I went a little long into Bible
study. I apologize for that. It was
a very serious subject, wasn't it? Very revealing. Very deep. But we preach in part still.
We just have to take the Lord's Word and don't wait for it. Alright, let's go to Matthew
7 now. Verse 21 and 24 with me together. Verse 21, Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven,
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Verse 24, Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine,
and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built
his house upon a rock." Now, again, this sermon is not
just a sermon, because the one who preached it is not just a
preacher. These are the words of the Son
of God, and they are words of life, not a sermon. But that's what men call this,
don't they? If by God's grace we hear, if
He gives us ears to hear, a heart to receive His Word, we'll have
life, eternal life. We'll never perish. If we don't, we will perish. If He doesn't give us ears to
hear, give us life, we will perish. If we're not found in the way,
enter the straight gate, we'll perish. If we're not built on Christ
the Rock, we'll perish. That's how serious it is. Now,
he told us in verse 13, enter ye in at the straight gate. Last
Sunday morning, I was struck, I hope you were, with the sense
of urgency of it. Not just the truth of it. There's
a wide gate and a narrow gate, but the urgency of it. And I
need to hear and you need to hear the Lord say to us personally,
enter in. You. Ye. Enter ye in. Christ said, I am the door. I
am the way to God. I am the life. By Me. By Me. Only Him. By Me, He said, if
any man enter in, he shall be saved. I want to be saved. from sin,
from the world, from the self. He'll be saved. He'll go in and
out and you'll find pasture. I want to be fed. I want to find
rest, pasture. So he said, enter in. Enter in.
Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden. Come unto
me. I will give you rest. Enter in. These are the very last of the
last days before Christ comes. And I believe these are like
those seven days before the Lord shut the door of the ark. The ark was being built for a
hundred years and then He brought Noah in the ark, his family,
and the door was open for seven days. And anybody that wanted
to could come in. But they didn't. Noah was sure thankful that God
brought him in. But the door is open. Come. Come. I know this, though. Only those
whom God draws will come. Who God draws come. And he that
comes to Him, Christ said, oh, I love this, howling, no wise
cast out. No wise. I won't cast them out
for anything. You come. So enter in. Well,
it's hard about that. It's urgent. Then he warns us
not to go the way of all flesh, the broad way. He said many,
many go that way, the broad way. Many, most, the majority, the
majority of people are like cattle, just following other cattle. And a wide way means it's wide
because it's the road most traveled. The more people you have, the
wider the path the swath gets. Back in the old days, Buffalo
said, there were so many of them on the prairie that they were,
Buffalo passed a mile wide going through Kansas and all those
territories. Swath that wide. And what are
they all doing? Following each other. Don't be like cattle, he said.
He warns us. Don't be like cattle. Don't follow the masses. Don't
follow the majority, because most... I sure wish all our young people
were here, but they're not. But there is somebody. Don't
follow the masses. Don't follow most people. Our Lord warned us of that. Then
he warns us of false prophets. Our Lord is a good shepherd,
isn't He? He's a good shepherd. He warns a good shepherd. Not
the hireling. The hireling sees a wolf and
he flees. But the good shepherd sees a wolf and says, there's
a wolf. There's a wolf. He warns of false prophets. He
says, don't be deceived by appearances. Don't be deceived by the masses
of people. Masses of people. Can all these
people be wrong? Yes, they always have been. Always
have been. The vast majority has always
been wrong. Our Lord said so. He warns us
faithfully of that. Then He warns us not to be deceived
by the many false prophets. There are more false prophets
than true ones. He warns us of that. Because there are so many.
Because they're so deceptive. Because people are so ignorant. Our Lord said this one time,
He said, you let a man come in his own name and him you will
receive. It's so obvious, his name, his
face, his glory, but people just follow him. And our Lord said,
you'll know, here's how you'll know him that sent. A man come, not in his own name,
but seeketh the glory of him that sent him. That's the true
one. That's how you'll know. The Lord called them ravening
wolves. He said, Beware of them. Beware of them. And not just
false prophets, but everything in this world. Our Lord calls
it a present evil world. Don't fall for it. It promises. It deceives what it can't produce. It deceives us. Satan is the
god of this world. And this is what he uses. Satan,
the god of this world, this is what he uses. His preachers use it. They talk
about it. That's all they talk about, mostly.
