Now if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His (Rom.8:9).
Do you have the Spirit of Christ? Are you led by the Holy Spirit?
What does it mean to 'have the Spirit', to 'walk in the Spirit', to be 'led of the Spirit'? All this must be true of you if you are a true child of God.

But I thought of this and said,
Will you pray? If you pray, holy manna will
come down. Well, God sent manna without
them asking. It was coming down. The sinners, as if they were,
they got tired of it. But He said, Open your mouths, I'll
fill it. The Lord is good. In Romans 8, Romans 8, it says
in verse 9, the last part of verse 9, If any man have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. He is not God's Son. He is not Christ's disciple.
Verse 14, As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God. And as I read that for myself,
I said, I want to know. I want to know. I want some assurance
that I am a child of God. I need to know. Am I led of His
Spirit? Do I walk in the Spirit? Do I have the Spirit of God,
the Spirit of Christ? If not, I'm not His. That's how
serious this is. John said we may know. The Apostle
John said, Hereby we may know that we dwell in Him and He in
us, because He hath given us of His Spirit. So we can know that. And then
verse 1 says this blessed promise, There is therefore now, right
now, no condemnation. No judgment, no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh,
but after the spirit. There is no condemnation. There
is no judgment. The world is condemned. Have you ever seen an old dilapidated
building with a sign out front that says condemned? yellow tape
all around the sign, don't come near, it's not fit for habitation
anymore, this building is condemned, it's going to be torn down. Well,
that's the sign that God has on this world. That's a fact. He said that. Things are kept in store, reserved
under fire against the day of judgment. The world, most people
in the world, doesn't Most people think they know John 3.16, but they don't have a clue what
verses follow it. They don't have a clue. John
3.17 and 18 say this, God sent not His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
He that believeth on Him is not condemned. He that believeth
on Christ is not condemned. There is therefore now no condemnation
to whom? Believers in Christ. Those in
Christ. What does that mean? We need
to know, don't we? But he that believeth not is
condemned already under the condemnation of God. In the last verse of
John 3, even fewer people know, the wrath of God abides upon
unbelievers. Not the love of God. The wrath
of God. But those in Christ, that's who I hope I'm speaking
to this morning, there is therefore now no condemnation. No condemnation
to them that are in Christ. They're in the ark. No condemnation. To those, he said, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Now, this is not a condition,
or that is, if you do this, therefore you're not condemned. No, no,
no. This is the result of being in Christ. It's not saying if
you walk right, then you'll be spared the judgment. No, this
is meaningful. Those that are in Christ do walk
according to the Spirit, are led by the Spirit of God. All
right, what does that mean, though? I want to know, am I led, do
I walk after the Spirit, or am I walking after the flesh? Am
I led by the Spirit? Is the Spirit of God, the Spirit
of Christ dwelling in me? He says, if He's not, you're
not one of His. All right, the first thing that
the Holy Spirit does, and our Lord said this in John 16. He said, when He has come, the
Spirit, the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, He said he will convince
the world, convict the world, not every person in the world,
though everyone hears the truth with these ears, though everyone
plainly sees what it says, but they don't believe it. But he
will convince a people out of every tribe, kindred, nation,
and tongue under heaven of sin. First time. Of righteousness. But you don't have one. But there's
only one. And Christ has it. Of judgment. Because there is a judgment.
And all men must face it. But not if you're in Christ. He will convince them. He will
convict His people. of sin, of righteousness and
judgment. He will convince, he will convict
his people out of the world of the exceeding sinfulness of sin. This whole book of Romans, that's
what it talks about. Sin and its remedy. Sin. What the consequences have
brought upon it. Sin. Death. Ruin. Condemnation. By one man, sin
entered into the world. And death by sin. Condemnation
passed upon all men. By one man. But by one man's
obedience. Lot and Sodom. Lot was called
a righteous man, wasn't he? Lot. Scripture says that righteous
man. He lived in Sodom. How do you
know he's a righteous man? By looking at him all the time,
you couldn't tell it. You wonder why he was there,
don't you? But he was. And the Lord called him a righteous
man. What distinguished him from the Sodomites? It says he vexed
his righteous soul with all that was going on around him. It vexed
him. What then? Sin. It vexed him. He was like
a fish out of water. He was like a man living in a
place he didn't belong. Does sin affect you like that? People, we're living in Sodom,
aren't we? Sodom, this whole world is now as Sodom. This whole
world is as in the days of Noah. Look at verse 20 of Romans 8. Our Lord, according to His purpose,
the creature... At 20, the whole creation was
subject to vanity. That is, vanity of vanity. All
flesh is vanity. Everything in this world, every
person in this world, every man in his best state is altogether
vanity. Everything in this world, everything
about this world, It's vanity. What's that mean? It's empty.
