Good evening. Turn, if you will,
tonight in your Bibles to Luke's Gospel chapter 10. Luke chapter
10. We'd like to begin reading at
verse 1 and then skip down to verse 17. Luke chapter 10. In verse 1, we're told, After
these things, the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent
them to and to, before his face into every city and place, whether
he himself would come. And they went out, preached the
gospel, healed the sick, and then they returned." Verse 17.
And the 70 returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils
are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them,
I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto
you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the
power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
notwithstanding, in this rejoice not that the spirits are subject
unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written
in heaven." In that hour, Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said,
I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou
hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and has revealed
them on debates. Even so, father, for so it seemed
good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto
me of my father, and no man knoweth who the son is, but the father,
and who the father is, but the son, and he to whom the son will
reveal him. And he turned him unto his disciples
and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things
that you see. For I tell you that many prophets
and kings have desired to see those things which ye see and
have not seen them, and to hear those things which you hear and
have not heard them. The title of my message is A
Blessed Revelation. A Blessed Revelation. I hear people talk, or used to,
not so much anymore, I don't travel in those circles, but
about great mysteries of the Bible. Here people debate about
it, write books about it, about that person in Revelation, that
number of a man being 666. Oh, that's deep. That's mysterious. I wonder if there's any way we
can know that. People spend so much time concerning prophecy
for some reason that intrigues people. Study about the last
days and signs of the times. And just recently we were all
bombarded with that fellow in California who claimed to have
figured out the date, the very time, the very hour of our Lord's
second coming, which obviously proved wrong. But our Lord here
in Luke's Gospel chapter 10 speaks of something more wonderful than
that, a greater revelation than any of those things, if we could
know them, which we can't, but a greater revelation than any
of those things we mentioned or anything else, and that is
the revelation that He gives of Himself to some people. Not everybody, because he said
here in his rejoicing, in his prayer of praise to the Father,
you've hid these things from some. That is who you are and
who I am, but you've revealed them to others. The greatest
revelation that can come to a darkened soul is when God Almighty, by
His Spirit, is pleased to do what they can never do for themselves. and that is reveal Christ to
their soul. I was listening to Dave Coleman's
CD. I listened to it so much, but
the first song on that CD is, Remind Me, Dear Lord. He says, Lord, remember I'm human,
and humans forget. So remind me. Draw back the curtain
of memory now and then, and show me where you brought me from.
and where I could have been. And that's where we would yet
be. Every one of us as believers would yet be in darkness had
God not been pleased to perform this miraculous revelation of
His Son to our souls. This is what the prophet Jeremiah
spoke of. You can turn there if you like,
Jeremiah chapter 9. One of my favorite verses of
scripture. God speaks. The Lord God speaks and He says
in verse 23 of Jeremiah 9, Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise
man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his
might. Let not the rich man glory in
his riches. Now we see that all the time.
I mean glory in those very things that God said don't glory in.
Oh, but verse 24, But let him that glorieth glory in this,
here's glory ground. He gives us permission to glory
here. But let him that glorieth glory
in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, my soul. A man, a mere man, a man of the
dust can know the God of heaven. Yes, He can glory in that, that
I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and
righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight,
saith the Lord. Why is that so important? In
John chapter 17, our Lord Himself in His high priestly prayer,
that night just before His arrest, before He was betrayed by Judas,
He prays to His Heavenly Father, that he will shortly ascend back
to. And in verse 1 of John 17, our
Lord prays and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father,
the hour has come. Glorify thy son, that thy son
also may glorify thee, as thou hast given him power over some
flesh. No, thank God, no. Thou hast given him power over
A double L, all flesh. that He should give eternal life
to as many as Thou hast given Him. And this is life eternal,
that they might know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ,
whom Thou hast sent." Notice carefully that he says, and Jesus
Christ, because we can't know God unless we know Christ. There's no knowing God apart
from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. He told Philip, I think it was,
if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. Turn, if you will,
to Ephesians chapter 1. Paul writes to the church at
Ephesus. He says that he speaks of their
faith in Christ, but then he says, I pray that God will be
pleased to grant you more knowledge, more knowledge of Him. The old
hymn writer said, more about Jesus what I know. In verse 15
of Ephesians 1, Paul says, Wherefore I also, after I heard of your
faith, you have faith, you have faith, you believe, faith in
the Lord Jesus Christ and love unto all the saints, cease not
to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of him. But Paul, they had faith, O,
that they might have more, that God might be pleased to give
them a greater knowledge in the revelation of him. The eyes of
your understanding being enlightened, that you may know that you may
know, not doubt, but may know what is the hope of his calling,
the calling of God's grace. There's hope there. There's a
good hope through grace. and what the riches of the glory
of His inheritance in the saints? And what is the exceeding greatness
of His power to usward who believe? It required the power of God.