And this is what he uses outside of religion to take captive everybody
with the things of this world. Don't be deceived by appearances. All that glitters is not gold. Don't follow it. In fact, that
which is unseen, is eternal. That which is seen. I like that
foundation. Then he warns us not to deceive
ourselves. Don't be deceived. And he says,
don't deceive yourself. Verse 21, not everyone that saith
unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. You know, I say, Lord, Lord.
Don't you? Don't you? If I asked you if God is sovereign,
what would you say? If I asked you to describe Jesus
Christ, what would be the first thing out of your mind? He's
Lord. Sovereign Lord. Many do. Jesus
is Lord. God is sovereign. Not everyone
that saith. Not everyone that saith. Not
everyone that saith, but I tell you this, look across the page
at verse 8. Not everyone that saith, but
verse 8 says, but everyone that asketh, everyone that asketh
receiveth. Everyone that seeketh, findeth.
The hymn that mocketh, or her, or whoever it is, mocketh, it
shall be opened. Everyone that asketh, not everyone
that saith, say, Lord, Lord. But I tell you, everyone that
calls, Lord, Lord, whosoever shall call. This is the greatest
prayer in the Bible. Simon Peter is sinking. He's going to perish. And he
looks to Jesus Christ and he says in three words, Lord, save
me. That's it. Save me. I perish. The thief on the cross,
as far as we know, that's the only prayer he ever prayed. What'd
he say? Lord, remember me. Everyone that calleth, not everyone
that sayeth, draweth near with the limbs. And everyone that
calleth shall be saved. I love that. And everyone that
asketh. That means continue to keep calling.
If you ever quit calling, you'll perish. If you ever quit seeking, In this
parable, the Lord is going to tell us about the person whose
house is built on the rock. And in Luke's gospel, he said
that wise man dug deep, dug, dug down, took some digging,
some searching, earnest seeking, did find bedrock. Build your
house on that solid rock. Dig. Seek. And that's what it
means to seek. He that seeketh Me shall find Me when they search
for Me with all their heart. Seeking. That means you keep
looking until you find it. Now, I'm not there yet. I haven't
arrived yet. We're not in glory yet. We're
just not there yet. Paul said that, didn't he, John?
He said, I haven't arrived yet. He said, this is what I'm going
to do. I'm going to press. toward the
mark for the prize of the high calling. Forget yesterday. But
Paul, you were set. I'm not saved until I sit with
Him in heaven. So this is what I'm going to
do. I'm going to keep asking. I'm going to keep seeking. I'm going
to keep knocking. And you know what that means?
Right here. That's what we're doing here today. That's what
we're doing here. We had a man pray for us. A couple
of men pray for us. Asking the Lord. Asking. Asking. We're seeking. We're searching
Him in the Scripture. What does the Scripture say?
We're searching for Him. We're looking for Him. We're
knocking. He said, I stand at the door and I knock. Talking
about the church. Talking about the church. We
need His presence, don't we? We want Him to sup with us. We
want to sup with Him. We want to feed on His body and
His blood, don't we? He said, well, I'm at the door. Let me in. You ever wanted in?
Some place you were locked out? You ever been locked out of your
house, whether accidentally or on purpose? You wanted in, that's
your house. You're not going to leave, are
you? You want to teach her a thing
or two? You'll lock her out. But no,
this is too serious to cut up like that. That's what it means to knock.
That's what it means to seek. Dig deep in the Word and worship
where He is, where He's found. The people where He's promised
to be, that's where they'll be. Knock in. I want in. I'm not
in yet. David said, when you said, seek
my face, what did David do? Thy face I seek. The Lord said,
I go before you in Jerusalem. Go there. He said, go there and
wait for me. All of you go there and wait
for me." And they did, except Thomas. And what happened to
Thomas? He was so full of doubts and
fears and worries, he didn't know if he was saved or not,
while the rest of the disciples were basking in glory. They said,
We've seen him. He said, I don't believe it.