It doesn't satisfy. It's deceitful. It deceives you. It's not real.
It's not lasting. It doesn't give you happiness.
It won't do anything for you. You live for it, and you're living
for dead things, and you'll die. That's what he said. You'll die
if that's what you're living for. You're living for dead things. There's life and peace and joy
and eternal happiness and blessing, not in things that are saved,
but things that are not saved. I'm getting way ahead of myself.
But in verse 20, read on, it says, by reason of him, the Lord, sin entered this world. Verse
21, and the creation itself shall be delivered from the bondage
of corruption. corruption into the glorious
liberty of the sons of God. I want to free, God says, I want
to free a people from this cesspool of iniquity. And the first thing
I want to do is make them hate this place. Like Lot want out. Lot was standing
in the gate of Sodom like he wanted out. What was he doing
in the gate? I think he's looking Let me out. Lord, come get me.
That's exactly what he was doing. What did the Lord do, Kelly?
He came and got him. The Lord being merciful to him. Grabbed him. He's coming out.
And I'm going to perish with the rest of them. How could anybody
hate sovereign grace, sovereign mercy? We'd love Sodom if he
didn't. If he didn't lay hold of us. Look at verse 20. Two, we know
the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain. Some of us
were talking the other night about the animals, what the animals
suffer at the hands of mankind. When God said, subdue the earth,
He didn't say bring it under terrible, cruel bondage and inhumane
act. He didn't say that. But men do,
don't they? The whole earth groans. Well, you know who else groans?
New creatures in Christ. The animals are innocent. The
animals don't have sin. Verse 22, "...not only they,
but we ourselves also that have the firstfruits of the Spirit."
You see that? The fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, gentleness,
goodness, meekness. We ourselves groan within ourselves. What for? Waiting. For what?
Adoption. Getting out of here. Have you
groaned within yourself? This is what the Spirit does.
The first thing the Holy Spirit does. Vexes you with Sodom. The world doesn't hate the world.
The world loves the world. The world doesn't want to have
this world. I want to stay here forever. What about you? This is the first thing. He that
hath not the Spirit, none of his. They're not of the world,
our Lord said. They're like me. I want out of here. Not just
to get out of trouble. No, no, no, no. But to be with
Him. To be like Him. Now here's the
second thing. Not only are we vexed by the
sin all around us, but the thing that vexes us most, the thing
the Holy Spirit does is vexes us with a sin that's within us.
Look at chapter 7. You know why I said, therefore?
Because of chapter 7. Chapter 7 of Romans. You know
it. In verse 21. I find a rule in me, a law in
me when I would do good, evil is present with me. Verse 24,
O wretched man that I am. Lot was not only vexed with all
around him, he was vexed with what was in him. What made me
come here? What made me want to be here?
Why did I stray with Abraham? How did I leave? Am I attached
to this place? That's what Lot was thinking.
Oh, wretched man that I am. That's what Paul said. Who shall
deliver me? Evil that's in me. The Holy Spirit
convicts every one of his people of the exceeding sinfulness of
sin in this world and the exceeding sinfulness of sin in ourselves. Oh, wretched man that I am. My
loins, David said, are filled with a loathsome disease. They
go over my head. They stink. My sin is ever before
me, David said. The Holy Spirit does this for
every single child of God. Despair of themselves. They begin
to hate themselves. In Ezekiel 36, when the Lord
said, I'll give them a new heart. I'll give them a new spirit.
And he said, what you're going to do when I give you this new
heart and this new spirit is you're going to loathe yourself.
You're going to hate yourself. And it causes them all to cry
out like Paul did, like we just read, O wretched man that I am,
who shall deliver me? I need deliverance from this
world. I need deliverance from this
man. Deliver us from the evil one. Who has us in bondage? Deliver us from this evil man
within me who is going to destroy me. Who shall deliver me? And
the Holy Spirit says, look, the Deliverer. Jesus Christ. That's what this
whole book is about. Deliverance for the captive.
