How do we know Christ's atonement is sufficient for salvation?

Answered in 20 sources

Christ's atonement is sufficient because He purchased the redemption of His people with His own blood, accomplishing everything needed for salvation.

The sufficiency of Christ's atonement is firmly rooted in the belief that He fully satisfied God's justice on behalf of His elect. Christ's death was not a weak or incomplete sacrifice; rather, it was perfect and fully accepted by God. Hebrews states that Christ offered one sacrifice for sins and sat down, indicating that His work was complete. All whom the Father gives to the Son will come to Him, showing Christ's redemptive work is effective and guarantees the salvation of His people. This ensures that the atonement does not merely offer a possibility of salvation but accomplishes actual redemption for all His chosen ones.
