How do we know we are complete in Christ?

Answered in 15 sources

We know we are complete in Christ because in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead, and we are made complete through our union with Him.

Colossians 2:9-10 states that in Christ, the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily, and we are complete in Him. This completeness is a theological cornerstone of the believer's identity; it signifies that through faith in Christ, we lack nothing regarding salvation, justification, and sanctification. Our union with Him affirms that all spiritual blessings and provisions are found in Him, thus enabling us to pursue holiness and good works as a response to His grace, not as a means of earning our standing before God.