And Paul says the same power that God exerted in raising His
Son from the dead is the same power that He does for a believer
in Him when He grants him faith to believe on His Son. which
he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and
set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places." One
more, Philippians chapter 3. Philippians chapter 3. Paul has
spoken of his past, his heritage, what he once trusted in, and
he says, He looks back on it and counts it all but done, all
as done rather. Verse 7, but what things were
gained to me, that is my being of the stock of Abraham of the
tribe of Benjamin and Hebrew of the Hebrews, a Pharisee, what
things were gained to me, those I counted lost for Christ. Because at that time, even having
all that pedigree, Having all that to boast in, all that I
trusted in, Paul said, I was blind as I could be. I was lost
as I could be. Yea, doubtless, I count all things
but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus
my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do
count them but done that I may win Christ and be found in him. Wrapped up in him not having
mine own righteousness, which is of the law But that which
is through the faith of Christ the righteousness, which is of
God by faith that I may know him All him with Paul isn't that's
all the man ever talked about Rex was him That's all he ever
wanted to know was him That's all he ever preached was him. Wherever he went, not just Corinth,
but wherever, he was determined to know and to preach nothing
but Jesus Christ. And he says, even as an apostle,
after many years, has this grown stale to Paul? Has he found something
better? Is there a greater attraction
to his heart than anything other than Christ? And he says, no,
nothing greater, nothing better, that I may know Him and the power
of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings being made
confirmable unto His death. Now back to Luke 10. Our Lord
says not everyone has this blessed revelation. God is not pleased
to give it to everyone. Not everyone knows God. Not everyone
knows Christ. Some people live and die in darkness. A lot of folks, we know many,
from time to time have religious spasms, but that's not what we're
talking about. What Christ speaks up here requires
the miracle of God's grace, this revelation of Himself and Christ. And we were learned first from
our Lord's words that Christ is both the illuminator, He says
nobody knows the Father, save to whom the Son will reveal Him.
Christ is both the illuminator of men blind by nature. He must
open blinded eyes. He must open the eyes so we remain
where He finds us, where we are by nature in darkness. In darkness. And what I mean
by that, spiritual darkness. Blind to ourselves, who we really
are. We see that all around us. We
hear it all the time. Men are blinded to their true
condition. That's why they speak of salvation
as being an easy thing, dawg. Easy. Simple as A-B-C. You heard that all your life.
I did too. But when God turned the light
on, I didn't find it easy at all, Alan. I didn't find it easy. I found it impossible. I found
it impossible to find Christ. I found it impossible to believe
on Christ until God Almighty gave me the miracle of faith,
just as He did Simeon. Christ must open blinded eyes
or we remain in darkness. Blind to ourselves, who we really
are. Blind as to who God really is. Blind as to what salvation really
is. And that is to know Christ. Verse 21 tells us that God must
turn the light on. No matter how smart a man may
be otherwise, in anything else, he can't know God. He can't know
God unless God is pleased to reveal Himself to him. Thou has
revealed. You've not hidden from everyone. Oh no, you have revealed Him
unto Babes, all the weak things, the despised things, the things
that are not, all you've revealed them unto babes. You've shown
the world the matchless wonder of your grace and shall yet show
it in revealing Jesus Christ to babes. God must declare, just
as He did in the original creation, let there be light. literally translated, it reads,
let light be and light is. That's how it reads. Let light be And light is. When God turns the light on,
He does for us what we can't do for ourselves. He does for
our loved ones what they can't do for themselves. When He turns
the light on, they realize for the first time in their life
who they are. I'm lost. I'm undone. I'm a wretch. I'm unclean. And they realize for the first
time in their life something about who God is. He's their
great and holy God. And how can I be just with Him? How is it possible that He can
have anything to do with me other than in a way of everlasting
wrath? Remember what Paul said in 2
Corinthians, God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
have shined into our hearts to give the revelation of the knowledge
of God in the face of who? Jesus Christ. Yes, Christ is
both the illuminator of God as well as the light itself. He
both gives light and is the light. He's both the revealer and the
revelation. He gives us light and then says,
behold, the Lamb of God. Behold, the Lamb of God. As old Newton said, I once was
blind. Oh, but now I see. And what do you see, Newton?