They said, Come on back, Thomas. And he did. And he said, My Lord
and my God, I'm not lost after all. To whom? Coming. Coming. Coming. See what
our Lord is saying here? Enter in. Enter in. Come. Keep coming. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Not
everyone is saith. Not everyone is saith. Many will say in verse 22, many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
thine name, preached thine name? Well, I have. I preached in Christ's
name, man or woman. Cast out devils. I believe that
the Lord has led some captivity captive and delivered some here
through that preaching and many wonderful works. Not personally,
but just preaching the gospel is a wonderful work. But these
fellows, that's what they were pleading. What? These people, these men and women,
that's what they were pleading. That's what they were pleading
before God. And it appeared like they did,
didn't it? Many will say, I've done this, I've
done that. Oh, my. But here's what the Lord
said in verse 21. pass this up, I just want to
come back to it. He said, that he that doeth the
will of my Father which is in heaven, that's who will enter
in. Not he that saith, but he that
doeth. That's talking about faith that worketh by love. And faith
without works is dead. What does the Lord mean by doing
the will of the Father? What does the Lord mean by doing
the Father's will. Well, and I went all through
the Gospel of John, and beginning with chapter 5 in John, they
came to him and said, what must we do to do the works of God?
What did he say? This is the work of God, that
you believe on Him whom He has sent. You believe on Christ. And in John chapter 6, they,
well, let me turn there. Turn with me. John chapter 6.
This will be a blessing too. John chapter 6. I'm still in
John chapter 5. Look there. John chapter 5. Look at that. It says in John
5 verse 23. It says that all men, now here's
what the Father's will is, that all should honor the Son even
as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son
honoreth not the Father which hath sent him. That's the Father's
will, that every man honor the Son. And then chapter 6 is where
he said this is the work of God that you believe on Him. And
in chapter 6, go over there, verse 40. This is the will of Him that
sent me, that everyone that seeth the Son and believeth on Him
may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last
day." The Father's will. The Lord made this whole universe
for the glory of His Son. Everything is for the glory and
the honor of His Son. He made a people. for the glory
and honor of His Son. God's will is all bound up and
wrapped up in His Son. God's purpose. Everything. To
be in His will, you will honor the Son. You will worship the
Son. You will look to the Son. You'll
believe on the Son. You'll glorify the Son. You'll
serve the Son's glory. It's all about the Son. It's
not so much you doing as you believing, as you honoring the
Son. Remember when the woman with
the alabaster box? Very few times the Lord called
a good work a good work. The woman with an alabaster box
took everything she owned that was in that box and broke it. This is nothing to me. And bestowed
it all on the head of the Lord Jesus Christ. She said, she's
done a good work. She's done a good work. And so, he that doeth the will
of the Father is principally, primarily, foremost is to honor
his Son. Worship his Son. He's talking
about preachers. He hadn't left the context of
preachers, did he? False prophets? No, no. Everything the Lord says
is connected. And he that doeth God's will
sent by God, here's the will of the Father, that everyone
seeeth the Son, believeth in Him. Well, how are they going
to see the Son? Like Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness.
He said, if I be lifted up, I'll draw on me. Preach Christ. He'd
done a good work. But they're sure not going to
brag about it. Paul said, do I preach the gospel? I have nothing
to glory in. They woe is unto me if I don't preach the gospel.
When necessity is laid upon me. The people must. I must hear
Him preach. I must preach Him. I must hear Him preach because
I need Him. And I know you're like me and
you need Him. Someone said one time, a preacher is like that
pole. upon which that serpent was.
He's only so good for something as he holds up Christ. If he
doesn't, he's a worthless pole. So, our Lord said that here. Now, many will plead their preaching.
Many will plead their works. If I ask you, what would you
plead? If the Lord asked you, why should
I let you into my heaven? What would you say? I ask people
basically that question all the time. This is what I ask people
when I want to get right to the point, find out where they stand
if their house is built or is built. I say, what is your hope
of eternal life? If I asked you that, what would
you say? Everybody in here, what is your
hope of eternal life? If you hope to get to heaven,
if you hope to be accepted by God, if you hope to be in the
Kingdom of God with the saints of God someday and not perish
and God not cast you out, if you hope that God will not say
to you, you're a worker of iniquity, get out of here, what's your
hope? Boy, I'm hearing the right answer. My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus Christ's blood and righteousness. I dare not trust. I dare not trust the sweetest
frame. No confidence in it left. But
wholly, completely lean on the Lord Jesus' name. It's on Christ
the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand. All other ground is sinking sand.
