Psalms
What does the Bible say about fret not?

Psalm 37 instructs believers not to fret or be envious of evildoers.

In Psalm 37, the psalmist repeatedly admonishes God's people to 'fret not' themselves because of evildoers. This means to not be consumed with anger or jealousy against those who seem to prosper through wickedness. Instead, believers are encouraged to trust in the Lord, commit their ways to Him, and rest in His promises. The assurance is that evildoers will ultimately perish, while the righteous will inherit the earth and be established in their faith.

Psalm 37:1-2, Psalm 37:7-8

How do we know that trusting in the Lord is beneficial?

Trusting in the Lord leads to a promise of righteousness and fulfillment of desires.

Faithfulness to God and trust in His guidance bring about spiritual blessings and confidence in His plans. The psalmist highlights that those who commit their way to the Lord will have their righteousness shine forth as light. This demonstrates that relying on God is not in vain; He promises to fulfill the desires of our hearts when our delight is fully in Him. By placing our faith in Him, we align ourselves with His will, allowing Him to direct our paths and produce beneficial outcomes in our lives.

Psalm 37:5-6, Psalm 37:4

Why is it important for Christians to rest in the Lord?

Resting in the Lord allows Christians to alleviate anxiety and trust in His sovereign plan.

The concept of resting in the Lord, as described in Psalm 37, is crucial for believers. It signifies a deep trust in God’s sovereignty and a relinquishment of the burdens we carry. Christians are called to cast their cares upon the Lord, removing the anxieties and fears that often plague us due to life's uncertainties. When we rest in Him, we find peace and a renewed strength to face challenges, confident that God is in control and working all things for our good.

