This sermon centers on the transformative, divine moment—'that day'—when a person, dead in sin, is awakened by the Holy Spirit to faith in Christ, marking the beginning of eternal life. Rooted in Isaiah 12, it emphasizes that salvation is entirely God's work: not earned by human effort, but freely given through grace, revealed in the person and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Holy One of Israel. This gospel day, ordained by God for His elect, brings profound joy, peace, and assurance, as believers now trust in Christ alone, knowing His anger has been turned away and His salvation is their strength and song. The message calls all to look away from self and religious striving, and instead to believe in Christ, drink from the wells of salvation, and live in the confidence of eternal life, knowing that God's promises are sure and His glory is exalted in the midst of His people.

Open your Bibles, if you would, to Isaiah chapter 12. Do you know there's a day in every believer's life? Now, some of us can remember that day. Some of us can't. We were talking about that last night. I don't know the exact date that the Lord saved me, but that doesn't matter. I know he saved me. Some people can put a date on it. I can't. I know I was in darkness. And then I was bought to life, Isaiah chapter 12, Isaiah chapter 12.

I was dead in trespasses and sins, and then I was made alive by God the Holy Spirit, given faith to believe on the one, the one who I never even thought of hardly before, the one who I cussed his name, the one who didn't matter anything to me, and now he's everything to me. His name is the Lord Jesus Christ. Who made me to differ? Who made you to differ, beloved? Only God. Only God made us to differ. We're going to read verses 1 to 6. Let's stand up together. And we'll read Isaiah chapter 12, verses 1 to 6 together. Here's the message in that day. Oh, there's a day for every believer when we're gonna hear the gospel. Look at this.

And in that day, thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee. Though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortest me. Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord Jehovah is my strength, and my song, he also is become my salvation. Therefore, with joy shall you draw water out of the wells of salvation.

And in that day shall you say, praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord, for he hath done excellent things. This is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitants of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Oh, my. What a short chapter, but what a powerful chapter, eh? You know, I could preach for months on this portion of Scripture. Oh, it's wonderful, isn't it? Look at that, in that day. So there's a day. There's a day, one day we don't know anything about Christ, and the next day we're rejoicing in Christ. Ain't that wonderful? And that's all because of God. All because of his mighty working.

Now in every believer's life, there's a but God, remember Ephesians chapter two, tells us we're dead and trespasses the sins without hope, but God, who's rich in mercy, that's this day. That's this day spoken of right here. And in every believer's life, there's a day when God has ordained that we shall hear the gospel.

And we'll never be the same again. We're ruined for the world, as I mentioned in Sunday school. We're ruined for false gospels. And we only want Christ. That's all we want. Remember, Paul said, I'm determined not to preach anything among you but Christ and Him crucified. He didn't come to tell you, well, you got to do this and you got to do that. He came to preach Christ, look to Christ in everything, in everything. Let's look at verse one again. It says, and in that day, we see here, thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee. Thou was angry with me, and thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortest me.

My, remember how we used to fear death? Have you ever feared death? Now, Mike and I were talking about, we don't know how the Lord's gonna take us out, right? No one knows that. And if we did, we try to avoid it, right? But we know that he has given us a comfort now, that death doesn't have the sting that it once had. And as Jim used to say, when you're dying, God will give you dying grace. We don't have that right now because we're not dying, right? But when we are, he'll give it to us. He'll give it to us. Oh my.

And there's a day that God has chosen for his people to hear the gospel. There's a time that God has chosen for his people to hear the gospel. He's appointed a time for every one of his sheep, the day that they will hear the truth and be given ears to hear and eyes to see Christ through the preaching of the gospel. It's wondrous. So the first point is there's a gospel day for every believer.

There's a gospel day for every one of God's elect that they will hear the gospel. and they shall be saved, because they'll be born again by the God of the Holy Spirit, and they'll believe the truth of the gospel, which is that Christ died 2,000 years ago for sinners. And then we find out we're one of them. And we cast ourselves upon him, don't we? Because God gives us faith to run to him, to flee to him.

Mike had a good analogy that he told me. I'm gonna use that analogy, Mike. People say, well, with election, God saw a bunch of birds on a wire, right? Bunch of crows, you said, right? Bunch of crows on a wire. And he just went and went, nope, nope, yep, nope, yep. But you know what? You know where God found those crows? Dead on the ground. And he said, live. Live. He put them on the wire.