Deliverance for sinners. Forgiveness of sin. Pardon. Peace. Life. from the dead, light for
those that sit in darkness. That's what this book is about.
Rather, who? Who shall deliver me from sin? Christ said, I am
come to put away sin. Who shall deliver me from this
present evil world? He said, I go to prepare a place
for you. I'll come again to receive you to myself. Who shall deliver
me from me? He said, I thank God. through Jesus
Christ our Lord. I thank God. Down in verse 2 says the law,
the rule of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
have made me, that is those in Christ, whoever is in Christ,
whoever trusts Christ, free from this rule of sin and death. He said sin will not have dominion
over you. I wouldn't believe it if he hadn't
said it. But he said, he will not have dominion over me. And
death, he said, this rule of death, he that liveth and believeth
in me will never die. He who cannot lie said, you'll
never die. You believe in me? We're going
to lay your body in the grave someday, but that's just a shell.
That's not you. You're going to be absent from
that body of death will be present in me. deliver you. But the rest of the world, they're
going to die like dogs. Die like dogs. This is all they
have. It's all they have. And they get a lot of it. But
you bless God, He shows you His vanity. He shows you the unsearchable
riches of Christ. He shows you that this is not
anything at all. It's all a soap bubble. It's
all an illusion. It's all a deception. It's all
a satanic illusion. And yes, it is. You know, the
God of this world has blinded the minds of the people of this
world that they say what I'm saying, what we're saying and
believing is the doctrine of death. They say this is foolishness,
don't they? The world says what we believe
is foolishness. They're calling Jesus Christ
a liar. Who are you going to believe? That's what Peter said.
Who are we going to believe? Who are you going to trust? Are
you going to trust the Word of Man or God? Every fool has come
and gone, but the Word of God remains. Now, trust the Lord. If you do,
it's not of yourself. The Spirit dwells in you. The
Holy Spirit dwells in you. See, this is what the Holy Spirit
does. It's not like people that don't have the Holy Spirit make
up all sorts of things about the Holy Spirit. We looked at
Babel this morning. Babble. And it's no coincidence
that religion is full of babble. Let there speak. Oh, he's filled
with a spirit. He's filled with a spirit, all
right. It's not the spirit of God. Babbling fools babble. When God fills people with his
spirit, he makes them talk about Christ. Not talk like a bloomin' idiot.
Babble. You may close them in their right
mind and their right speech. Well, where am I? Oh, chapter 8, verse 2 says that
He's made us free. The Spirit of life has come to
set us free from the rule of sin and of death. Verse 3, what
the law could not do, it was weak through the flesh. We can't
keep the law. People that think they can keep
the law are ignorant. They don't know the law. And
we ought to feel sorry for them. I think I do, more than I used
to. I think I do. I catch myself at times looking
down on them. Well, that's self-righteousness.
That's worse. But they don't know it. Evidently,
they don't know it. They wouldn't keep trying to
do it. Nothing wrong with the law. It's the flesh. We can't
keep it. The law wasn't given. That's what this book is about.
The law wasn't given to make us righteous. It's to show us
that we're sinners. But Christ said, oh, in the volume
of the book, it's written of me. I come. What? To keep the
law. You can't do it. Who shall ascend
to the holy hill of the Lord? He's got clean hands. Never done
any iniquity. Pure heart. Never sworn deceitfully,
never lifted up his soul under bandage, never spoken one idle
word. Who can say that? Christ could. Christ did. He said, who convinces
me of sin? Nobody. Not angels, not devils,
not men, not God. God said, I'm well pleased for
His righteousness. Do you hear this, men of Israel?
Hear this, a man approved of God. Why did He do that, John?
For us! For us! Christ came, look at
it, verse 3, He came, God sent His own Son in the likeness of
sinful flesh, without sin, but in the likeness of sinful flesh.
Why? For sin, and condemned it. The curse of the law is made
a curse. Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree. Sin is death. He that sins, the soul that sins
must surely die. God made His soul an offering
for sin. And he saw the travail of his
son's soul, and he's satisfied. The law is satisfied. Justice
is satisfied. The penalty has been paid. The
law has been kept. God is pleased. God accepts what
Christ did. He said, no, you love my son.
