth is filled with
violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them from
the face of the earth. Look at verse 4 in chapter 7. God said, yet seven days I'll
cause it to rain upon the earth, forty days and forty nights,
and every living substance that I've made will I destroy from
off the face of the earth. And Noah did according to all
that the Lord had commanded him. It keeps saying this over and
over and over and over again. Look at verse 23. Verse 22 says,
"...all in whose nostrils was the breath of life, and all that
was in the dry land died. Only Noah and his family remained
alive, and the waters of God's judgment prevailed." Prevailed. All flesh died. All those outside
the ark of Noah perished. Right? Justly. Right? Here's the second point,
look at verse 8, Genesis 6 verse 8, and here's a big word in scripture,
B-U-T, but Noah. But, you mean there's an exception,
but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah found God's
favor, sovereign mercy. These are the generations of
Noah, verse 9. Noah was a just man, perfect
in his generation. Noah walked with God. He had
fellowship with God. He had communion with God. Noah
found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Here's the grace solution. First time this word grace is
used in the Bible is right here. Noah found grace in the eyes
of the Lord. This is how God saved the first
sinner, by His grace. And this is how God will save
the last sinner, by His grace. For we read in Scripture, many
Scriptures, but one I know you're familiar with, for by grace are
you saved. through faith, and that's not
of yourselves, it's a gift of God, not of worthless any man
should boast. You see, Noah had the same fallen
nature as the rest of mankind did in his day, or he would not
have needed grace, would he? He did not earn grace. He did
not merit grace. He found that God is gracious
in His character, that He delights to show mercy to sinners. And
what we read about in verse 9 is the fruit of God's grace, the
results of salvation through Christ. He was justified freely
by God's grace through the redemption that is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Look what it says in verse 9 again, Noah was a just man. Now, was
he justified by his deeds? Was he justified by his works?
No, he was a sinner. He was justified in Christ. How do I know that? When God
speaks of him over in 2 Peter chapter 2, the Lord calls him
a preacher of righteousness. We read that in our Bible study
this morning. Noel was justified through the
grace of God, through the redeeming blood of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and he was perfect in his day. Now how can a sinner be found
perfect in his day? Only in Christ who is our righteousness. Christ who is our holiness. And
Noah had communion with God. Noah walked with God. How can
this sinner have any communion with God who is holy? How can
this sinner walk with God? Only in Christ. Through union
with the Lord Jesus Christ. You see, we're justified freely
by His grace. Now, I want you to turn again
to Hebrews chapter 11. We looked at this verse this
morning in our Bible study, but I want all of you to see it this
morning. Hebrews chapter 11. You see, we're justified freely
by His grace. It's God who saved us and called
us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to
God's own purpose and grace. He saved us, and He called us
with a holy calling, giving us in Christ before the foundation
of the world. Now, Hebrews 11, look at verse
7. Now, you know that the content
of this chapter 11, it's all about faith. In verse 7, it talks
about Noah. By faith, Noah being warned of
God of things not seen as yet, he moved. Why? He was warned
of God. He moved. He moved with fear
and he prepared an ark to the saving of his house by which
he condemned the world and became, watch it, an heir of righteousness
by faith. He wasn't an heir of righteousness
by works. He was not justified because
he built a boat. He was justified in the Lord
Jesus Christ and because he was justified he obeyed God. justified
freely by God's grace. Now turn to another scripture,
turn to Romans chapter 4. Noah was justified and perfect
in Christ. Look at Romans chapter 4. Noah
enjoyed the same blessed righteousness that believers today enjoy. The
Lord our righteousness. Christ is our righteousness.
Look at Romans chapter 4 verse 1. What shall we say then, that
Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For
if Abraham were justified by works, he were of the glory,
but not before God. For what saith the Scripture?
Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is reward,
not reckoning of grace, but of death. But to him that worketh
not, you see, Noah believed God. It was counted to him for righteousness.