It is. Our Lord said it. How clear can
He get? You build your house on this rock, it will stand. What you do won't stand. What
you are won't stand on Him. It doesn't matter what come. Come what may. Boy, that's good
news to me. In the vast majority of people,
though, many will say, I've done this, I've done that. Nearly
everyone I ask that question, what's your hope of eternal life?
They always begin with, oh my. And our Lord said in verse 23,
I will profess I never knew you. Depart from me, ye that work
iniquity. I never knew you. I never knew
you. Oh, the horror and the shock
of many. when the Lord says, I never knew you. And they will
be forced to admit they didn't know Him either. Not the God
they knew. I have a sister here whose sister
is religious. And our sister was talking to
her sister about this know for whom he did foreknow. The Lord
said, I never knew you. Now, to the pure, all things
are pure. Okay? And the Lord used this, like
a husband and a wife. It's a marriage. And this sister
of our sister argued with her that this thing of the Lord knowing
us, and we bring up, as Adam knew his wife Eve, right? As
Adam knew his wife Eve, does that mean he just was aware of
her, that he was introduced to her, that he was conscious of
her, that he knew some things about her. No, that's not what
that means. It means the two became one flesh. They literally
actually became joined together, a vital union, until those two
bodies even were one flesh. You couldn't tell them apart.
They were together. It's a beautiful thing. And it's
a beautiful type of the Lord Jesus Christ knowing His people. Unless the Lord Jesus Christ
comes to us with His incorruptible seed. Unless the Lord comes to
him and becomes one with us and plants this incorruptible seed
in us and creates a new creature in Christ. Unless He does that,
we're not His. Unless He makes the two of one
flesh. Unless the Lord Jesus Christ
gives us this vital union with Christ like a woman and a man.
And incidentally, the woman takes the name of the man. The woman
submits to the man. The man is not of the woman.
The woman is of the man. Right? His rib. She glorifies
the man. She's a helpmate to the man.
She's a servant of the man. That's why she was created. All
right? She looks to the man. She depends on the man. Ideally,
mind you, we're all a bunch of sinners. But ideally, that's
the way it is. Why? Because this is a mystery.
This is Christ and His church. And it is a vital union. Without
this vital union, see, a man and a woman, if they're really
married, if they're really in love, they become one in thought, they
become one in mind, they become one in desire, they become one.
She begins to think like him. They're together. They even begin
to look like one another over the years, don't they? I'm sorry,
Mindy. I hope I'm growing more like
you than you me. But anyway, it's true, isn't
it? It's true. Until you finally, they're so
united, you speak of one, you speak of the other. Henry and
Roberta, it's like one word. What would Henry be without Roberta?
What would Roberta be without Henry? It's Henry and Roberta.
Stephen and Mary, it's like one word. Santa Shariff. Can you
mention one without the other? It's a vital union. Wherever
she is, she loves him, she'll talk about him. Who's he talking
about? Her! It's a vital union. I never knew
you. I never came to you. I never
revealed myself to you. I never just took hold of you
and possessed you and you me and we became one. That is what
that means, isn't it? It's not an unclean thing. It's
a beautiful thing. Beautiful thing. I never knew
you. And you're a worker reliquitant.
Get out of here. The Lord knows. All right. The Rock. The Rock. Look at it with me. It says in
verse 24, Whosoever hears his saying and doeth them, I liken
him unto a wise man which built his house upon the rock, and
the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and
beat upon that house, and it fell not. He was founded on the
rock. Now, what's this house? We all
have one. You have a house. I have a house.
Right? We don't live in the same house,
literally. Humanly. You have a house, I
have a house. It's this tabernacle. It's me.
I'm me, you're you. Okay? You've got a house, I've
got a house. A tabernacle. A person, a mind,
a heart, a body and soul are dwelling in our tabernacle. Okay?
What are you built on? That's what it means. What are
you built on? Everybody's built on something.
One or the other. The rock or the sand. The rock
or the sand? Now, if you're built on the rock... Now, is the house one with the
foundation? Huh? Ricky, do you have to tie
that house down to the foundation? You better, ain't you? Man, oh man, that's the first
thing you do in it. First thing you do. That's what
we went out to Sammy's house, didn't we? Put the top plate
on and bolted that thing down and glued it down. The top plate
didn't work. That house has got to be connected
to that foundation or it's going to blow off, blow away. Are you
built on the rock? Well, if you are, no matter what
comes, no matter what comes, you're going to stand. Oh, this
is such good news. The house doesn't do anything.