You believe my son. And I accept you. And there's
therefore now and not ever any condemnation to those who cry.
Oh, is that good news? That woman caught in the act?
Guilty as charged. Condemned by the law when she
left that place. Christ said, neither do I condemn
thee. They condemned everybody else
but her. Guilty as charged. This is what
the Holy Spirit does. Christ said, He'll take the things
of mine and show them to you. He won't speak of Himself. All
this talk about the spirit, the spirit, the spirit, the spirit.
He had the spirit, the spirit, the spirit. The spirit doesn't
speak of himself. He speaks of Christ. He's a witness
of Christ. He's called the Christ, the anointed
one. The spirit landed on him and said, this is the one you
need to look to. This is the one who came for
sinners. Now look at verse 4. He said
that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us
who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Fulfilled
by us? Does it say that? That the righteousness
of the law will be fulfilled by us? Does it say that? No,
it does not. It says in us. By who? It is God that worketh
in us. He's the author and finisher
of the faith. God, Paul said this, he said, I'm convinced
that he hath begun a good work in you. He'll finish it. You
don't even finish it. You don't perfect it. You don't
carry it on. You have nothing to do with it.
Well, but you say, it says walk. See there, it says walk. It's
a fact. It's stating a fact. Not a condition. It's a fact. The fact, see if I can make good
on that. The walk is a manner of life.
That's what the walk is. It's the direction you take.
How a person walks is the direction they take. Their manner of life,
it's where they're headed, where they're going. Now, if any man
be in Christ, Scripture said, he is a what? A new creature. God, you must be born again. You must be born of God. We're
going to sing Blessed Assurance when all this is over. And it says, born of His Spirit,
washed in His blood. You must be born of His Spirit.
Now, we don't have anything to do with that. That's of God. Born of God. You must be born
again. A new creature in Christ. Created. created in Christ Jesus
unto good works which God hath before ordained that they should
walk." There it is. Walk. There it is. They will.
They will. Our children had nothing to do
with their birth, did they? We did it. We did it. God did. I'm using an illustration. But
we gave birth then. Father seen and Mother prevailed
and salvation is of the Lord. This new birth, the Holy Spirit
regenerates. It has nothing to do with it.
Our children don't make themselves grow. Our children don't teach
themselves. Who teaches them? Scripture says
they'll all be taught of God. Taught of the Spirit. Led of
the Spirit. They'll walk. Our children learn
to walk. Some slower than others. But
they learn to walk. Who teaches them? Where do they
get the strength? Some can. Some can't. Who gives
them the strength? God does. Same with us. We walk. It's a new creature
created in Christ Jesus. And this walk is a new person. Now, read on with it quickly. It says in verse 5, they that
are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh. They that
are after the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, do the things of the
Spirit. To be carnally minded. That is, only thinking about
things here is death. It means you're dead. If that's all you think about
is a dead thing, you're dead. But to be spiritually minded
is life, proof of life and peace. What he's saying here in verse
8, those that are in the flesh cannot please God. Animals only think about the
flesh. That's all animals. Dogs only think about three things. Eating, drinking, and you know
what else. That's it. That's all natural
man thinks about. But those born of God, and there
was a time when every child of God in here, that's all you thought
about. That's all you thought about.
Isn't it? Wasn't it? Didn't give God any thought.
There was no new person in there to think about God. Those born of God, born of His
Spirit, washed in His blood, they think on things above. Not on things of the earth. They
think on things above. Now, it says to be carnally minded
is dead, to be spiritually minded. A lot of people throw that term
around. He's real spiritual. She's real spiritual. It means
somebody that acts real serious. They sit and they do yoga a lot. Not serious. That's what they
think spiritually. He's a spiritual person. Baloney. A spiritual person is one that
talks about Jesus Christ. Somebody has the Spirit of God
in them. They're not talking about themselves. They're not
talking about this world. They're not talking about the
philosophies of this world. They're talking about Jesus Christ.
They're talking about going out of this world. They're talking
about being with Him. That's what the Holy Spirit takes
the things of man and shows them to you. Takes your eyes off of
these things. All right, now here, someone
may say, but I still think on these things. I still think on these things.