Psalm 37:7, Psalm 55:22

Holy, holy, holy, merciful and
mighty, God in three Persons, let it really be. All right, go back. Take notice
of column 37, 35, 39. Column 37. Don't want to bang me. You need to, uh, back up here. or what he gets from the woman
that he is living with God's people. It's the same. They are
referred to throughout this poem. They're called the just. They're
called the righteous. They're called the upright. They're called the good man. Perfect. They're called, we'll
see, they're called saints, and other things. As opposed to, and we hear the
Lord call some evil doers. Thirteen times, I think it was,
he referred to evil doers. He called them wicked and so forth.
So this is written to God's people. And they, we, if you will, some
of these saints, are righteous, are good, are upright, not by
their works or their leaders, but by their behavior. Yes, we know that. I am part of that. There are
many devices in God. There are many devices that are
given to people by the Spirit of God. God's presence can be
different. So when we talk about the light,
and we talk about the upright, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk
about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we
talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good,
and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and
we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk
about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk
about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and
we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the
good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we
talk about the good, and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good,
and we talk about the good, and we talk about the good And I
don't have to keep saying that unless there's a problem with
it. But I just had to say it. I just had to say it. And then
what we made here is, I see where you're looking. I like it. I'm going to help you through
this. Okay, next time. Next time. Alright, so this is written to
the people of the Lord. You can do this later, but first,
you need to jump in all of that writing, and reading, and that
process. But the Lord is the one who's
going to look at the law and the people of God. Okay? First,
we have all of the scriptures, and we have all of these writings.
Okay? All right, verse one, fret not
thyself. Fret not thyself. Fret not. It's something
we all do. Three times, verse seven, he
says, rest in the Lord with patience. Fret not thyself. Verse eight,
he's going to ask you to fret not. I say. It's not held in country terms.
It's a pride of the country. It's a threat. It's not a threat. It's not a word of. It's not something that we use a lot. We use it.
But again, that's important. It means to get heated up with
anger or jealousy or any sense against something that's an authority. We would say that a cotton father
is like a grave to the church. The difference is praying is
different from worrying. Worrying sometimes worries. Those you love, you worry about. It means you're fearful for them.
That's not always true. I'm afraid of these things, to
say it honestly. Because praying, it's so absurd
and bothersome. It tears you off. It's about
what you see and hear and what all's going on. Praying time. And he's going to give us a beautiful
deal. He says, praying time by itself
is all for evil doers. Evil doers. They're accepting
someone that does no good. You know, those who do no good.
Those who are out to get you. kind of like a lawyer or something
like that, or a priest. Well, that's pretty cool. The world, and it makes you feeble,
too, if you have to talk to the world for a minute, because they
are out there, out there, they're evil. Why? People are out there
for good and right and justice and truth and honor. The world
is full of liars. They just say this and that.
And I said, in my age, all men are like that. No one. You can't
trust anyone. Who said it? It's that truth I belong to.
I'll take what's up for you. Something like that. The world's
full of cheats, and they all have to get it. And they don't. For all of us, there ain't no
one else on this earth. People who are malignant, spiteful,
hateful, abusive, and so forth. He says, don't blame them. That's
not real. Neither be thou envious against
the workers of iniquity. Don't be envious. Now, in a sinful,
corrupt world, a corrupt world, this is a corrupt world. This
is a corrupt world. Meaning that people are not doing
things above, for, right, and wrong to prove such virtues.
And things are getting worse. Corruption means things to pay
off. Just thirty-four years ago, you
could take people by the path they're walking. A hand in charity
can't stop it. A man's word can't stop it. A contract that you can't get
away with. It doesn't make sense. You respect
him and agree with him, but you have
to be true to what you're doing. Having a corrupt world is even
worse at work. The only way you can become rich
and famous is to be corrupt, you're dead. The only way. The only way is to
be dishonest, nothing else. in this world. In religion, the
only way to be saved is to be corrupt. You know? And on this planet, it's not
going to be very kind of clean, you know, and have a house that
you can take full comfort in, if you're thoroughly corrupt. Throughout this song, the Lord
tells us that those who are wicked, those evil-doers, have grave
missions, and so forth, while the just, the righteous, those
who are just, they're often poor and
needy, and have little in character. The Lord reminds us over and
over again, that the riches of the evil doers are vast, and soon gone. Therefore, as
we're going to see, while the leaders shall perish in the world. If, a good way to remember this,