Abraham believed God. But now to him that worketh not,
but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted
for righteousness. Even as David also described
it, the blessedness of the man whom the Lord imputes righteousness
without work, saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are
forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whom the Lord
will not impute, charge your sin. Can you think of that? Can
you imagine that? To have God impute and charge
to you a perfect, justifying righteousness, and then He says
He will not charge you with sin? He's describing every believer
just like Noah was justified by faith, looking to the Lord
Jesus Christ. Now, thirdly, we see the means
of grace. The means of grace, the provisions
of grace. Look back at Genesis chapter
six, verse 14. God said, make thee an ark. of gopher wood, a certain particular
wood, not balsa wood, not pine wood, gopher wood. Room shalt thou make in the ark,
thou shalt pitch it within and without with pitch." Now this
is significant, underline that word pitch. And this is the fashion
which thou shalt make of it. The length of the ark shall be
three hundred cubits. I'll tell you what that is in
just a minute. The breadth thereof fifty cubits, the height thirty
cubits. A window shalt thou make to the
ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish
it above. And the door of the ark shalt
thou set in the side thereof, with lower, second, third storeys
shalt thou make the ark, as I have commanded you to do so." The
ark here, with its specific details, I mean the wood, the size, How
many windows? How many doors? Everything was
designed and decreed by God, right? And the ark here is a
great picture of Christ our Savior. There was in that day just one
ark provided, right? Other folks weren't out building
ships. They had no interest because it had never rained. They had
no need of ships. There was just one ark provided,
built to the exact plan of God. Use gopher wood, special wood. Who provided the wood? Who made
the wood? Well, God did. Make the size
of the ship, make it 450 feet long, make it 75 feet wide, 45
feet high. An exact dimension because God
has an exact detail for everyone whom He's going to save. And
then he said, to pitch it within and without, that is, seal up
the wood, the joints of the wood. Now that word, you see it, P-I-T-C-H. It's translated in other places. You know what it's translated?
Look it up. Atonement. Now isn't that interesting? The
Lord Jesus Christ is our atonement. In Exodus 29, 33, the exact same
word is used, atonement. Christ is our atonement. This ark had one door, had one
window, didn't it? All of this is preaching the
gospel unto us. You see it? The Lord Jesus Christ
is the only provided refuge from the storm of God's wrath. There's
just one way of salvation. There's salvation in no other.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation. There
is just one Savior. And it's Christ, the Lord Jesus
Christ. The Lord said, I am the way,
the truth, the life. No man come to the Father but
by and through me. Neither is there salvation in
any other. There's just one way of salvation. And that one way is Christ. There's
one Ark, one Savior. Secondly, the Lord Jesus Christ
is the only door into that salvation. There was one door. Every animal,
clean or unclean, came through that door. Every sinner that
God saved by His grace went through that door. And my friend, it's
no mistake that the Lord Jesus Christ said, I am the door. By
me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved. There's just one door. Christ is the door of salvation. There was only one window in
that ark. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only window of light.
He said in John chapter 12, I am the light of life. The glory
of God shines in the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ
is the only window of light that it will enlighten our heart that
we might see that salvation is in Christ. Something else, the
ark safely kept all those within. It was sealed up. And believers
are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise and they are safe
and secure in the Lord Jesus Christ. They're covered with
pitch. We're covered with His blood that makes atonement for
our soul. Christ is our security from all
harm. We are pitched in Him, we're
covered in Him, inside and out. The Lord Jesus Christ made complete
atonement for all of our sin, not some of them, all of them. He appeared once in the end of
the age to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. The ark was sufficient to save
all those within the ark. All those that went in that ark
came out of that ark when the flood was over, when the judgment
waters were pushed back by the command of God. All those that
were put in that ark were safe, and they came out safe when the
flood was over. The ark was sufficient to save
all those within the ark, and the Lord Jesus Christ is the
only sufficient Savior. You'll never perish under the
judgment and wrath of God looking to, resting in, and coming to
the Lord Jesus Christ. Come to Him right now. Come to
Him in your heart. Come to Christ and don't move
a muscle. Look to Him. You see, there's just one ark
in that day, and the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Savior from
the judgment of God. As a matter of fact, the Lord
Jesus Christ took our judgment for us. Here's the third point. We see a covenant of grace. Look
at verse 18. Genesis 6 verse 18, but Noah
found grace in the eyes of the Lord it says in verse 8 and then
in verse 18 Here we see this word again, but But with thee
you see that It doesn't say but with all mankind I'm gonna make
a covenant You see at the particular covenant It's a definite covenant
made with Noah and his family. But with thee will I establish
my covenant, thou shalt come into the ark your sons, your
wife, your sons' wives with thee. A covenant of grace. A covenant
of grace. You see, our God, the God of
Scripture, is a covenant God. The mercy that Noah and his family
experienced that day was because Noah built an ark. Wait a minute,
preacher. Now, I snuck up on you there.