It's just built. Now, there are three things here
I need you to see. It speaks of the Lord as the
master builder. The preacher, he's still talking
about a preacher. And then the believer, you. The
Lord is the wise builder. The Lord is the master builder.
The Lord is the one, except the Lord built the house. They labor
in vain to build it. He said, Peter, Upon this rock
will I build my church." If he doesn't build it, that house
is not going to stand, is it? What's he build it on? Himself. Himself. How does he build it
up on Him? He keeps showing you Himself. Builds you up on this most holy
thing. Himself. Keeps showing you Himself. And preachers are builders. In 1 Corinthians 3, he said that
we're laborers together. You're the building of God, but
we're laborers together with Him. And he says, if any man
build on this foundation of gold, silver, precious stone, remember
that? He said, let every man take heed how he buildeth thereon. The foundation can no man lay
than that which is laid. What's the fundamental of the
faith? If a man's a true preacher, he'll be a fundamentalist preacher.
Yeah, he will. He'll preach the foundation.
What's the foundation? Listen to me. Listen to Scripture.
If the foundation be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?
Here's the foundation. Here's where it all starts. The
Lord is our rock. God is our rock. God is sovereign. I was going to have you turn
so many Scriptures. There are too many to name. Psalm
62. It's on and on it goes. God is our rock. We lay this
foundation. God is eternal, unchanging, never
changing, always the same. Same God of the Old Testament.
Same God of the New. False preachers have a new God.
A God who cannot save. Don't they? New doctrine. Their rock is not our rock, is
it, Sam? Deuteronomy 32. It's not like our rock. Our rock
never changes. Our God never changes. God's
Word is our rock. Forever settled in heaven, O
Lord. Settled. The truth is unchanging. The world's thoughts, the world's
wisdom is like sand. It's blown away with every wind
of doctrine. It blows it away. What happens
when the sand blows away? It gets replaced with new sand. New sand comes right back. But
it will be blown away too. We were at the Pacific Ocean. Well, here's a better one. The
Rock of Gibraltar. Over there. You go over there and see that
Rock of Gibraltar. That thing has been there for thousands
of years. Thousands of years. Not billions. Thousands of years. It's been
right there. And you know how many waves have hit that. You
know how many winds have blown against that. You know how much
rain has fallen on it. There it stands. God is our rock. His Word is
our rock. His oath, His covenant supports
us in that whelming flood. Man is all unsettled. He'll look
to the earth and it will be unstable. But you look to the rock from
which you're digged. from which you are hewn and whose
side you are..." That brings me to the next rock. Christ is
our rock. Christ is the smitten rock. Christ is our rock upon whom
we stand. His covenant, His blood, His righteousness, everything
else is sand. Everybody's works are sand, shifting
sands. Good one day and bad the next.
Tradition. Decisions, baptisms, works, all
these things are sand, shifting sand. If you look into heaven
right now, you'll see on the mercy seat, blood. It's been
there all along, before the foundation of the world. You'll see at the
right hand of God, I rock. There's Him. Christ to rock. And all faith will be tried. Trials. of our faith, work with
patience, waiting on the Lord. Patience, experience the truth,
and experience hope in Him. I said the Lord is that wise
master builder. The preacher is the preacher
of Christ who builds up people. He says build yourself up on
this most holy thing. Build in yourselves up on this
most holy thing. How do you do that? Well, faith
cometh by hearing. They keep coming back to this.
This is how you grow. I want to preach from 1 Peter 2, is it? Man, oh man,
I want to know this like the back of my hand. I do, but don't
right now. Peter said, 1 Peter 2, yeah. As newborn babies, desire
the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow thereby. There's
one way to grow. It's just the milk of God's Word.
There's one way to be built up, your faith strengthened. There's
one way. One way. Build yourselves up
on this most holy faith. You're in a good place this morning.
You're hearing a good thing. You're hearing that which will
save you. Keep you saved. Keep you from
despair. Because everything's coming.