if you'll turn, if you'll, in Psalm 37, you swap those numbers
around, what do you have? Psalm 73, you're similar in those
things. Go over there. In Psalm 73, David says this,
this is some of your, you're all in favor. One of his favorite songs is
Psalm 73. David, being a man, he said,
I was envious first through. I was envious to do it. When
I saw the prosperity, I was envious. Down in verse 17, he said, until
I went into the sanctuary, until I heard God's word, until God
made it clear to me, I understood. Now here's the thing you need to consider. Here's
the thing you need to be wise about. Again, old disabled lives were
considered a latter end. Just wait. Old Tom tells us to
wait. Wait and see. Just wait and see. Don't get up and press on. Now,
when you do poverty, that's just what it says, how this turns
out. That's what this song's about.
It always goes on to say, it doesn't mean it's meant for the
place. So go back to the text. It says,
don't be anxious against the workers. You don't envy what
they have. I mean, if you don't envy a fat cow,
do you? Now, if you were a cow, this
won't be a bad word, can it? Now, I don't get the exact science
account, but it's true. The Lord said it's harder to
build a camp than it is to feed your family. It's harder
to feed your family than it is to feed your family. It's harder to feed your
family than it is to feed your family. And he says that terrorists will
be drivers of death for the nation. The goal is to tanker the blood
of the richest of people. It's a rival system. He doesn't want that. He better
not have anything to do with it. I have to tell you something
about the so-called church. They didn't do anything. They
don't do anything. Then there's, of course, his
central exhortation here. Central exhortation and promise.
Exhortation with promise. Look at it, and these will cure
our prayers. This will be. Verse 2, he says,
Then he shall soon be set down like grass and wood as earth.
All grass is good things, just grass. So he says, trust in the
Lord. Trust in the Lord. And there's
a trust in the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments. Trust in
believing in the Ten Commandments. One of our brothers was saying,
when you pray don't just look to the Lord. That's what we do.
We follow the Lord, we pray, we look to the Lord. He was dependent
upon them. He was guided to trust the Lord
at some point in time. He trusted the Lord. He trusted the Lord. Now, one
word to say again, has he proven himself to us all these years?
Hasn't he made provision for us? Hasn't he exposed the sin
and corruption and shown us how to thrive? Questioner 1 – What
do you believe in that time of peace? Again, have you not seen
the perfect man, the believer, the perfect woman, in Christ,
die for him alone? And again, that person is perfect,
isn't he? Have you not? The Lord is true. He's trustworthy. Trust in the
Lord. Depend upon Him. Live upon Him.
Look to have confidence in the Lord. Why, who's the Lord? The
Lord is Jesus Christ. The Lord is our shepherd. He
is our shepherd. There is Jesus. He is a pastor
who says, I shall not walk. Let me read this to you. This is a passage from a book
written 10 years ago by my pastor. It's on Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall
not walk. Well, whatever. It makes me a
liar and a great liar. I shall not walk on feet. We
need to be decided as to what. I shall not want forgiveness,
for you have stolen from my soul. I shall not want remorse, for
you have been as with life. I shall not want rebellion, for
thou art with me. I shall not want comfort, for
thou art not sad. I shall not walk for a million,
I shall not prepare a table, I shall not walk for anything
in this world that is unsure of its goodness and mercy, except
I will, for all the days of my life, nor shall I walk for anything
in the world to come, because I will dwell in the house of
the Lord." I tell him, the Lord, that if
I trust him, that he will do it. And he said, do good. Do good. What's good? Well, who's good? Did our Lord
say that none's good but God? Whatever he says and doing is
good, is right, is holy. Isn't that right? The writer
said, I command this good, holy, just, right. Mary, holy disciple,
whatever he says, I mean, he's good. He's good. He's good. Our Lord says, Mary
knows you and all that you did before you become a good person. He also commends good works to
important people. He commends good works to opposite
people. Now, Harvey said, I say to him,
if you don't marry this man, you take that one, do you? Didn't Peter say? Didn't he say
this would be harmful to us? Didn't he say this would harm
you if you didn't follow what he said? He did. He was right. He was just. He was honest. Whatever
he said was good. He was honest. He kept the truth. Whatever he tried was right. Whatever he couldn't turn was
good. Whatever he got was good. Whatever he liked was good. He said, in Galatians 6 verse
10, he said, He said, I said, all of them. And I said, I was there
then. He said, he told me to write and to follow him just
as well then. He said, this is an all-man,
but a special man. He told me the household was special. And he said, you took well, not
to talk of it, but to trust in the Lord. He said, I felt well
when I first heard it. God does well in the land. He
gives what land? He gives you a land. He gives you a land. There's a land that He's sharing
with you now. And by faith, you can see it
all. And the prophet, when he goes to the land, he's prepared
us to go to the place where He should be, by His might. He shall lead you on that beautiful
path. I think we're going to go to
that more in depth in the next minute, but he's going to tear
it to pieces. And they're going to be fed,
he said. I've got to be fed. This is why I like the martian