The mercy that Noah received that day was because of that
covenant of grace. His building the ark had nothing
to do with it. It was a covenant of grace. Our
God is a covenant God, the mercy that God showed to Noah and his
family that day because of this covenant right here. But with
thee I will establish my covenant. You'll come into the ark, thou
shalt come into... Lord, how do you know that? How
did he know that? Because of my covenant. You see,
this was a covenant call. This was the covenant of grace.
And this is what it pictures. God determined to save Noah,
and watch this, the covenant was made with Noah before the
floodwaters, before it started raining, God already had that covenant
with Noah. God determined to save Noah and his family before
the flood of wrath came, right? What is that a picture of? God
in Christ has made an eternal covenant of mercy in which God
from all eternity had determined to save and to bless a multitude
of sinners based upon that covenant. That covenant of grace is called
the everlasting covenant. You see, before there was a sinner,
there was a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He's called the
Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Before Adam fell
into sin and rebellion against God, the Lord Jesus Christ stood
as a surety of that eternal covenant. That's right. You see, the Lord
Jesus Christ is called the surety of the everlasting covenant. That means He's the guarantee
of it. This surety, this covenant is
going to work because the Lord Jesus Christ ever lives to make
it certain and sure. The Lord Jesus Christ is not
only the surety of the covenant, Hebrews 7.22, but He's also called
the mediator of the covenant. The Mediator of the Covenant.
He's called, in Hebrews 8, 6, He's the Mediator of a better
covenant established upon better promises. This covenant of grace
is going to get the job done. who is the surety of the covenant.
He's the mediator of the covenant. There's one God and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. It's not God and
man now. God and men. See, this covenant
is not with all men. This covenant is with Christ
and those in Him. Thirdly, this covenant of grace,
the Lord Jesus Christ is the surety of the covenant, the mediator
of the covenant, and my friend, He's the sacrifice of the covenant.
Sacrifice him he took all the wrath and judgment of God for
the sin of God's people fell upon him and us in Him. And by the sacrifice of Himself,
the Lord Jesus Christ, not with the blood of bulls and goats,
but with His own blood, He put away our sin and obtained eternal
redemption for us with His own blood. He is the sacrifice of
that covenant. His blood was not shed in vain.
Everyone for whom the Lord Jesus Christ shed His blood, He justified
them. He didn't justify all men, He
justified all His elect. The Lord Jesus Christ is the
Lord of that covenant. He said, I'm He that liveth and
was dead, behold I'm alive forevermore, I have the keys of hell and death.
He's Lord of this covenant. He said, all power is given to
me in heaven and earth. He said, I will have mercy on
whom I will have mercy. I'll give eternal life to as
many as thou hast given to me. This covenant of grace is ordered
in all things and sure But with thee will I establish my covenant. You see, God said, I will be
their God. You remember Jeremiah 32? I will
be their God and they shall be my people. I will not depart
from them and they will not depart from me. That's covenant language. I like that, don't you? You mean
to tell me that all of my salvation is based upon that covenant fulfilled
in Christ and I have nothing to do with salvation, whatever? That's exactly what I'm saying.
That's good news to me. Because I cannot produce one
ounce of righteousness to satisfy God. Matter of fact, the best
I have, God said, is vanity away with its filthy rags. I like
what David said about this covenant. He has made with me an everlasting
covenant, ordered in all things, and is sure, certain, it gets
the job done. Covenant mercies. Aren't you
glad that salvation is based upon
that covenant of grace? Now here's the fifth thing. Now
get a hold of this. Grab a hold of your seat now.