See, religion thinks that when you try to explain to them election, they think that God just chose some and chose everybody else to go to hell. No. He doesn't have to do anything for man to go to hell. He just has to leave us where we are. And where are we? Well, we're dead. Like those birds, we're dead on the ground.

And he says, live. He said, Tom, live. Wayne, live. Karen, live. That's amazing. Thank you for telling me that, Mike, too, because it's so clear, isn't it? It's so clear. We're already dead in trespasses and sins. And he makes us alive. But God, who's rich in mercy, we're born again by the Holy Spirit of God. Wonderful. My, that makes grace just incredible, doesn't it? Makes election amazing. Because it's all the work of God. And then we say, why me? Well, because it pleased him to do so. Which we're still in awe of. It's amazing. Over in Luke, turn if you would to Luke. chapter 19, and then put your finger in Ezekiel chapter 11. Ezekiel chapter 11.

In that day, we are born again by the Holy Spirit of God. And is it by praying a prayer or walking the Nile? No. It's a heart work that God does. Right? We go for not believing one minute, to believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Sister, I'm gonna use you as an example. You sat in the Grace Church for years, heard the true gospel preached, had no effect on you. And then one day, you too, Travis, right? You came to church with Karen, and the Lord saved you guys. Isn't that amazing? At the exact day and time, under the preacher that he ordained, And the preacher's just an instrument. We're just a mouthpiece. It doesn't matter which preacher was preaching.

Now, it does happen to be that we become endeared to them. I heard the gospel through Henry through Sermon Audio. I never got to meet the man, but he's very dear in my heart. Vicki heard the gospel when Donny Bell preached, and Donny's very dear to us.

But he's an instrument, right? Just like Norm is, too, and just like I am. We're all just instruments in the Lord's hands. He's the physician. We're like a scalpel. He does whatever he pleases with us, he does. We just trumpet the message out and God does the saving. It's absolutely amazing.

Look at this in Luke chapter 19. Remember Zacchaeus? He had to climb a tree. Look what the Lord said to him. This was his gospel day. Luke 19, verses nine and 10. And Jesus said unto him, This day, his salvation come to this house, for as much as he is also a son of Abraham. My, for the son of man has come to seek and to save that which was what?

Lost. Zacchaeus was one of the lost sheep of God. Just like every believer was a lost sheep, now we're a found sheep. And who found us? Christ. We weren't looking for him. We weren't seeking him. But he found us, didn't he? And then he made us willing. Then we ran to him.

Because in the day of his power, I could have named this message the day of his power, the day of God's power. In the day of God's power, he made us willing. When's the day of God's power? When we're born again. Isn't that wondrous? It's absolutely wondrous.

Look at over in Ezekiel. Let's turn to Ezekiel chapter 11. Ezekiel chapter 11. Look at this. This is incredible. Rejoice, beloved of God. It's in that day, when we're born again, we're given a new heart. A new heart that now hungers and thirsts after Christ. Look at this. We have a new spirit in us. The Holy Spirit of God. Look at this, Ezekiel chapter 11. Verses 17 to 20. Therefore say, thus saith the Lord God. Look at the I wills here.

I will gather you from the people. That's speaking of his elect. I will, there's no doubt, is there? There's not, well, maybe if you let me. No, God says, I will. I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna gather you from the people. and assemble you out of the countries. Oh my, you mean the Gentiles are included? Yep. My, out of every tribe, kindred, tongue, and nation, God has a people. Ah, where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the destitute things thereof, and all the abominations thereof from thence. And I will give them one heart." Look at that, one heart.

Who do we worship? There's only one God. There's only one Savior, isn't there? And when we're born again of the Holy Spirit of God, we have one object to worship. See, we used to worship ourselves, didn't we? We used to feed the flesh. Now we desire to worship Christ.

God takes a rebel and turns him into a praiser. Oh my, that's amazing. That's amazing. They have one heart and I will put a new spirit within you. We're born again by the Holy Spirit of God. And I will take the stony heart of flesh and will give them a heart of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh, a new heart to hungers and thirsts after Christ. That they may walk in my statutes. See, without being born again, we don't desire to walk in God's ways, do we? But now we sin more than we want to. But praise God, our salvation is not dependent upon what we've done, but what Christ has done. Isn't that glorious? It's wondrous.

