How do we know that Jesus is the only Savior?

Answered in 14 sources

Jesus is recognized as the only Savior through His unique divine authority, sacrificial death, and resurrection, which are affirmed in the New Testament.

The New Testament clearly presents Jesus Christ as the only Savior of sinners. Key passages affirm His unique role, such as Acts 4:12, which states, 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.' This exclusivity is rooted in His divinity and His fulfilling the prophecies of the Old Testament, establishing Him as the Redeemer by divine decree and perfect obedience. His substitutionary death on the cross, coupled with His resurrection, proves His power over sin and death. This is affirmed in Romans 10:9, which states that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Therefore, scripture asserts that there is no other Christ, no other way to God, making Jesus the sole mediator between God and man.