Going to jump the creek now. Get a hold of your seat. Chapter
7, verse 1. Here we see the call of the covenant
of grace. You see chapter 7 verse 1, the
call of the covenant. And the Lord said unto Noah. He knew his name. You see this
covenant call of grace is personal. The Lord knows his sheep by name
and he calls them out. Matthew, follow me. Zacchaeus,
make haste and come down. You're one of mine. You see,
it's a personal call. The Lord said unto Noah, well,
Noah, if you want to, and if you think maybe it'd be okay,
why don't you come in the ark? It might be good. I mean, did
God stand there that day and beg him to come in? Noah, please
come up, please let me do this for you. You see, God's not a
beggar. What did it say there? And the
Lord said to Noah, come thou into the ark, into the house,
all thy house into the ark, for I've seen thee, I've seen righteousness
before me in this generation. Look at verse 5. And Noah did
according to all that the Lord commanded him. says in verse
16 male and female all flesh as God had commanded all perish
and the Lord shut him in verse 15 and they went in unto the
ark unto the under Noah into the ark. They went in because
they were called. Even the animals were called.
Noah and his family were called by the almighty irresistible
call of God. Come thou into the ark. Did Noah have an option to stay
out? Absolutely not. Come thou, Noah,
into the ark. And he came. It was not an invitation,
was it? It was a command. Come thou and
all thy house, for I have seen righteousness before me. Uh-oh. What is this? I have seen righteousness before
me in this generation. How did God see Noah righteous? Because of this covenant of grace.
Because God saw Noah in Christ. And blessed him with that righteousness
that we have in the Lord Jesus Christ. He looked upon Noah and
his family justified in Christ. We read just a moment ago in
Hebrews 11 verse 7, He was an heir of righteousness by faith. Where did he get that faith?
Noah by nature was an unbeliever, just like you and I. Loving darkness,
hating God, hating light. It's God that made him to differ.
He was an heir of righteousness by faith. God gave him faith.
And this is exactly the same way God irresistibly calls out
his elect through the preaching of the gospel. Noah was called
a preacher of righteousness. He was a preacher of Christ. And the Lord calls His people
irresistibly with the preaching of the gospel. Come to Christ. Come to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Look to Him. The call of the gospel in the
hand of the Holy Spirit is not a mere invitation. When the gospel
call comes to the heart of the sinner, it comes as a command,
look to Christ. It doesn't come as an invitation.
It comes as a command. That's why I don't stand down
here at the end of the service and sing 15 verses of Just As
I Am and invite you to come forward and make a decision. That's Tommy
Rock. Show me that in the Bible. Not
there. I preach the gospel as God says to preach it. Every
sinner is commanded by His grace and those who are called by His
grace, they do come into the ark. because they're called by
God. When the gospel comes to the
heart of the sinner, it comes as a command to look to Him.
This call reveals Christ to our heart, to our heart. Come thou into the ark, come
to Christ. Our Lord said in Matthew 11,
come unto me, all you that are laboring and heavy laden, I'll
give you rest. For in Christ He calls us, now
watch this, He calls us because we are made righteous already
in Christ. He doesn't call us to make us
righteous, He calls us because we're already justified in Christ.