And they shall. He doesn't say, well, if they decide to be my people, If they walk an aisle and pray a prayer, it doesn't say that. It says, they shall be my people. Because God makes us his people. Now somebody says, well, I exercise my free will. Well, you have a will and I have a will. I will not deny that. But our will is bound to our nature.

And if we have a dead nature, which is talked about here as the stony heart of our flesh, we will try to work our way to heaven by something we do. But when we're born again by the Holy Spirit, he gives us a new heart that desires to walk in the statutes and keep his ordinances. and to do them, and they shall be my people. And look at this, and I will be their God.

Now that was said before any of us were saved, wasn't it? And look at what we are. We're born again by his spirit. What mercy? Because there was a day, there was a day when we heard the gospel. We're born again of his Holy Spirit. We desire to walk in his ways, to please him. And God says, God says this, you're mine. You're mine according to my grace. You're mine according to my mercy. You're mine by creation. in your mind by purchase. And you can be with me forever.

All because of what he's done. See, we get our eyes off ourself, don't we? We get our eyes on... Scott used to say, we look out from ourselves and we look upward to God. Religion tells you to look inward. Something you gotta fix all the time, something you gotta do all the time. Grace says, it's already done. Look to Christ and live.

That's glorious, isn't it? That's true freedom, that's true rest, isn't it? That's why the Lord said, come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden, I'll give you rest. See, he knows that in our natural state, we labor trying to please God. But then we learn in the gospel that our king says, this is my beloved son, hear ye him. Just look to Christ, listen to him. That's true freedom, isn't it?

We're not bound by chains of works. We're not bound by chains of religiosity. Freddie and I know a fella, and he's always talking about how the churches are so bad and all this stuff, and basically, you can boil it down to he's presenting works, because he even says, if you dress a certain way, well, then you might not be a believer. That's works, beloved.

That's bondage. And I know Freddie and I, we just keep presenting Christ to him. We just keep saying, look to Christ. He's the only hope. He really is. I'm not here to preach denominationalism, I'm here to preach Christ. Right? The true Christ, who's sovereign, who came to save his people because he loved them from eternity. Isn't that amazing? Oh my. It's absolutely amazing.

So when we're born again by the Holy Spirit of God, we're given a new view of ourselves. We see ourselves now as sinners. And don't think that when the Lord saves you, you stop sinning. I know we don't believe that, but there's folks out there who believe that. No, we're still, we're just sinners saved by grace, aren't we? That's all we are. And so we can go out and tell others about Christ and say, you know, Christ saved sinners, he saved me. Now we don't desire to go out and cause a ruckus. We don't desire that.

No. We desire to walk in the ways of the Lord. But we're still just sinners saved by grace. My. Turn if you would to Galatians chapter one. Galatians chapter one. So we get a view of ourselves that we never knew before when the Lord saves us. We get a new view of who God is, don't we?

We really do. And we're still learning that, aren't we? We're still learning how great he is, how majestic he is, how worthy he is of our praise. We're still learning that. And remember, the only thing that God has revealed to us about himself is in this word. There's so much more about him, we don't even know and never will. We're just scratching the surface.

There's so much in this book. Do you know that it says that if everything was written about Christ, that the world couldn't contain the books about him? If all the things were written about what he's done, the world itself couldn't contain all the books that would be written about him. My. That's a lot of books. My.

So on a day of God's power, we flee to Christ, don't we? We're made willing by God's power, and we flee to Christ. And we find out that he's the only savior of sinners, and we find out we're sinners, and we need him. My, my hope is someone's listened to this or will listen to this, that it may be their gospel day. that God the Holy Spirit would use the preaching of his word to save sinners. Look at this in Galatians chapter one.

Now this day is, do you know this day that we hear the gospel? And again, a lot of us can't pinpoint when that day was, but we know we were unbelievers and now we're believers. Right? Do you know this day is set by God? And he opened our ears. See, does God do everything on purpose? He isn't doing nothing by accident, does he? No. When Adam fell, did he go, oh my, I gotta go to plan B now?

