We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; - 2 Thessalonians 1:3
I understand that a true child of God does not covet glory and honor for himself for the deeds that he does for others. We know we receive every thing from our Heavenly Father, and he must receive the glory. Sometimes, we even cringe when someone recognizes us or gives us a heartfelt “Thank you.”
When I say “I thank you,” I truly thank you! I appreciate you and the expression of love you have shown. There is an unspoken understanding among the family of God when we say “Thank you,” that without him we would have nothing and could do nothing. He alone is ultimately worthy of praise and thanksgiving. Therefore, with this understanding, it is always good to convey our gratitude to others for their kindness with a hardy thank you! How rude it would be to never say Thank you!
Having said all of that, Robin and I Thank you, thank you, thank you.We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet.