Oh, I see something about His amazing grace. He turned the
light on. He enabled me to see His Son. Oh, you have revealed it unto
babes. Look unto me, and be ye saved. For I am God, and there is none
else, a just God and Savior. Just about everyone we know.
And this religious day claims to see, but these two verses,
verses 21 and 22, tells us plainly, Christ himself tells us plainly,
that that's just not so. Oh, no. We don't want a religious
spasm. We must have Christ, really have
Christ, or we walk in darkness. No matter what we think, no matter
what we pretend, no matter what we know, it doesn't really matter. It's irrelevant if I don't know
him. It's all wrapped up in him. It's
all about him. That's why Paul said all that
other stuff, all that other stuff that I once trusted him. that
I was so secure in. He said, it's dumb, it's manure. What do you have now, Paul? If
you do away with that, what are you left with? Oh, I'm left with
everything because I have Christ. And I'm clothed in His righteousness.
I'm accepted and beloved. And He by God has made under
me everything I need today and tomorrow and in eternity. When
I stand before a holy God, I'll have enough because I have Christ. I'll be wrapped up in Christ,
His righteousness, and not mine. Oh, if we miss Christ, we miss
the only substitute there is for sinners. There's not another. We miss Christ and we miss the
only mediator there is between God and man. Imagine that. People talk about Mary as being
the mediator, and St. Paul and St. Peter as being mediators. Oh, isn't that sad? Can you imagine
standing before God as men will do, as Christ taught that men
will do in that day, that day that God has appointed, when
He'll usher all men before Him? And we're told in Matthew chapter
7, Christ said, many will say unto me, Lord, you know us. We
did many wonderful works in your name. And he said, I don't know
you. I never knew you. There's no
way they could know him if he didn't know them. He said, I
know my sheep. And they hear my voice. And they
know me. And they follow me. And they
won't follow a stranger. And he says to those people,
depart from me. Why? Because I never My oldest
son, Larry Dale, now works for Kentucky Central Blood, whatever
it is. I don't remember the whole name
of the place, but they go around drawing blood. He told me the
other day he had to be somewhere at 3 o'clock in the morning.
I think the Toyota plant in Georgetown. 3 o'clock in the morning. I said, man, so that's an odd
time to have to go draw blood. I said, don't y'all ever get
enough? And he said, no, never enough. Oh, but concerning that precious
blood that took away our sins, concerning that precious blood
that was the price of our redemption, God looks up on it. And Bob,
you know what he said? That's enough. That's enough. Oh, when I see the blood, not
when I see your works, when I see your repentance, when I see your
faith. No, but when I see the blood,
that's the reason I accept you. That's the reason I'm reconciled
to you. That's the reason you're redeemed.
That's the reason you'll enter glory. It's because of the precious
blood of the precious lamb of God. No wonder Paul said, oh,
that I might know him. Now look, if you will, at verse
23 again. Let's turn to family matters,
because it says, he turned unto him and his disciples and said,
privately, privately. And again, I think of David's
song I listened to driving here. Oh, Lord, help me to remember. Help me to remember. Blessed
are the eyes which see the things that you see. that you see. He's not speaking to everyone
now. No, he's speaking to his children,
his chosen, his beloved, his bride, those that God the Father
entrusted into the hands of our mediator before the world was
ever created. In that covenant of grace, that
covenant of everlasting grace, He entrusted our welfare into
the hands of His dear Son, and the Son promised in the fullness
of time, in that hour, in the fullness of time, He would come
and do everything necessary, become flesh of our flesh. Because
His brethren were flesh and blood, He likewise took part of the
same. He would live for them. He would die for them. He would
arise for them. He would ascend for them. He
would do everything for them to secure their everlasting salvation. Our Lord says to His children,
blessed are your eyes. Blessed are the eyes which see
the things that you see. All this blessed revelation.