And because we're justified in Christ, because He bought us
with His own blood, He said, you're mine, I've redeemed you,
and I'm gonna call you, I'm gonna have you, I'm gonna keep you
by my grace. This calling of God with the
gospel is called a holy calling. This calling of God is called
a high calling. Philippians chapter 3, I press
toward the mark of the prize of high calling of God in Christ. This calling of God is also called
a heavenly calling. A holy calling, a high calling,
a heavenly calling. You see it's God calling his
people, my sheep they My sheep, they hear my voice. It's the voice of God. Not the
voice of a preacher. It's the voice of God speaking
through His Word, by His Spirit, through His servant. It's a holy
calling, it's a high calling, it's a heavenly calling. Listen
to this verse, Hebrews 3.1, Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the
heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high preacher of
our profession, the Lord Jesus Christ. When God calls you, you'll
consider him as altogether lovely. This also is a personal call. Noah was called and his family. Noah's wife, I don't know her
name, It may be in Scripture somewhere, but I don't know what
Noah's wife's name or the other three women that were married
to the sons of Noah, but God knew them and He called them
by name. You see, the foundation of God
standing sure, having a seal, the Lord knoweth them that are
His. And this call of grace, this
covenant call, is effectual and irresistible. Noah couldn't resist. Why? Because it was a call of
God. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power. Now listen to this. Noah wasn't
called to survey the ark. Noah wasn't called to inspect
the ark. Noah was called to come into
the ark. Salvation is in the Lord Jesus
Christ. Count everything else lost, ruined,
dung. Don't go out and build your own
boat. It won't float. It won't float. The refuge of
life, God said, I'll sweep away. Now here's the last thing. The ark of God, the ark of Noah,
the ark of God brought all safely through the flood. All those
in the ark were delivered. All those outside the ark perished. Is that right? That's what it
says. Read it again. Read it over and
over again. All flesh perished outside. Look at verse 23. Noah only remained
alive, and they that were with him in the ark, everything outside
that ark perished. Now listen to me. Where was the
love of God that day revealed? Where was the love of God that
day revealed? Where was the mercy of God and
the grace of God revealed that day? In the ark, right? Where is the love of God revealed
today? In the Lord Jesus Christ. It
says that in Romans 9. The love of God is revealed in
the Lord Jesus Christ. Someone said, Do you suppose
on the back of that ark that day, that great ship, there was
a bumper sticker that said, smile, God loves you. You see those bumper stickers
today on the back of cars, don't you? Smile, God loves you. The love of God in the Lord Jesus
Christ. You see, everything outside of
that ark was wrath, judgment, condemnation. Everything outside
of the Lord Jesus Christ is judgment, wrath, and condemnation. There
was not a bumper sticker on the back of that ark that day that
said, smile, God loves you. No, the love of God was in the
ark. Now, I'm making fun, but I'm making a point. There is
no such thing as universal love. That's just universal nonsense.
Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated. God hates all the workers
of iniquity. Outside of Christ there's nothing
but judgment, wrath, and eternal condemnation. In Christ there
is therefore now no condemnation. He that believeth on the Son
hath life, he that believeth not the Son shall not see life,
but the wrath of God abides upon him. Now listen to this, I'm
almost through. Did Noah's safety that day and
his security that day, did it depend upon Noah's ability to
float that boat? He was absolutely passive. He was not a sailor, as far as
I know. He was not a shipbuilder. He
was a sinner totally depending upon the ark for his salvation. And this sinner, by the grace
of God, I'm going to, by his grace, totally depend upon the
Lord Jesus Christ for all of my salvation. Not some of it,
all of it. He's my wisdom. He's my righteousness. He's my sanctification. And He
is my Redeemer. He is my redemption. Our security
and salvation is totally vested, resting upon the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you understand that. Our
salvation is not conditioned upon our character and our conduct. Noah was just and perfect, but
do you know what Noah did when he got down off that boat? He built a vineyard and got drunk.
Do you reckon he lost his salvation? No. God justified him by his
grace. Now, I'm not promoting drunkenness,
but You see, the salvation that Noah enjoyed was not dependent
upon his character or his conduct. It was based upon Christ, justified
in Christ. He justified the ungodly. Noah
was an ungodly sinner justified in Christ. That's me. I'm a sinner,
saved by the grace of God. Is that you? Yeah, it's by the grace of God
alone, isn't it? Salvation is all by His grace. Noah's salvation
that day didn't depend upon his righteousness either. He didn't
have any. He was just as ungodly and wicked as all the rest of
the men who perished, but God made him to differ. Now, Noah's
salvation didn't depend upon his faithfulness either. It depended
upon the faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ. What about you? Are you trying
to build a boat? It won't float. God won't have
it. God won't have it. Are you in
the ark? Are you in Christ? Are you resting
in the Lord Jesus Christ for all of salvation? Did you notice
this too? I forgot to get to this point
on the security of Noah God commanded him to come in and the Lord shut
him in. He couldn't get out. Not that
he wanted out, but he couldn't get out. God shut him up to Christ
alone. Has God shut you up to Christ
alone, faith alone, grace alone? I hope so. Look to Christ. Salvation's in him. Oh, may God
call you by his grace. He calls you to look to the Lord
Jesus Christ.