No. He'd already had a lamb slain from before the foundation of the world, whose name was the Lord Jesus Christ. And he was pictured when God killed those animals and then clothed them in the animal skins, which pictures us being clothed in the righteousness of Christ.

My, look at this in Galatians 1, verses 11 to 17. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. It's not man-based, it's not man-made. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ, we looked at this this morning, that the gospel must be revealed to us or we will never know it.

For ye have heard of my conversion in times past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church. He wasted the church. He destroyed the church. His whole mission was to kill Christians, stamp them out, Look what he says here. Beyond measure. Beyond anyone else's measure. I persecuted the church of God and wasted it. Wasted there in the Greek is destroy. And profited in the Jews religion above many mine equals. He was a rich man. He was a rich Pharisee. He was in religion. And profited above many my equals in mine own religion, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

How, when it pleased God, He separated me from my mother's womb and called me by His grace, look at that, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the brethren. Immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood. Look at that. Who'd it please to separate Him? God, who did the separating? God, who made us to differ from everybody else that we know? God. He's the only one. Says to reveal his son in me.

That's the member we looked at this morning, the mystery of the gospel being revealed to us. that I might preach him among the heathen immediately. I conferred not with flesh and blood. So he didn't go back to Jerusalem, look at this, neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me, but I went into Arabia and returned again unto Damascus. He didn't go and seek the apostles' approval. He'd been saved by God, he'd been given a message by God.

My. So at the appointed time of God, Every one of God's sheep at the appointed time will hear the gospel, will have Christ revealed to them. Think of that. The only reason we had Christ revealed to us is because we're one of his sheep. That's amazing all in itself, isn't it? My.

So who gets all the glory from that? God gets it all, doesn't he? I can't glory in what I've done for him? I can't glory in what I preach for him. It's all him. He gets all the glory. Remember I told you when I first got here, Jean-Claude, the missionary, said to me, one thing he told me, I'll never forget it. Tell it to young preachers, tell it to old preachers. Always remember Christ gets the preeminence. In what you say and what you do, he gets it all. Isn't that wonderful? He gets it all, doesn't he? In this church, he gets all the preeminence.

It's not about me, it's not about you, it's about him. And here we are, a bunch of saved believers rejoicing with one heart in the one savior of sinners, the Lord Jesus Christ, all because it pleased God to do so. And there might be someone sitting here who does not know Christ.

Run to him, flee to him. Cast yourself upon his mercy. And you'll find peace and joy and rest for your soul. Well, how do I do that? Just look to him. Just look to him. And I know if you look to him, God's given you faith to believe. Right? My. My, oh my. Let's read.

Isaiah chapter 12, verse 1, once again. What is the result of this wonderful day? What is the result of the wonderful gospel day that occurs in every believer's life? Look at this. Isaiah 12, 1. And in that day, thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee. Well, that was angry with me, and that anger is turned away, and thou comfortest me. Look at that.

We have a new song in our hearts, don't we, Sister Carolyn? We have a new song in our hearts that we never had before the Lord saved us. We have a peace that passes all understanding, which we never had before the Lord saved us. Sure, we go through trials in this life, rough trials, But we have a hope, don't we?

And that's the Lord Jesus Christ. And look at what it says here. Thou was angry with me, and thine anger is turned away. So we deserve the wrath of God to fall upon us, didn't we? For our sins. That would be just. For those who believe, where did God's anger fall upon? It fell upon Christ. The wrath of God fell upon Christ in our room and place. And he bore it all. The sinless, spotless lamb of God offers himself up as a sin offering. Perfect, spotless. And God is pleased with the sacrifice of the son. For who? For all the elect of all the ages.

I had someone, I told them that God didn't die for everyone. They blew a gasket on me. And I said, well, if God died for everyone and his people in hell, then he's a failure. And they had never thought of that. And I said, but if God died for his people and they're in heaven, then he's a successful savior.

And we know that in Isaiah it says, he shall not fail. He's gonna take every one of his sheep home. He died for his sheep, beloved. And we're in awe and wonder of that, aren't we? I'm not special. I'm just a sinner saved by grace. But in God's eyes, I'm valuable. You know that saying, precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his saints? Precious there is valuable. Why are we valuable to the Lord?