What a sight! What a sight! Have you ever seen
anything like it since? Has there been anything since
that day that God turned the light on and enabled you to see
Christ? Enabled you to see Christ as
your substitute? Enabled you to embrace Him in
the arms of faith and take Him to be your very own? Have you
seen anything like that from that day to this? Oh, no. Only more of Him. My granddaughter,
Laurel, I've probably told y'all this before, but she still likes
pawpaw. She still has time for pawpaw. The teenagers don't, but she
still does. And I tell her when I'm on the
road, I said, Laurel, call me. Call me when I'm traveling, and
she always does. the phone will ring and she'll
have something to tell me. She's all excited. Call me the
other evening. Paw paw, paw paw. Guess what?
Guess what? School's starting. School's starting. Going to be in the first grade.
Be all excited about it. All brothers and sisters, be
excited about this. That God has been pleased that
reveal Christ to your soul. Listen, believer, blessed art
thou, blessed art thou, because God's done something for you. The psalmist said, when I consider
the heavens, the work of thine hands, and the moon and stars
that you have made, what is man compared to that? What is man
that you're mindful of him? Oh, but he is mindful, isn't
he? All he is mindful, more than
that, he's loved us with an everlasting love. One of the many hymns our
pastor wrote, does anybody know how many he's written? But one
says, my soul consider, my soul consider this great thought,
the wondrous works which God has wrought, his works from all
eternity, my God has done them all for me. My God has never,
never failed. His grace and power have prevailed. My heart, my soul, my life He
holds by sovereign grace within His fold. And the response of
the believer is this, and so, my God, I'll praise Your name,
exalt Your grace, and spread Your fame. Eternal sovereign
love and grace compel my heart to sing Your praise. What shall
I render unto the Lord, the psalmist said, for all His benefits toward
me? all to know Him. This is life
eternal, that they might know Thee, the only true God, and
Jesus Christ, whom Thou didst send." Brother Henry Mahan, I'd
like to share just a portion of an article that I saved, I
clipped from somewhere, that Henry wrote concerning faith
in Jesus Christ. A part of it says this, there
is a union, Oh, bless God, an everlasting union. Between Christ
and faith, it cannot be separated. Take away Christ from faith,
and faith is zero. It is nothing and stands for
nothing. Brethren, if our faith is not
in Christ, it's not faith, it's not the real thing. The hymn
writer said, my faith is found a resting place, not in device
nor creed. Oh, I trust the ever living one. His wounds for me shall plead. I don't need any other argument.
I don't need any other plea. It's enough, bless God. It's
enough that Jesus Christ has died, that He's bled for me. Oh, Henry went on to write, it
is nothing and stands for nothing. Apart from the person and work
of Jesus Christ, there's no such thing as saving faith. For Christ
is the bread of life. Faith is the mouth of the soul
that feeds on Him. Christ is the Savior lifted up.
Faith is the eye of the soul which looks to Him. Christ is
the bridegroom. Faith, like the bride, takes
Him by the hand and enters with Him into the wedding. Christ
is the garment of righteousness for the naked. Faith receives
Him and His holiness, and we're clothed in His righteousness
forever. Blessed are your eyes, for they
see. Notice, it's not a question,
is it? It's not a question. It's not
that they might see. They try to see. Oh, but when
God turns the light on, they do see. Bless God when he says,
let there be light, there will be light. There will be light. He revealed Himself to you, didn't
He? Was there ever a greater miracle?
Do you have to look any further than there? Yourself? He revealed
Himself to you. He was pleased to come to where
you were in utter darkness. spiritually blind, perhaps religious,
but still blind as you could be. And He turned a light on
and showed you your need of Him, showed you what you really were.