I still desire these things. Anybody? Any honest people? I still have this lust of the
eyes and this lust of the flesh and this pride of life. I still
think on these things. These things still take my attention
at times. And I find myself desiring these
things. Anybody? Well, that's what Paul said.
The things I would not, that's what I do. The things that I
don't do, that's what I do. What I don't want to do, I do.
What I do, I don't want to do. Why? Because there's a war in
there. He said, I find another law warring
in my members. Bring him into captivity, he
said, this body of death. Look down at verse 10. If Christ
be in you, the body is dead because of sin. See that? You've still got this dead body.
And you'll have it until the day you die. And it's going to
go wandering. It's going to go looking. It's going to go lusting.
That's why you cry. He'd keep you. Who serves a call?
You wouldn't call if you didn't want out. See that? There was a time you never called.
It never troubled you. This world didn't bother you.
You loved it. There's a leader, a Latin American leader that
died recently, and the whole world mourned him. I didn't even
know who he was, but they mourned him. You know what his last words
were? He died of cancer. You know what
his last words were? His very last words? Don't let
me die. I've watched believers die. And
they say, unplug it! Unplug it fast! Let me die the
death of the righteous! I want out! Not that I want to
stay. No! I have a desire to part with
the Lord, which is far better for me to live as Christ, but
to die as what? Gain! Do you have that desire? That's not just to get out of
trouble. Everybody wants out of trouble. Everybody wants to
meet mama. That's not the Spirit of Christ,
the Spirit of God. I want to be with Him. I have one desire, David said,
and that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the
Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord. There He is. There's my husband.
That's what the bride said. There's my husband. He never did that before. There was a time he never gave them
a thought. Dead. Dead to God. Dead to Christ. He saw no beauty
in Him. You should desire Him. There
was a time when these things bothered me. That was the Spirit
of God, really, that wouldn't leave me alone. I remember thinking,
I don't want to hear these songs any more. I want to be done with
that. It bothers me. Thank God it bothers me. It wouldn't
let me go. James said, you're mine. You're going to love these things.
You're going to love me. But we still have this law warring
in our memory. Here's the point. If the Spirit
of God didn't dwell in you, so you've got this old man. But
if the Spirit of God didn't dwell in you, there wouldn't be a fight.
There wouldn't be a fight. There wouldn't be any trouble.
You'd have perfect peace. Nothing bothers you. If it feels
good, do it. Now, this conscience is the Spirit
of God. Don't do that. Don't go here. Watch out, this is dangerous.
That's what you do for your children. That's what He does. He dwells
with you. He dwells in you. He teaches
you. He leads you. He guides you.
He restrains you. He constrains you. Thank God. Thank the Lord. Look at verse 15. I want you
to see this. Now, verse 13, if you live after
the flesh, you'll die. If this is all we live for, we'll
die with it. We'll die. When everything dies,
we will too. But the Spirit is life. Real
life, more abundant. And peace. If all you think about
is this world and the things in it, you're going to be full
of turmoil and trouble and worry and doubts and fears and depression. This is all we think about is
death. But if you think on Him, peace. And I will give Him perfect
peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, Jehovah, the Rock. And verse 15 says, we have not
received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but received the
spirit of adoption. The Holy Spirit doesn't bring
His people to the law. That's not the Holy Spirit. In chapter 7, he talked about
a cruel husband being under a cruel husband. under bondage. There was no love there, only
rules and regulations. A cruel husband. That's what
he called the law. He said when Christ came, He
delivered you from that bondman. Delivered you from him. No cruel
husband. No cruel taskmaster. Do this, do that. People are
under bondage to the law. Am I good enough? Am I doing
enough? And under those leaders that
bring them under the law, you never feel any peace, do you?
You never feel any freedom. You say, I'm afraid to do anything,
step out of line, isn't my clothes long enough, my hair right, everything. That's not Christ. That's not
Christ. I remember, most of you remember
that Dickinsonian classic, Oliver. Remember that story about the
orphans in a home? They were under cruel... They
were orphans. They had no parents. They had
no one that loved them. And they were under a cruel taskmaster,
in bondage, a little oliver, you know. He was hungry. And
he came. You remember what he said? Please,
sir, can I have some more? The man came down tired of more. Oh no, he's given us a spirit
of adoption whereby we can cry, Abba, Father. Christ said, you
come to the Father because of me. You're now one of his children.