Because he purchased us with his blood. He gave his life for us. Willingly. Because he's loved us with an everlasting love. Let that sink in. That there's never been a time when God hasn't loved his people. Never. Even when we were dead in sins. He still loved us. We didn't know it, did we? And now that we know it, we only know it with our little finite minds, and it just makes our minds fizz, doesn't it?

To know that God's loved me from eternity? Remember Jeremiah? I've loved you with an everlasting love. Those are God's words to his people. I've loved you with an everlasting love. He's loved us from eternity. That's humbling. but yet what joy it fills our hearts with.

You know, when I was in religion, I don't know if it was so for you, but when I was in religion, and something bad happened in Vicki and I's life, I thought, well, God's mad at me. I didn't pray before I ate, or I didn't give enough, or I didn't do this. He's pulling the whip out. God doesn't operate that way, do you know that?

The anger towards his people has already been appeased. The anger for our sins has been taken away. And he's not ordained us to wrath, but to everlasting life in Christ. He ordained that Christ would bear our sins and that the wrath of God and the justice of God that demanded our death fell upon our King. He ordained all that. Wonder of wonders. We have great cause to rejoice, don't we, beloved? Christ did this for us because he's loved us with an everlasting love. Did we deserve that love? No. Did we merit that love?

Nope. Did we seek that love? Nope. He just gave it to us. Oh my. We have a wonderful message, don't we? Of grace. God's grace. My. His anger is turned away, beloved. And we also know some things. Some people say, well, can you know that you're forgiven? Yep, turn, if you would, to 1 John. 1 John.

People say, well, you're being awful presumptuous thinking that. Nope, I'm not being presumptuous at all. I believe what God's word says. Right? And when I don't understand it, I still bow to it, because it's his word. And I pray you give me a little more understanding about that. And whenever the word of God comes against something you feel, the only one who's wrong is us. Because God's word is true, right?

It's true. Look at this, I love this. This is mountaintop scripture for me here. 1 John 5, starting in verse 11 and going to verse 13. 1 John 5, 11 to 13. Look at this, beloved. This will make your heart sing. And this is the record that God hath given to us, eternal life. And this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son, what? Hath life. Doesn't say might have life. It says hath life. Isn't that beautiful? Hath life.

And he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life. Now that is, I'm a black and white guy, that's pretty black and white, isn't it? He's saying if you have Christ, more importantly if Christ has you, then you have life. But if you don't have Christ, you don't have any life.

Come on. These things have I written unto you that believe in the name of the Son of God that you may what? You may know. You know, we know some things we didn't know before. This is one of them. You may know that you have eternal life. I can walk out these doors and say, I have eternal life in Jesus Christ, my Lord. Well, how do I know that? Because God's revealed that to me. And I believe it. And it's not true because I believe it, it's true because God says it. Right? Look what he says.

These things have I written unto you, that ye believe on the name of the Son of God, and that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. See, someone who doesn't believe on the Son of God doesn't have eternal life. Plain and simple. But if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ according to this scripture, and I mean the true Jesus, I'm not talking about the one who wants to save you but can't, Talking about the God of the Bible.

And we take people at their words, right? They say, I believe in Jesus. We're taking them at their word, aren't we? Yes. Believe on the name of the Son that you may know that you have eternal life. Well, where's eternal life? In Christ. Only in Christ. Not in anything I do.

And that you may believe on the Son of God. Now that's a gift of God, isn't it? To believe on the Son. And what comfort this can be for us when we're faced with a trial, when we're faced with different situations in our life. What comfort this can be that we know God because He's revealed Himself to us.

This is glorious. My. So is there any reason to wonder why the Christian rejoices in this wonderful truth? No. This is amazing. Is there any reason why we should be amazed that the Christian has a new song in their heart? No. Because we've had this revealed to us and we're in awe of what Christ has done for us. For me. And you may know that you have eternal life. Who are you trusting? Who are you trusting right now? Mine.

We can't even find the words to explain what a wonderful, merciful Savior the Lord Jesus Christ is to us. John 21, 25 says, And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if it should be written, every one, I suppose, that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. The world couldn't contain the things about our Savior.

