How do we know Christ's sacrifice is sufficient for our salvation?

Answered in 14 sources

We know Christ's sacrifice is sufficient through Scripture, which affirms that His blood alone cleanses us from sin and secures our salvation.

The efficacy of Christ's sacrifice is established in Hebrews 1:3, which states that Christ, by Himself, purged our sins and sat down at the right hand of God. This means that His one-time sacrifice satisfied divine justice and sealed salvation for His people. Additionally, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 assures us that God has not appointed His chosen people unto wrath but unto salvation through Jesus Christ. These passages explain that no work or addition is necessary from our side; Christ's work is finished and fully sufficient.