and the ancient science. We live, as you're saying, in
truth and science. Legal bread, true bread. And famine was the first 19th.
The time of famine, as we're going through that process, more
religious than ever, the less true this is. More Bibles than
have ever been, the less true. The less true it's going to get.
The first 19th. We've been in the days of famine. That's life. In the days of famine, how shall
we spend this life? At the time. And in verse 25
he said, "...and I said to him, Take the rod and put it down,
and I received that which was in my hand." Thank you. The Word of God has a fundamental
meaning to what it is. When the Spirit is found in you,
and all this wildfire and all that, you tasted that, you tasted
it, you looked at it, you heard it, all of it. It just satisfied your needs. You remember this, on Isaiah
fifty-five, somebody said, The first four, he said, delight
thyself also in the Lord, for he shall give thee the desires
of thine heart. Paul says he rejoiced in the
Lord. Go back to Psalm 27. This is
what the Lord read. And I always rejoice when someone
reads something that I have been spoken to in this way. I have two verses written down.
Psalm 27 spoken now. The Lord had a visitor to Psalm
27. This is Psalm 117, look at verse
4, it says, One thing have I desired of the Lord, that I may dwell in the
house of the Lord all the days of my life, that the whole When you're in love with someone,
these young people, some of them haven't experienced it yet. They probably will. I hope it's
the right person. But when you fall in love with
somebody, that person is all you have. It jumps. You'll go to the end
of the earth, you'll find the highest mountain, that's what
it says in Scripture. You'll awaken in Jesus Christ.
This is your job. If you will, you won't care about
anything else but that one thing. And you'll leave your father,
your mother, and your parents to be drawn to that one light.
You'll leave all else, including you, to that one light. The light after
all is love. It's love. As you said, there's
one thing I want you to know in this meeting. If you ever
see this meeting, this is why God's people truly highly love
this Lord. All they need when they come
here is somebody standing up and talking about Jesus. Doesn't
the world have all this stuff? It's not going to turn around,
is it? They won't do it. They're going
to take it all. Look at verse 8. David said,
When you said, Seek my face, the cow said, Seek ye my face.
My heart said, I paid for it, but I seek it. It may be dainty,
but it takes a little bit of encouragement to do. Right. I'll turn now to my
son, I think, but he's not going to be able to see me. You know, I've got to apologize. What we wanted,
we fell over, and we had to despise the church. It did not matter. I grew up with it. And so when my father and my
mother decided to leave, they took my hand. I'd let him take it. I'd say,
it's fine. Try to sit at my end there. He'd be over. You don't
have to worry about it. He'd drive himself. He'd follow me. He'd tell me stuff
in his mind. He'd all the reasons for loving me. He'd drive me.
He'd have me all the time. He'd have me whenever he needed me. He'd always be there. He'd be
your husband whenever he needed you. But I
got ready for it. Now I'm ready for this man. He's about as close as anybody. He's got a husband who said,
I don't have to get you ready for this. He's got any kind of reason to be there. I don't care. I don't care. And that's the one thing you want.
I love you. And that's the only thing. That's
the only part. Go back to our case now. So he
says, delight in the Lord. So if you delight in the Lord,
if He's your delight, what does the Lord say at the first call?
He will give you the desire of your heart. If the Lord is your delight property,
if He's the one you desire, that's what you need. You aren't here to go to people, what do
you need? Come here. You want this world, go on, go for it.
There is. There is. You work hard enough
to do it. You want me to know your name? Oh, I'm delighted to tell you,
Lord. And you know that your life doesn't have to go by your
desire. You know, that's the first lesson
I've got. It gives you that desire. The
Lord said he would teach the weak to the right. What's your right? What is your right? The Lord said this several times
to men. He said this to the leper. He
said, after he healed him. The leper, he said, after he
healed him, he said, go thy way. He knew what he did. He said, this is the sin period,
go thy way. He said, this is the power of
the Lord, go thy way. He said, this is the blind man,
go thy way. And over in Psalm 25, he says, the
more the man will be pleased, his way will be his way. What
is God like? He's kind. He's kind. He's not the way of sin, did
you remember that? A venerable man doesn't stand in the way
of sin. He's not in that God's way. God's way, the whole world
is sad. He's not in that. I just don't
care so much. I was in that way before. And
the Lord turned to him and said, I'm speaking to you as a young
man. And he went, I was out of the way a young man went. The
way of God. He said, go to the next highway.
And the next highway, this was just taken. Psalm 119, David
says this, by God's grace, he says this, I have chosen thy
way. And he's done it. He's so grateful that
the Lord has chosen him. But, uh, I chose to come here
not to meet you. I was honest with you when I told you I would let
you down if you didn't watch this amount of time. I was honest
with you. But, uh, I chose to come here to meet you. Because we've got more things
going on. Okay. Any deal, then? I'll take that. But I chose a
country. He says that's because of marriage. That's the choices we make. There's a lot of steps in the