And we're in awe and wonder of the little bit we know. There's so much more to Him. Oh, it's incredible. My. And yet He's revealed Himself to us. He saved us from our sins. And we're simply to tell others about the great things that God had done for us. That's all. Just tell others about our King. Next question is, who is our salvation?

You know, oftentimes you ask someone, well, when were you saved? Oh, I prayed a prayer back here, way back here. I didn't ask you if you prayed a prayer. I'm asking you when the Lord saved you. And then you ask people, well, who saved you? And they say, well, Jesus saved me.

And I like to say this to folks all the time. I say, was it by accident or on purpose? And I say this often to people who come against election. I say, well, was it by accident God saved you or was it on purpose? And they say, well, it was on purpose. And I say, well, that's election. Right? Do you know God saved us on purpose? And do you know the one who saved us is God?

There's no greater being than God. We can't even imagine. He dwells outside of time and space. He's not constrained. We're constrained by time and space. He's outside of all that. The scripture says the heavens can't contain Him. That's who saved us, beloved. Now if he saves a person, can he keep them? Oh yeah, it's nothing to him. Keeping a piece of animated dust is nothing to him, right? He controls the stars. All the worlds that flow around stars that we don't even know about. We're getting these new telescopes, right? And they're like, oh, look at this.

It's always been there for God's glory. Why does God make a flower in the middle of the Amazon that no human being will ever see to manifest His glory? Don't we look at the mountains and such and the Great Lakes and all these places? Do we not see as believers the mighty hand of God? That's who saved us from our sins.

And I know, Norm, when he went up to, to Oregon said, I got one message. It's true, right? We preachers got one message. We play Henry. You say we play a one string fiddle and that's Christ. That's Christ. Look at this. Look at Isaiah chapter 12 verse two. Look at this.

You know who saved us? Jehovah saved us. Jehovah the son saved us. The Lord Jehovah. Look what it says here. Behold, God is my salvation. So if anyone asks you, well, who saved you? God. God saved me. God is my salvation. And that's not being presumptuous. That's what the scripture says, right? God is my salvation. God who spoke the universe into existence.

I was talking to somebody about the Big Bang recently, and they said, well, certain gases and matter came together. I said, well, where did that come from? Well, it had to come from somewhere, right? You can't make something out of nothing. Only God can do that. Right? I said, it had to come from somewhere. Well, it came from Jehovah. He's the one who spoke it all into existence. My, oh my, isn't God great? Isn't He glorious?

This is our Savior, beloved. Let us remember this. When trials come, when temptations come, when troubles come, the Lord Jehovah is my salvation. Let's read that verse. Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song. He's also become my salvation. Why would God put I will trust and not be afraid?

Because oftentimes we're afraid. We're just flesh. And this is something we have to remind ourselves, isn't it? I'm not going to be afraid because God's in control. I have to remember myself all the time. Lord, you're in control. Something crazy breaks out over here. Lord, you're in control. I want to be aware of it, but I ain't going to stress out about it. And we can pillow our head at night, can't we, Brother Tom, in God's sovereignty, knowing that he's in full control. Look at that, though.

Behold, God is my salvation, the perfect, spotless Lamb of God. The God-man, the Lord Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, is my salvation. And if you're a believer, he's your salvation. That's wondrous. God himself. God himself. And what is he? He's all our salvation, isn't he? I can't claim one other to my salvation. It's all God.

I was going this way. Right? If he hadn't saved me, I was hell bound. Even though I found out now that I wasn't appointed to wrath, but that's what I deserve for my sins. And he turned me, and oh my. Now we spend the rest of our life just looking to him, don't we? Notice I didn't say working. Just looking to him.

I'll never forget what Exodus told me. Neal said to Exodus, It's not about what you have to do, it's just look to Christ and rest in Christ. That's the most wonderful thing we can say to someone. Just look to Christ. Just look to Him. He's the only salvation for sinners. And that's what God's, have you noticed that God's teaching us, through grace, to look away from ourselves? And to just keep looking to Him. Just keep looking to Him. Look at this. He's my strength and my salvation. And notice that. Look at this.

The Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song. He also has become my salvation. Well, how did He become my salvation? When He revealed Himself to me and saved my soul. And the Gospel day was born again. And one day I was an unbeliever and the next day I was a believer.