See the house on the sand and the house on the rock? It's coming. And when it comes, it's too late
to start digging a foundation. It's too late. See, trials don't give faith. They reveal it. They reveal it. They reveal it. They strengthen. They strengthen. That is, after it's over, You
rely more and trust more and look to, and during it, you're
looking to what? Yourself, not the house. Trials. Rain comes. What's that? Rain comes. Trials from God. Romans 1 says,
The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men. Well, you know that Psalm 90
says the same thing. We spend our years, we are consumed
by thine anger and by thy wrath. We're troubled. I'm a sinner
and my sins trouble me. And I feel like God is angry
with me. Don't you? Huh? Don't you? And I'm afraid I'm going to be
cast out. Don't you? Huh? When God sends
His Word and it just comes crashing down, let the righteous smite
me. Oh, bless God, John. He said it won't break my head.
Why? The rain and the Word comes down,
the wrath of God comes down. It won't. I won't fall. Why,
Kelly? Why? Look to the rock. Who are you standing on? Oh,
but I've got the wrong place to look. What's your hope? What's your
trust? Not me. Him. Him. Christ is a lamb slain before
the foundation of the world. That means the first sinner,
Adam, had to be standing on that rock. The foundation was laid. What did He bring? Why was He
accepted? Why was Abel accepted by God? Why? That's the foundation. The foundation. You will not thought. You will
not thought. You have His Word on it. You
can't lie. Boy, this is good news. Man, oh man, I don't think
I've ever heard it. That's how you know. And then
the floods came. Where do floods come from? Rivers
and creeks, don't they? Rivers and creeks, water comes
and starts flooding, rising. Flood waters. The world. The
waters of this world. Flood. Just flood. And, Buddy,
if you've ever been, we went down to see Brother Tom's house.
It was just overcome. Just destroyed. Water will get
in. It will get in. I bought a truck by the stand,
a flood truck. Oh my! It will get in. It will get in every part of
that vehicle. It sure will. And this world,
all the things of this world, the waters of this world, The
whole world is overcome by it. Flooded by it. Flooded with it. And we will be too. Unless we're
built on the rock. Or like Noah in that ark. What kept the water out? A pitch. A pitch. Or a house built on a hill. A
city built on a hill. A rock. Rocky Mount. Not Egypt. You think of Egypt, what do you
think of? Sand. That's the word. Pharaoh. Sand. His body laid in the sand. Turned
to sand. Then the winds come. The winds
come. What are the winds? You don't
know where they're coming from. Satan. He's called the prince
of the power of the air. The accuser of the brethren.
Assaults everywhere. Wind. You know where it's coming
from the next minute. Here it comes. Cold wind. Here
it comes. Wind. Depression. Fears. Despair. I told you the other
morning, I woke up just so downcast. You? What does the world do? Where does the world turn? the things of the world, the
people of this world. Don't do that. Don't do that. If we look
to Christ, He said, lay hold of the beginning of your confidence,
steadfast in the end. Built on Christ by our mind. He said, you'll not be overcome.
He said, look to Me. In the world you shall have tribulation. It's coming. The rain. Trials
from God. Flood. You're going to be tempted
at all points. And then the winds. You don't
know where they're coming from. But you said, be of good cheer.
I have overcome the world. Not you. Me. You look to me and
you won't be overcome either. Look to me. You're built on the
rock. Is that where you're built? The rain descended, the floods
came, the wind blew, beat upon that house, and it fell not."
Why? One reason. Built on a rock. That simple, isn't it? Faith
really is that simple. It's trust in Christ. None of
them that trust in Him. I love that Scripture. None of
them that trust in Him. Who? Sinners. Thief on a Cross? Mary Magdalene? Simon Bar-Jonah? None of them. All of them. David? Solomon? None of them that trust
in Him, whose house is built on that rock, will fall. But
He said, now everyone, every single house that's built on
the sand will fall. Doesn't matter how good it looks. And you know, these houses looked
the same. They were similar. You really
couldn't tell them apart. There was no distinction in the
houses. What was the distinction? The foundation. That which was
unseen. When the trials came, one stood
and the other didn't. And he said, great was the fall
of it. Great fall. Babylon has fallen. Babylon has
fallen. All the vast religion has fallen. Well, we're going to be thankful
for that rock in that day, won't we? And if a person loses their
soul, how great is the fall of it? Awful. Alright, we're going to
sing. John, come up. 258? 268, that's it. How firm a foundation,
you saints of the Lord. 268. John, if you'll come.