last walk when you've chosen a country. He's chosen our parents
for the work. But he says marriage, he has
chosen the good life. He has not. He has not been there. It's that special. David says,
"...and bring him now, and lead him in the way." Here I am, Lord. Don't tell me about your people. Put him in this life. Take him apart. He said in Psalm
139, verse 15, "...and bring him now, and lead him in the
way." So when he says, commit thy way
unto the Lord, the Lord has put us in the way, so here's what
we say. Commit your way unto the Lord, here I am. By your
grace, by your mercy, I'm walking by
faith in Christ. You put me in the way, and I'm
here in the way. And this is the way I'm headed. Lord, here I am, I'm walking
by faith. I work in this world, I live
in this world, I'm sobering in this world, Lord, I trust in
You, I trust in You to lead, to guide, to protect, to prevent,
to heal. Amen. Lift your way unto Him. This is what such a person should
do. Throw the whole burden of life
on Him. Leave with Jehovah not thy presence,
threshfulness, only, or merely, but all thy care. In fact, submit
the whole center of thy faith. Cast away anxiety, resign thy
will, submit thy fitness, leave all but God alone. What a medicine
this is for a failing human being. What a high payment this precept
doth pay. How blessed must he be to live
every day on this earth. Trust also in the existence,
trust also in him, he shall bring you to pass. Our destiny, destiny
doth enjoyfully accomplish it. It is constantly accomplished
all the time. The plowman, he says, sows and
harrows and leaves the harvest to God. What has him to do? He can't. He can't make it run. He does well to leave the whole
matter to God, but that's appointed with thrust in the wall. and expect
the blessing out of him. The gift I believe in is
the Lord. He loves you also in him. He'll bring his path, bring
what path? Everything. His purposes, what he will, your
end, you will see, your end. And the end is good. Verse six, he says, and each
I bring forth by righteousness as the light And thy judgment
as the new day. Commit, trust, and he shall bring
forth thy righteousness as the light. And thy judgment as the
new day. Who is thy righteousness? The Lord makes Christ very clear. There's no doubt. He's a man of foundation, but
the Lord makes his eyes very clear to you. He makes it very clear to
you that you feel a presence that's about to be in you. They see all the difference between
concerning all things, concerning, you know, Paul says, the Lord
is manifested in different forms. And those in Christ will themselves
be dedicated by the same Lord. They'll be seen to be right.
You know, the whole world thinks this little mongrel's good, but
I hear they're wrong. That's not just for the soul.
You can keep God's grace, you can keep the time, you can keep
your place on the hill, and that might be until you're old, but
you're still here. It's a challenge. And there's
a decade, you're still here. God's grace. But the Lord will
indicate to His people and show them that He is right for those
who walk by faith and cry, those who walk according to His Word,
those who preach His Word. You know, I think this is subtle,
but there's probably more than one or two priests in this whole
town that have been on my land. In fact, I don't think there's
not one. You can do that. I'm not very old yet. I think it's been 20 years. Glory. Amen. The Father, the Son, the Holy
Spirit, and the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit. Well, the Lord said we can't
do that. The Lord said we can't do that. The Lord will show His people
to be right. Those who walk in Christ, those
who preach Christ, those who walk according to His Word, do
things according to His Word, will show that they are right
and the whole world is wrong. Not knowing. No, it was exactly
as it is. 120 years until finally, and
at first, you know this well, everybody was involved until
we finished. And that's hard. And maybe a lot of people got
in on it. Maybe a lot of people borrowed
money, maybe a lot of people worked. We get frightened by
what they have to say, and we have to shoot them a game. And I held down for a time, for
120 years, until finally they all wanted to die. And then there
were eight soldiers. And then it was finished, and
they walked in that park, and they sat down. And you see them
coming. What are y'all doing? But get
out and do something, y'all, and finish. You miss a division,
another struggle, y'all fall together, but it flies away.
And they laugh, and they laugh again. And the whole
world laughs at them, it's gonna look like they're laughing. Oh,
they don't. Wait. The last seven minutes are the
hardest ones. They laugh. And the Lord said, I have arrived. A whole load has come. Everything I say will come to
bring it to life. I hope everyone can see it. The Lord said, I have come. Surely
I have come quickly. There is a word of promise that
is coming. I see it all rounded up together.
Don't you think? He signed and he said, all right,
I'll do it, I'll do it, too. God sees you, over the grave,
over the Lord. I'm going to tell you, I'm going
to reveal it to you. He asked him, the Lord, late
in the morning. Verse seven. So that first day, one woman
called him and said, here, let's go get him. He's a righteous
man, said, polite, judgmental, and very kind. He didn't say
a thing about me, that's clear as day. It's clear as day to him. Isn't
that clear to you? It's clear to you who's faithful
to Him. It's clear to you that God's
the Christ who's faithful to Him. No one else. Jesus is the
truth, there is no other. It's clear. He has faith in Him. Verse seven. Rest in the Lord.
Rest. Rest in the Lord. You have a marginal reference.
is there to be silenced. How about that? To be silenced,
