See, we are born into this world, beloved, dead in trespasses and sins, and our righteousness is like filthy rags in the eyes of the Lord. We have no righteousness to offer up to God for our salvation because everything we do is tainted with sin. Everything. That's why we must have the righteousness of Christ. And in order to be accepted in God's presence, we must be clothed in the righteousness of Christ.