That's the work of God. Only he can do that, beloved. And we're in awe of that. This wonderful salvation comes to us in Christ Jesus, our Lord, and through him. My. Aren't you thankful that God, God the Son, when he was on this earth, that he met together with publicans and sinners? I'm sure glad, because that's me. And that shows me that there's hope for my family members and friends, too, as long as they're breathing. Right? Just keep pointing them to Christ.

And notice in Isaiah 12, too, that Christ the Lord, it's Christ the Lord who's our God, that is all of our salvation. That leads us out of the equation, beloved. That we can't earn our salvation, we don't merit our salvation. God gives it to whomever He pleases. And we're amazed that He's given it to us. He's all our salvation. Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song. He also has become my salvation. That's wonderful. That's absolutely wonderful.

Before we were saved, if we were in religion, we mingled grace with works, which is not grace. It's works. Now we just trust in Christ, don't we? We just rest in Christ, who has become all our salvation. All of it. Everything. What peace that can give us. What joy that can give us. I don't have to argue with people of different persuasions.

I just have to present Christ to them and set Christ before them. And you know, Mike and I were talking about this last night. Let us always remember that the people were setting Christ before was us before the Lord saved us. That's where we came from. We may have been religious, a lot of us. A lot of us were in religion. Some of us weren't. But we were all lost sinners, weren't we?

And now here we are gathered together. We who believe and work save sinners. It's wondrous, all because of God's great work. My, he's the author and the finish of our salvation. He's everything in our salvation, all of it. Next point is there's great joy and comfort in joy in the wells of salvation. When you're going through trials and tribulations, take from the wells of salvation, which is Christ. Take the promises of God and hold them close. I'll never leave you nor forsake you. Hold it close. I'll never cast you away. Hold it close. God is my refuge and my strength. Hold it close.

Right? Spurgeon used to say, take the promises and pray them back to God. I like that. I like that a lot. These are promises he gave. You remember, people say, well, those promises in the Old Testament, they were for the old Israel. No, they were for God's elect. That's who they're for. How do we know that? Somebody say, well, how do you know that?

All the promises of God are yea and amen in Christ. Corinthians brings that forth. That's wonderful. So those promises are ours. My, let's lay a hold of them. Oh, you can buy yourself a little book even with God's promises. They're beautiful. I have multiple copies if you want one, let me know. But it's wonderful. It's wonderful, the promises that God gives his people.

And those are the wells of salvation that we can take during times of trouble and despair and temptations and trials and drink of the well, drink of the water of life, right? Here's a scripture for you. In that day, oh, in that day, there's that day again. In that day, there shall be a fountain opened. A fountain opened. Ah, to the house of David, to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness. That's the fountain of Christ's blood, beloved.

My, and then over in John 4.14, the Lord says this, Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water, being the She's talking to the lady at the well, and he says, if people drink of this water, they're gonna be thirsty again. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst. That I shall give him shall be in him, that water will be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Isn't that beautiful?

Christ is the water of life for us. Think of this, he's the bread, he's the water. Everything we need is in him. Everything we need. It's glorious. And the Holy Spirit, when he draws someone to Christ, we're made to come and drink from the water of life.

To plunge into the fountain of his blood. Listen to this, someone wrote this. Think on this, think on this. When God the Holy Spirit is drawing us to Christ, when we come to Christ and drink from the fountain spoken of here, then drawing, asking, coming all melt into one simple word, believing. Drawing, I love this, asking, coming. coming, all melt into one simple word, believe. And what does Paul tell that Philippian jailer? He doesn't tell him he's got something to do.

He says, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved. And that's my message today. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved. And we who have who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, we still call upon his name all the time, don't we? We still go to those wells of salvation in the scriptures and drink of the water of life, which is Christ. My, look at verse four to six of Isaiah chapter 12.

And in that day you shall say, praise the Lord. That's something we never said before. The Lord saved us. Call upon his name, declare his doings among the people. Make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord, for he hath done excellent things. He saved us by his redeeming blood.

This is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou in heaven's design. That's the church, that's God's elect. I love this. For great is the Holy One of Israel. That's one of his titles. You know, the demons said, we know who thou art, thou Holy One of God. They knew who he was. He's the Son of God. He's God. And we can tell others, God is my salvation. Praise the name of Jesus. What a Savior, what a Redeemer. Amen and amen.
