What does the Bible say about pleasing God?

Answered in 3 sources

To please God, one must have faith in Jesus Christ, as without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6).

The Bible clearly states that it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). This faith is directed towards Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is the object of our belief. God's pleasure in us does not come from our works or obedience, but from our faith in His Son and what He has accomplished on our behalf. Just as Enoch pleased God through his faith, so too do we, as believers, find our acceptance based solely on our trust in Christ and His righteousness.
