What does the Bible say about being complete in Christ?

Answered in 41 sources

The Bible teaches that in Christ all believers are complete, lacking nothing essential for salvation and acceptance with God (Colossians 2:9-10).

In Colossians 2:9-10, it is stated that 'in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and ye are complete in Him.' This glorious truth indicates that Christ encompasses all that a believer needs for salvation, sanctification, and ultimate glorification. Completeness in Christ signifies that nothing can be added to His perfect work; thus, believers stand acceptable before God solely through the merits of Jesus. Our completeness is rooted not in our own actions or righteousness but in the perfect righteousness and blood of Christ that covers all our sins.
