How do we know Christ is sufficient for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sufficiency for salvation is affirmed in scripture, showing that no additional works are needed beyond faith in Him.

Ephesians 2:8-9 teaches that we are saved by grace through faith and not of works, making it clear that human effort cannot contribute to salvation. This principle is further embodied in Mary's anointing of Christ, which illustrated her belief that Christ alone was enough for her salvation and security. She recognized that all her hope rested on Him, just as every believer must. If we attempt to add our works to Christ, we undermine His sufficiency. By trusting solely in Christ's finished work, we affirm that He meets every need for salvation and redemption.
