How do we know that Christ is the end of the law?

Answered in 5 sources

The New Testament affirms that Christ is the fulfillment and end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 10:4 states, 'For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.' This signifies that the law's purpose was to ultimately direct us to Christ, who provides the righteousness that the law requires. The law cannot justify or save us; only faith in Jesus can do that. Therefore, understanding Christ as the end of the law highlights His role in bringing believers into a new covenant of grace, freeing them from the demands of the law and inviting them instead to embrace salvation through faith.
