What does the Bible say about heaven?

Answered in 60 sources

The Bible describes heaven as a place where God dwells with His people, wiping away every tear and eliminating suffering and death (Revelation 21:4).

Heaven, as depicted in the Bible, is the ultimate fulfillment of God's promise to His people. It is described in Revelation 21 as a new heaven and a new earth, where God will reside with mankind and there will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain. This vivid imagery assures believers that all their sufferings in this life will come to an end, and they will experience eternal joy and fellowship with their Redeemer. John, in his vision, highlights that God's presence will completely transform the state of existence for His people, characterized by wholeness and peace as God Himself wipes away their tears.
