mercies and compassions are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This

and prayer unto God most high, the only Holy Father, that His
only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous times. Please consider having paper

your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
in His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. Friends, though a believer may
have his darkness, doubts, and fears, and many conflicts of
soul while on his dying bed, yet usually these are all over
and gone before the last moments come. And death does its work
in office upon him. From the gracious promises of
God to be with his people even unto death, and from the scriptural
accounts of dying saints, and from the observations I have
made through the course of my life, I am of opinion that generally
speaking, the people of God die comfortably, their spiritual
enemies being made to be as still as a stone while they pass through
Jordan or the stream of death. That was from a old theologian
and preacher, John Gill. King William, being once advised
to take more care of his safety and not to hazard his person
too much in the field of battle, answered, every bullet has its
billet, B-I-L-L-E-T, and that means place. So every bullet
has its place, meaning not a bullet. flew at random but was directed
by a particular providence, whom to injure and whom to spare.
So the preaching of the gospel is equally under divine direction. God's spirit takes care that
the word of truth shall be a saver of life unto life to this man
and a saver of death unto death to that man. That was from preacher Augustus
to Pliny. He was the author of the beautiful
hymn entitled Barak of Ages, long time ago. Being a believer
in Jesus Christ and resting in his good providence does not
accept us from trouble, trial, sorrow, and heartache in this
life. Our Lord said in John 16, 33,
in this world, ye shall have tribulation. But here is our
comfort and help from Psalm 46 one. God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. Hallelujah. Our blessed Lord
said, come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy
and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4 16, good message
from preacher Tom Harding. Lord, grant me divine communion. As it's written in Ezekiel 33,
22, now the hand of the Lord had been upon me the evening
before. In the matter of judgment, this
may be the case, and if so, let me consider the reason for such
a visitation and accept it as from His hand. I am not the only
one who is chastened in the night season. Let me cheerfully submit
to the affliction and carefully endeavor to profit by it. But the hand of the Lord may
also be felt in another manner, strengthening the soul and lifting
the spirit upwards toward eternal things. Oh, that I may in this
sense feel the Lord dealing with me. A sense of this divine presence
and indwelling bears the soul toward heaven as upon the wings
of eagles. At such times we are full to
the brim with spiritual joy and forget the cares and sorrows
of earth. The invisible is near and the visible loses its power
over us. My servant body waits at the
foot of the hill and my master spirit worships upon the summit
in the presence of the Lord. Oh, that a hallowed season of
divine communion may be granted to me this evening. The Lord
knows that I need it very greatly. My graces languish, my corruptions
rage, my faith is weak, my devotion is cold. All these are reasons
why his healing hand should be laid upon me. His hand can cool
the heat of my burning brow and calm the turmoil of my palpitating
heart. That glorious right hand that
molded the world could renew my mind. The unwearied hand that
bears the earth's huge pillars can sustain my spirit. The loving
hand that encloses all the saints can cherish me. And the mighty
hand that breaks in pieces the enemy can subdue my sins. Why should I not feel that hand
touching me this evening come my soul? Address God with the
potent plea that Jesus's hands were pierced for your redemption
and you shall surely feel the same hand Upon you that once
touched Daniel and set him upon his knees that he might see visions
of God and that's an unknown preacher of righteousness, but
that was a good message and Ephesians 430, ye are sealed
unto the day of redemption. Who are thus sealed? Every believer
in Christ. This was shown in the last meditation. This sealing here and elsewhere
is spoken of a thing done. Ye are, ye were, God hath sealed
us. See 2 Corinthians 1.22. If all believers are not sealed,
it is absurd to exhort them, as the scripture says, grieve
not the spirit whereby ye are sealed. Know, believer, that
this is your inestimable privilege. Rejoice in it. Give the Lord
the glory of it. Oh, may the Spirit, the sealer,
help us to make some improvement of it. First, are all believers
sealed unto the day of redemption? Then is their state safe and
their salvation sure. From we read in second timothy
2 19 the foundation of god standeth sure having this seal The lord
knoweth them that are his And also, uh from malachi 3 17. They
shall be mine saith the lord when I make up my jewels It is
hard blasphemy to assert any soul may go to hell whom the
spirit has sealed with the broad seal of heaven Number two, are
we thus sealed by the Spirit? Then let our souls adore His
eternal power and Godhead and praise Him for His work in us. What power short of omnipotent
could open our blind eyes, quicken our dead souls, subdue our rebellious
wills, and bring our proud, self-righteous hearts to submit to the righteousness
of Christ and to receive Him for our whole salvation? Has
the Spirit sealed us as the sons of God and possessed our hearts
with the peace of God through faith in Christ? Number three,
beware that you do not grieve the Spirit. Do we bear the impress
of the Spirit's seal upon our hearts? O ye sealed ones of God,
be singular for God. Be exemplary in your lives before
God. Consider whose image and superscription
you bear. Sink not below your dignity. Shun vanity fair. Avoid what
gratifies the flesh. Flee the scenes of folly. Leave
them to souls who know not the love of your Savior. Live in
the Spirit and walk in the Spirit. Number four, sealed believer,
knowing that this sealing of the Spirit is the finishing grace
of the covenant of love. As it is written in Colossians
2.10, ye are complete in Christ. Your title is cleared to the
heavenly inheritance. Live by faith upon the comfort
of it. Reject all doubts and fears concerning
it. Soon you shall possess it. Lay
hold on eternal life. See 1 Timothy 6.12. May the blessed spirit in my
heart sweetly diffuse abroad the love of God, the incarnate
God, who bought me with his blood. May I never once forget what
a poor worm I am from death and hell redeemed by blood the blood
of God's dear lamb Praise God that was from old-timer preacher

be happier, and God would be more glorified. Let us daily
praise God for common mercies, common as we frequently call
them, and yet so priceless that when deprived of them, we are
ready to perish." I don't know who wrote that, but that was
pretty intense. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22, where our Lord
Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends
of the earth, for I am God and there is none else. The master,
our Lord Jesus Christ says again in Matthew 11, verses 28 through
30, Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn
of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest
unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden
is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while He may be found, and seek Him while He
is near, only by being in Christ, the ark of our salvation. May we be delivered from the
fierce wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the
