Why is it important for Christians to remember God's benefits?

Answered in 5 sources

Remembering God's benefits fills our hearts with gratitude and strengthens our faith (Psalm 103:2).

Christians are called to remind themselves constantly of God's benefits, as doing so leads to deep gratitude and joy. Psalm 103:2 encourages us to 'Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.' When we recall God’s mercies, including His forgiveness, His love, and His provision, we are drawn closer to Him and encouraged in our faith. Recognizing these blessings transforms our perspective, allowing us to navigate life's difficulties with hope and praise. A heart filled with gratitude manifests itself in worship and a life that seeks to glorify God.