But bless God, He didn't stop there. Didn't. He didn't stop
there. He showed us what we were. It's
necessary. Painful, but necessary. He must
strip us, but He doesn't leave us naked, does He? He clothes
us in the righteousness of Christ. He brings us down, but then He
lifts us up. Lifts us up to the arms of Christ,
where we'll abide forever. Oh, I thought I might look at
three places. We'll have to be brief. Where
it speaks of this blessed revelation. And they're all in Luke. Let's
look just briefly at them. Turn first of all to Luke 18.
This is where we initially look to Christ and are saved. Luke
18. You're familiar with it. Blind
Bartimaeus. That's a picture of me by nature. Blind Bartimaeus. Couldn't see,
was a beggar, old justice demanding payment, and I had nothing to
pay. Our Lord told His disciples in
verse 31, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. He's on His way to
Jerusalem. He's on His way to be made sin,
that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. He surely shall
enter into the very presence of God and obtain, I like that
word, don't you? It sounds matter-of-fact, doesn't
it? It sounds sure. And obtain eternal redemption
for us. It shall happen, He said. And
He shall rise again. That's where He's going. When
this miracle takes place, that's where our Lord's going. He's
going up to Jerusalem. And on the way, He goes through
Jericho, and there's one poor blind beggar sitting there, and
he asks, what's the noise? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth
is passing by. He's passing by. And it's apparent
to me that Barnabas had heard of Christ, perhaps heard that
he had opened the eyes of other blind men. So he began to cry
out in his poverty, in his darkness, Jesus, thou son of David, have
mercy on me. Can't you just see him? Can't
you just see him? And lo and behold, Strangers
that is were told, they told him, shh, be quiet. Shh, shh. Be quiet? And they which went
before rebuked him that he should hold his peace, verse 39. Hold
his peace? Oh, that's what the devil says,
don't it? Shh, be quiet. Don't be disturbed. Oh, I mean,
after all, you don't know if you're elect, Lindsay. You better
just be quiet. You don't know if you're one
of God's chosen. You don't know if your name's
written in the Lamb's Book of Life. And I don't need to know. I know all that I need. I know
I'm lost. And I know only He can save me.
I know that He's passing by. Get out of my way. Jesus, Thou
Son of David, have mercy on me. And in Matthew's account, Luke
tells us in verse 40, And Jesus stood. Matthew says, And Jesus
stood still. Jesus stood still. He's on His
way to accomplish. I can't find words to emphasize
what a feat that is. He's going to satisfy divine
justice. Only He can. He's going to be
made sin. He's going to make atonement
for all the sins of all His people. And on His way to do that, He
hears the cry of one, just one poor blind beggar, and he's stomped
dead in his tracks, and says, come to me. Bring him to me. And oh, Brahmaus throws away
that cloak, and he comes to Christ. What do you want? Oh, I just
want to see. I want to receive my sight. Verse
42, And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight. Thy faith
hath saved thee. And look what it says in verse
43. Immediately. Immediately. I mean, no sooner
had the words flowed from our Savior's gracious lips than Bartimaeus
saw. He was standing there looking
right into the face of the one who said, Seed. Let light be,
and light is. And when they saw it, we're told
they gave praise unto God. You know the best thing? Turn,
if you will, to Luke chapter 24. The best thing you can do,
believer, after you've beheld the Lamb of God, is to behold
the Lamb of God. In Luke chapter 24, There's those
two disciples on the road to Emmaus. Oh, there's nothing like
a fresh sight of him for troubled saints. There's nothing like
a fresh sight of him as the cure for tried and troubled souls. In verse 16, or no, verse 15. And it came to pass that while
they communed together, these two disciples, and reasoned,
Jesus himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were
holden, that they should not know him. Oh, their eyes were
blinded with heartache and fear and confusion. And he said unto
them, What matter of communication are these, that ye have one to
another as ye walk, and are sad? Look at verse 21. They relate
the story of Jesus of Nazareth. But look at verse 21. But we
trusted that it had been He what should have redeemed Israel.
But now we just don't know. We'd hoped that He was that Messiah. We'd hoped that it was He that
should have redeemed Israel. But now we're just not so sure.