plain and simple. To be sealed. No Moses in the
field of Israel. That they're back to, they were
sweet as rock, not hard as rock. That, and we're Indians. Dead
sea and mud. There's sewers behind us. We're all Indians. What's that? What's it going
to say? Where are we going? Where are
we going? What are we going to do? What are we going to do? We've got to do something. What are
we going to do? We've got to do something. What are we going
to do? We've got to do something. What are we going to do? We've
got to do something. What are we going to do? We've got to do something. What are
we going to do? We've got to do something. What are we going to do? We've
got to do something. What are we going to do? We've got to do something.
What are we going to do? We've got to do something. What are we going to do? We've got to do something.
What are we going to do? We've got to do something. What are we going to do? We've got to do something.
What are we going to do? We've got to do something. What are we going to do? We've
got to do something. What are we going to do? We've got to Way of thinking. Way of thinking. You know, we've
got a lot of movers in the nation. It's hard. But there are ladies. We've got some ladies that were
prepared to move a lot more, you know. And take charge, kind
of people. So that's good in some ways. But in most things, it's good
to look at. The goal is not. The answer is we try to meditate.
I think it's a good thing to think before you act. Especially meditation on the
Lord or the rest of the Lord. That's where we'll find our rest.
Don't we see things all going on around us and hear things
and make plans for us and talk with the Lord and so forth. But
we do not. We still hear. And these dream
factors that we lack You'll see the same thing that's
been going on all day, day after day. Glory unto the Lord, and
error by night, and so forth and so forth. Dear Lord, trust
me, I love you in my good faith. Error by night. And error is
life by night. Thousands all year, and thousands
next. We'll see. I love that story
of that man who was having trouble sleeping and now he's worried.
He got up and he read Psalm 121. Psalm 121 says, He that is real
shall neither slumber nor sleep. And he said, well, Lord, if you're
saying that, how the hell is he going to sleep? Well, to me, they didn't make
the worst of things. You see, I'm not told
more than they can watch for tomorrow. Things are always worse with time. At least with grass, here's a better
view. We don't have a rest in the morning. We wait patiently
for the morning. Patience is so hard to come by. But who's
going to patience you on that? Who's going to patience you on that? So how does it fit to say
we get that? Pride. You only get patience by spirit.
It takes years for you to get patience. By spirit, you find
out the hard way how to get on. If I can find that, I've done
the wrong thing. I'm not waiting. That's how you
find out how to wait. I'm not waiting. I'm only going
to wait. It's time for you to learn to
live with it. Trust in the Lord. Trust not
thyself, first of all, because of him who's postured in his
way. Those are the weakest, the last great weakest devices to
have. Now, people, I ask this, I need
this more than anybody else, because Christians, in the most
prosperous of days, are in a position, at least to me, I can't help
but see all this stuff coming out. I see all this. I drive by these places. I drive by these places and I hope there'll be no cars
in their parking lot. And all we're doing here, John,
is preaching to us what that is. He's trying to tell men what
the gospel is going to say. All we're doing here, so help us, God Almighty. It's
time to glorify God, give Him all the glory, point men to the
Lord Jesus Christ, point our healing people to Christ, and
I'm trying to entertain them. And hoping the Lord will save
their hope. That's all I'm saying. Isn't
it? You're interested in it. These young people, I hope they
at least know to God that their preacher's not a fool. I hope
they respect me that far. At least, I know they do. I know
that they know, and they can tell their friends, that this
preacher's not a bloomin' idiot. It's not food. It doesn't act
like one. It doesn't talk like one. If you bring your friends,
you won't try to jerk the profession out of them. It's not food. It's not friction food. It's
not a bunch of food that you throw on them. Right? It is food.
I wouldn't want my children to listen to
that. It's food. It's too bad. Right? It's not food. It's not
turning back. I don't feel alive again. I don't
see how people can subject their children to these maniacs, these
corrupt individuals. If your children are not under
a dishonest man, and I speak for it, I'm sorry, but I do.
I steal, I drive by their Lego buildings with their multi-million
dollar budgets. I see all the people following
me. And I don't want to go on a family
mission story. I really don't. I'm going
to be honest with you. I'm going to be... You know what
Josiah did? Ezekiah is going to get some
good reason to file a resignation letter. If you go over to 2 Kings
chapter 18, chapter 23, you read the story of Ezekiah and Josiah. They burned down the building
and threw every profit. They poured in all the ice, tied
up everything. We just can't do that kind of
stuff, not alone. I do confess to that one night,
I wanted to get in a cab, but I couldn't. I had to go all the
way to the side, and I saw all this. So, last thing, God. He says to me, verse eight, cease
to languish, forsake wrath, threaten not thyself in any way to do
evil, except through me. I'll do it. I'll do it. Don't
you lie to me. I'll do it. And if it's evil, people, all
of you, religion is the worst evil of all of it. All of it
is. And it's hurting thousands of
people.