You go to the Father for anything. More? You want more? If any man
lack wisdom, let him ask of the Father who giveth liberally.
He giveth more. How much more shall he give unto
them? That term, Abba, Father, is so
wonderful. It's a wonderful term. I still call him Dad. I still
love that name. I've got it. Dad. That's a wonderful
term, isn't it? Dad. When you think of Dad. Some of you would love to be able
to talk to Dad, wouldn't you? Again, one more time. Daddy.
Crawl in his lap. Daddy. Tell him anything, can't
you? Ask Him anything. Daddy, help
me. As old as I am, I wish Daddy
would take over. You've got one. Better than that
one. You've got one. A heavenly Father
who loves His people far more than we love our own children.
Abba. You know something? As endearing
as that term is to us, When you think of Daddy, you think of
a man you love, don't you? A man that provided for you. A man that did so much for you.
If you had a wonderful one, you think of a man that was given
to you, that did so much for you. Daddy. You know, it's even more endearing
to Daddy to hear it. My daughter still calls me up
and says, Daddy, you know what I'm thinking? I know my thoughts
toward her. Thoughts of peace. Ask me. I'll do anything in my power.
Anytime. Daddy. He's given us the spirit
of adoption. Not under the law, but under
Christ. Oh, my. Now, that's freedom. I love the thought of our Lord
watching His children. He called them little children.
They were men of the same earthly age as Him. And they're 30, and
they'll become little children. My little children. Those grown
men. You know what men do when they
get together, don't you? That's what we do. Women don't do this, but men
do it. They wrestle around. They never
quit being boys. Wrestling around, kidding each
other, joking with one another, doing all these things that do
our Lord delight in. Watch His children play. They
never felt uncomfortable around Him. Here's holding us. Here's
holding us. And here's freedom, here's peace.
They never felt belittled. They never felt unworthy. They were unworthy, but they
never felt it. They never felt unwanted, unwelcome,
unloved, like they were under bondage. Never. Freedom. The
Son shall set you free. There was a spirit. bears witness
with our spirit. The things that we've tried to
say this morning. What about you? Has He shown
you the exceeding sinfulness of sin? Has He grieved you over
the sin within you? Has He showed you Christ? Do
you have a need for Christ? Do you call on the Father? Do
you cry out, help me? Father, help me. Deliver me. Do you? You feel free to do so? And then, I love this, down in
verse 26, it says, the Spirit helps our infirmities. We know
not what we should say as we pray, as we ought, but the Spirit
makes intercession for us. Oh, I find myself sometimes,
oh, I just don't know what to say. I don't know what to pray
for. I just don't know what to do, where to turn, what to say.
That's all I can say. He knows. He knows. I remember when my daughter and
now my grandchildren were so young that they couldn't speak
plainly. And Sophie in particular, I think she's going to be a talker.
And she's a sinner, Hannah. Yes, she is. Hannah first came
to me and said, I'm sure Sophie didn't mean what she did the
other night. And her grandmother said the same thing. She didn't
mean that. Yes, she did. She's your niece. Your granddaughter. But anyway,
I remember she talked. You know, you couldn't understand
a word she said. She knew what she was trying
to say. Her mother knew. Her dad knew. She knew. And that's us. Well, so much more I could say,
we grieve the Spirit. We grieve the Spirit. Our attitude,
our actions quench the Spirit. Not heeding Him, not walking
Him, not listening to Him. God's people are the only ones
that can do that. God's people are the only ones that can not
heed Him. Have you ever done that? I know
what He said, I want this anyway. And He'll let you know. He'll
let you know you grieved Him. And then you'll cry out like
David. Here's a person indwelled by the Spirit of God. You'll
cry out like David. Take not thy Holy Spirit from
me. Create in me a clean spirit. Renew within me a right heart.
My heart got bad. Renew a right heart in me. The Holy Spirit. Bless God for
His Holy Spirit. three and one in Christ. We're
going to sing that blessed assurance now. 255. And this is why. Born of the
Spirit washed in His blood. 255. I think it may mean more
to you now than before. I hope so. 255. Let's stand as
we sing.