And beside all this, today is the third day since these things
were Done. Jump down to verse 25. Then he
said unto them, O fools and slow of heart to believe all that
the prophets had spoken. Ought not Christ to have suffered
these things and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses
and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures
the things concerning himself. It's all about Him. Somebody
said it's a hymn, a book. H-I-M. Jump down, if you will,
to verse 30. And it came to pass. Now remember,
I mean, I can't imagine how brokenhearted these must be. I mean, they saw
Him die and they thought that's the end of it. We thought He
would be the one that would redeem Israel. Oh! It came to pass,
as he said it, meet with them. He took bread and blessed it
and break it and gave to them. And their eyes were open. And
their eyes were open. Oh, that's what troubled hearts
need. That's what weary pilgrim needs.
Oh, just a fresh anointing. Just the glimpse of that one
that opened our eyes to begin with. And their eyes were open
and they knew him. It's him. And He vanished out
of their sight. They knew Him. Oh, again Paul said, that I might
know Him. My prayer for you is that you
might know Him. This is like that they might
know Thee, the only true God. Last of all, turn if you will
to Luke chapter 2. This last very familiar one. Luke chapter 2. This revelation of Christ is
the only thing that really prepares a soul to depart this life and
meet God Almighty. Only a revelation of Jesus Christ
can prepare us to depart this life and to meet God Almighty. That's what happened in Luke
chapter 2. Zadki is verse 25. I'm sorry,
Simeon. He's in the temple. Oh, Simeon,
it's your lucky day. No, no, no, we don't believe
in that nonsense. Behold, there was a man in Jerusalem
whose name was Simeon, and the same man was just and devout,
waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Ghost was
upon him. And it was revealed unto him
by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had
seen the Lord's Christ. And he came by the Spirit into
the temple. And when the parents brought
in the child Jesus, due for him after the custom of the law,
because he came not to destroy, but to fulfill the law, then
took he up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest
thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word. Why? Why? How? For mine eyes have
seen thy salvation. And you know what he was looking
at, Bob. He was looking at Christ. You mean that little baby? That's
God's salvation? That's all of God's salvation. And Simeon was looking at that.
At Jesus Christ himself. The person of Christ. Salvation
is not in a doctrine. It's in a person. The Lord Jesus
Christ. And that's who Simeon held in
his arms. And that's who he was feasting
his eyes on when he said, well, it's all over now. There's nothing
else worth living for. I'm ready to go. Just let me
die because I've seen your salvation. Now I can go in peace because
I've seen the Prince of Peace. That babe that he was looking
at, in about 33 years, would redeem that old man with his
own precious blood. He would enter in, yeah, for
a multitude that none can number, but also Simeon, and laid down
his life for him, and reconciled him to God." In Revelation chapter
22, as you've often heard, we commence this race by looking
unto Christ, we continue by looking unto Christ, and we'll end it
by looking unto Christ. Revelation chapter 22, we're
told, They, verse 4, shall see His face. They. All God's people. They. Everyone whose eyes were
opened on earth. Everyone who were blessed with
this blessed revelation of who Jesus Christ is. Oh, that's not
all. We're told that they shall No
need to panic. They shall without question see,
see not through a glass darkly, all but face to face. Face to
face. Face to face with Christ my Savior. Face to face what shall it be
when in rapture I behold him. Jesus Christ, who died for me. They shall see His face. Let me close by reading just
a couple of verses from Isaiah. Isaiah chapter 60, verses 19
and 20. And Lindsay will lead us into
closing him. Isaiah chapter 60, verse 19 through
21. The Son shall no more The sun
shall be no more thy light by day, neither for brightness shall
the moon give light unto thee, but the Lord shall be unto thee
an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall
no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself, for
the Lord shall be thine everlasting light. They shall see his face,
and the days of thy morning shall be ended." He'll wipe every tear
from their eyes. Thy people also shall be all
righteous. All righteous. Paul in 1 Corinthians
15 says, and we shall be changed. Thank God, I'm not always going
to be like I am now. I'm not going to have an ungrateful
heart. I'm not going to forget what he's done for me. Oh no.
They'll be all righteous and they shall inherit the land forever. The branch of my planting, the
work of my hands, that I, the triune God, may be glorified. Thank God for such a blessed
revelation. Blessed are your eyes, for they
see. Thank you for your attention.
Brother Lindsey, lead us in that hymn, would you?
